HomeCamper takes on Europe… new campsites across Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece and Slovenia!

Did you know that HomeCamper have branched out across Europe? Extending from their beginning in France to include many other cultures and camping experiences…

BAZA, SPAIN

In 2014 this Spanish family started to build a new ethical camping site on their beautiful olive oil producing property. With only three pitches available this site is small but perfectly formed, as the owners wanted to prevent overcrowding on their peaceful land. As well as the existing swimming pool and bicycles available to borrow, a ‘cave’ is being created with common rooms including a sitting room, kitchen and two showers.

CASTELBUONO, ITALY

For a taste of Italian culture, go camping in the Sicilian countryside, with panoramic views of mountains and farmland. This family welcomes you to bring your own tents and glamping pods, and during the summer months they are keen to show guests their tradition of harvesting ‘manna’ from the plentiful ash trees.  Local activities include horse-riding, swimming and trekking in the region’s spectacular natural environment.

SEŽANA, SLOVENIA

With all positive reviews and a friendly host on hand, this beautiful garden in Slovenia offers a wonderful option for camping in tents, caravans and small motorhomes. Host Ermilda recommends local activities accessible from her village of Štorje; the colorful village Štanjel with its medieval history, the cave of Postojna, and the medieval castle of Predjama.

LUZ, PORTUGAL

Head to Southern Portugal for a peaceful and wholesome stay amongst orange trees and olive trees, with views of the Serra da Estrela – the ‘star mountain’. With a swimming pool, BBQ area, and lunch and dinner on request, the warmer climes of the south sound perfect to us!

Camping across Europe couldn’t really be easier with the Ferries and Eurotunnel services running all season. Brittany Ferries have a direct route from the UK to Santander and Bilbao, and they give plenty of advice for travelling with pets, too. We’d love to hear about your routes across Europe and how many countries you have managed to camp in this summer!
