What to visit in the department of Indre-et-Loire?

The city of Tours, capital of the Indre et Loire, is particularly lively, especially with its many markets that punctuate the week (flower markets, second-hand clothing stores, flea markets, local products and many others). Tours also houses several exceptional buildings, such as many Gallo-Roman remains, including the Castrum wall, remains of ancient terms and the underground galleries of the Fine Arts Museum, which can be visited. The imposing Basilica of Saint Martin or the Cathedral of Saint Gatien are also absolutely worth seeing!
Several beautiful villages are part of the wealth of Indre-et-Loire.
The village of Crissay sur Manse will surprise you with the ruins of its castle or its Saint-Maurice church. Montrésor, located 60 km from Tours, regularly attracts visitors who come to see its beautiful castle. Candes-Saint-Martin has many historical monuments, such as its collegiate church or its feudal bridge.
