In Hauts-de-Seine, the business district of La Défense is undoubtedly the most famous in the department, attracting thousands of visitors every year. As a tourist district, the La Défense district is nevertheless the largest business district in all of Europe, where nearly 1500 companies coexist. The Art Museum, the Défense Museum and the "grande arche de la fraternité" are to be discovered! The Distillery Clacquesin is not to be missed, as it is a real treasure of the department's industrial heritage. The Malmaison Castle is worth a visit, with its car pavilion or its summer pavilion.
Beautiful walks are to be done on the island of Jatte, which once inspired many impressionist painters. The island of Jatte also has a historical monument to see: the "temple de l'amour", dating from the 18th century. Ile Saint Germain is accessible from the Issy or Billancourt bridges.
