What to visit in the Pays de la Loire region?

It’s a region full of resources: you’ll be able to participate in various festivals such as the festival of Poupet or the International Film Festival in La Roche-sur-Yon, the city of Napoleon. You may have the chance to attend the start of the Vendée Globe, a solo and unattended sailing race around the world, which takes place every 4 years, from Les Sables d'Olonne. Whether you have children or not, you may be attracted to the Puy du Fou, the amusement theme park featuring great historical shows and voted Best Park in the world! He takes up historical events in the history of the region to make shows. It is renowned for its nocturnal spectacle, the Cinéscénie, where there’s a mix of period fights, trained animals, special effects and pyrotechnics. You also have the possibility to reach the island of Noirmoutier by the road accessible to vehicles when the sea is at low tide, so you can visit the Sealand Aquarium, or the Atlantic Wall Memory, which offers you to visit blockhouses, for a slightly more historical view of the area.

When to visit the Pays de la Loire region?

The best time to visit the region remains the summer period, from April to October, for a sunny climate, but you can very much prefer a stay out of season, this is a period where you will have much less people and where you can make the most of the different activities offered.
