Philippe J.Due to a family problem, we had to cut our vacation short at the last minute.
The people who were supposed to receive us were very understanding. We weren't able to meet up, but the relationship was very pleasant all the same.
On the other hand, in addition to the ruined vacation, and despite the agreement of the people on site, I had to pay for my stay and there was no possibility of cancellation. -

It was wonderful! The setting is magnificent. Sophie is a generous and very human person. We had an excellent weekend. The jacuzzi is a big plus, which makes all the difference for a 5* campsite. Simply perfect. Thank you for everything.

Stéphanie C.Éric and his wife are very friendly and welcoming. The pool is very pleasant in this heatwave. The kids slept well because it was super quiet.
The small drawback is the lack of shade, but we managed that with their parasols.
The site is better suited to tents, although we were able to park our van in the parking lot.

Absolutely nothing to complain about. Welcome, grounds, access, peace and quiet, swimming pool (unfortunately I didn't try it out but it's not everywhere that you get such a bonus). I'd go back without hesitation.

It was a nice stopover!
The surroundings are beautiful: an almost 180° view of nature!
The only thing we missed was a bit of shade: it was very hot, and there is no flat land under the trees to pitch our tent. But the pool was a good alternative to cool off.
We would stop again if passing through again! -

We stayed 2 days at the Gaudel’s home - and it was just great. A beautiful place and a very hospitable family (we even got fresh eggs from their hens). Our boys (13 and 9 years) had a lot of fun in the pool and on the trampolin escpecially with the family’s youngest boy. It’s a very good point to start to hiking tours. We only can recommend this place

Their garden is very nice, just like in the cover photo. We spent the first afternoon just enjoying the pool, the second day we went for a hike nearby (plenty of choices)...
Our kids loved to hang out in the garden and use the trampoline, they quickly became friends with Eric's youngest and had good fun together.
Eric's and his wife were always available to give us advice when needed for ex. restaurants or hiking spots. Shower facilities and toilets were always available in the house.
The location was great for a 2 day escape from the city. It is a quiet little village in the country side, but still has everything you need, shops (grocery, bakery, etc) just a few minutes drive from the house, and if you want a nice restaurant the town Saint-Dié-des-Vosges is just 10 minutes drive.
All in all we had a great time and would go back in a heartbeat.

If you are on a hike, this is an excellent resting place:
Supermarket close by to refuel, on the edge of the forest, well served, very pleasant setting, there is even a corner with a mini waterfall and koi carp! Relaxation guaranteed with the sound of water.
I went back home reinvigorated and I invite you to meet them too.
