Description

Our land is above the Falaises des Vaches Noires approached by countrylanes. The gateway is on one of the country lanes, which leads down to Villers-sur-Mer without traffic with its long sandy beaches, restaurants and activities, open all year round. Our camping sites are well spaced and varied some with electricity available (extra charge). We provide a shower, 2 toilets and a kitchen sink with hot water. We are not a ‘glamping’ site but camping in a private garden. We are happy to accept a dog if it is kept well under control because we have a little flock of chickens who roam around the site all day. However, there is plenty of space for walking them around the site and in the adjoining lanes.

The setting

Our gateway is on one of the country walks, Le Chemin de l'Eglise au Manoir on ancient boccage lanes, free from traffic. Two restaurants are less than 10 minutes walk away, or 2 kilometers away in the town of Villers-sur-Mer.

The spots

We have created the camping pitches with mowed paths leading to them so as to be as far apart as possible to give a feeling of privacy and peace and quiet away from the buildings.

The sanitary facilities

The barn has been fitted out for Homecampers with a shower room with toilet and washbasin; an additional separate toilet and a kitchen sink for washing up, all with hot water.

Please note that we are on a septic tank and sand filter system and not on mains drainage. So please take short showers, respect the information sheet we put in the showers to explain this and take into account that we are offering camping in our private garden, not in a commercial campground.

In the laundry room there is a double sink with cold water, suitable for washing muddy boots, etc. and a washing machine (tokens 2 € per wash).

The amenities

3€ per night for direct connection to electricity from a motorhome/caravan.
Free WiFi (fiber optic) in and near the barn and electric sockets to charge your phone / tablet,

There is a picnic area and a BBQ can be hired with charcoal, price 5 € per night. Also we have two bronze firepit bowls to make a campfire, logs and firelighters included for 8 € per night.

Three minutes walk to Camping Bellevue Bambous Café, you can have coffee and snacks and it's also a bread depot where you can pick up your bread every morning - order it the day before until 5pm. Open subject to pandemic restrictions.

The activities

Villers-sur-Mer is a vibrant seaside town with all amenities on the Côte Fleurie.
In the summer there are concerts on the beach and numerous activities and animations.

Other things

We will accept dogs if they are kept well under control at all times
because we have a little flock of chickens who roam around the site all day. However, there is plenty of space for walking them around the site and in the adjoining lanes.

  • Very nice and quiet place with extremely nice hosts .
    Thank you !

  • Very pleasant stay this summer with Anne and Tom. The large meadow is really nestled in a green corner of Normandy.
    I highly recommend it.

  • It was very good! Only one night with a campfire. The welcome was perfect and the nature and peace great!

  • Very good welcome from the owners and Miguel who was very attentive.
The setting was nice, quiet and close to everything. We were able to go for bike rides to Cabourg, Villers sur Mer and Deauville.
The only little problem is the sanitary facilities which are old and need to be redone.

  • Great welcome from Anne, a very nice and pleasant person with whom we discussed at length while discovering the different corners of their large property.

  • Very friendly and welcoming hostess with ideas of things to do around.
Very quiet and charming grounds with chickens roaming free ☺️
A micro flat on the sanitary which although they are cleaned date in little, good it did not bother our stay for the few times or we need it ????
I highly recommend this site ????????

  • Welcome according to the description, but what can we say about the "neighbors" who have been living in a tent for a long time and who party until 4 am.
Thank you for being the police, it's a shame!

  • A great experience, rich in meetings and sharing of ideas and recipes.
We appreciated the simplicity and the good mood with which Anne welcomed us in her home.
We will come back to her house with great pleasure another time.

  • Anne is a very kind and communicative hostess. She puts at your disposal your huge and very beautiful property. A place in the middle of nature. Very quiet and very idyllic. You can see the sea through the trees. We were 4 days with Anne and enjoyed the peace and quiet there. A small village is about 10 minutes walk away. A larger village with everything you need can be reached in 30 minutes on foot. Toilets and showers are available. If you do not have great demands on the sanitary facilities, they are perfectly adequate in my opinion. Nevertheless, there are the sanitary facilities 2 stars less as far as cleanliness is concerned. We like to come back to Anne. Thank you for your hospitality.

  • It was a warm welcome from Anne, it was a beautiful garden to stay in with our self-contained camper, from there you could bike or walk to the beach, blissful. The chickens kept us company. The bathroom was not a must.

  • We were warmly welcomed by Anne who showed us the different places to park our van.

The place is quiet and bucolic, equipped with shower, toilet, multi plug and other comfort utensils.

A recommended place for a peaceful stopover.

Thank you Anne for your kindness, I will go to Juno and others if I have the chance to come back, deal !

  • They are very pleasant people we spent a very good time with a beautiful space I just put a downside on the sanitary facilities that are not very clean

  • We will come back with great pleasure in this haven of peace. which totally meets our expectations ....
    Thank you for your welcome.

  • 3 days spent in a very pleasant setting with very welcoming and warm hosts. We really enjoyed our stay.

  • Great first experience with Anne.

  • The only positive point is that Anne was very patient to guide us to her land and Miguel kindly welcomed us. For the rest, it was a big disappointment. Three nights on site and not a single contact with our hosts until we left. Many campers on the spot, too many for our taste. Of course the site is nice and well located but nothing to do with the pictures that show the private part of the property (misleading ad). For all these people, only one shower that has probably never been cleaned since it was built! Disgusting. Impossible to adjust the temperature, and no more water if another camper does his dishes. Two toilets... With paper! But only cleaned with a pshit of essential oils morning and evening for those who want to believe what is indicated... In the middle of a sanitary crisis! To finish, the "sanitary" space was assembled without taste nor talent, with bits of string... In short, a big impression that Anne found the right way to make money but certainly not to offer a positive experience. Several reviews before us mention the state of the shower, obviously it does not concern her! In short, a first experience far too expensive, I hope that the home camping is elsewhere more correct and qualitative!

  • Great experience with lovely hosts!

  • A perfect place for people looking for the calm and authenticity of the Normandy countryside, while being close to the city (nice walk to go down to Villers to do his market or simply enjoy the beach). Charming welcome, the sanitary facilities deserve some improvements to facilitate the cleaning but it's a detail compared to the joy of the site!

  • We had a great stay at Tom and Anne's place in a camper. The site is huge, quiet and very pretty. Our 3 and 5 year old daughters enjoyed playing with the chickens. What a pleasure to be able to use the sanitary facilities after several days in the camping car. The coast is beautiful, it was a nice discovery for us. Address to keep for the next vacations! THANK YOU with all my heart :)

  • Very pleasant stay at Tom and Anne's place. Very nice place with a beautiful view. Very nice village for hiking and biking by the sea.

    Thanks

  • because we stayed one night we only had contact with Anne. She was super friendly.
They have a larger property with multiple campers/caravans so we had the feeling we were more on a normal camping than at a home camper location.
The neighbors dog barked from 1 to 3 at night so we slept really bad in our tent.
We regret to say the shower was not clean.
Despite Anne being very friendly and helpful we give this location a poor rating because we didnt sleep and the shower was dirty.

  • Anne was very welcoming! English humor galore and learning the language hen ????????
Anne is very kind and we were able to enjoy a wonderful bucolic place and especially very very calm! Lovers of zenitude, this place is for you! The view is magnificent and the gentle crowing of the rooster is conducive to a gentle awakening!

  • We had a very nice time with Anne and Tom! Warmly received and a super location within walking distance of the beach.

  • We stayed with Anne and Tom for a week. The site is above the cliffs and is very quiet and beautiful! The hosts are attentive and reserved. To the village and the beach it goes down an idyllic footpath of about 2 km about 100 meters in altitude.
The sanitary facilities are very basic, we did not mind.

  • We spent a short time because it was just for the night, but it was very relaxing and calm. The beautiful chickens add a nice touch of nature to this great garden. Anne and Miguel were very welcoming. The only drawback is that the sanitary area is a bit old and could use a little more maintenance.
All in all it was a short but very pleasant stay! Thanks to all of you !

  • Everything was fine for me I planted my tent and slept well.

  • We had a calm and relaxing night at Anne and Tom's farm. The kids loved the chicken all around the place and we had a nice camper dinner on the bench and table in garden. Thanks also for the offered tow rope the next morning. Managed to get going without push-start, but need to definitely get the cranking motor somewhere on the road in France.

  • Very nice location with room for the kids to run around! Close to the beautiful beaches! Very smiling and pleasant reception. I recommend

  • what a peacefull quiet place.
we felt very welcome and I loved the view of the sunrise.
We will come back! thank you Anne

  • We spent 5 nights with our 4 children.
We had a very large site close to the sanitary facilities while being set back from the other campers.
The property is fully fenced and large, which allowed the children to play safely.
    The chickens can roam free.
    Warm welcome and well explained.

A small problem with the infrastructure (sink, showers, toilets): not very functional, old, lack of maintenance.

  • We had a wonderful stay. The setting is beautiful, each camper has his or her own privacy as the grounds are huge and bucolic. The chickens are ideal playmates for the children and the hosts are very welcoming and kind. Sanitary facilities are available to campers with access to a few convenient electrical outlets. We will definitely come back! Thank you for everything.

  • Anne and Tom’s camping site is just amazing. It’s a big piece of land with plenty of space to put your tent without losing privacy, even with other campers on site. There’s a beautiful view in the back of the garden and a stretch with some trees where you can find some shade during daytime or make a nice fire in the evening, wich some people did when we were there. Later on we took over the fire and Anne joined us a little later with her 2 sweet dogs and we had a very nice evening with her, drinking wine beside the fire, having very nice conversations. Furthermore Anne and Tom turned a little barn into a space with a little bathroom (shower and toilet), another seperate toilet and sink to do some dishes and some outlets to charge phones. This space is exclusive to the campers, and always accesible, without having to disturbe Anne or Tom.
The location is amazing, it’s peaceful and quiet, but only 1,5 km away from the vibrant seaside town Villers la mer with plenty of bars and resto’s and shops. There’s beautiful nature around and within walking distance, Les vaches noirs parc is easy accesible by foot, and the beautiful Normandic coastline is a dream to walk on. Conclusion: it’s a great place to camp and we will definately return!! Bart and Nathalie

  • A home camper baptism and a baptism at our just super nice hosts! A great place for my 4 and a half year old daughter and me. Important: make sure to respect the water consumption!

  • We had a beautiful time in a nice garden. The hospitality of Anne and Tom was welcoming and great, the environment superb. The quiet and lovely scenery and spectacular coastline makes it a place to remember.

  • Very good stay. Anne is very friendly and welcoming!
We will come back with great pleasure!
    To recommend +++

  • We had a great stay in the beautiful garden of Anne and Tom. The campground is very spacious and each spot has its own private corner far from others. Beautiful location close to the cliffs. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly. Warmly recommended :)

  • Nice site, far from the traffic! The first evening we could not settle on the meadow intended for the vans because the heavy rains had soaked it but we had arrived late anyway. The next day we had a very pleasant evening, settled on the meadow with a view to the sea (in the distance). The children played a lot in the meadow and ran after the chickens. Anne very wisely advised us to start our tour of the Normandy beaches with a visit to the Pegasus Bridge Memorial which is really worth it! Thank you Anne and John.

  • Another great stay with Anne and Tom. We look forward to our next visit to the area.

  • Fantastic place for visiting Villers, Deauville... in a nature landscape. Very nice communication with Anne & her mother. A fantastic place to start or end your holidays with a Van (or a Tent). Thanks again.

  • Thank you for your welcome! We will come back, the area is beautiful!

  • Very nice welcome by the owner and her assistant Miguel. Due to the bad weather we could not park on the lawn with our Camping Bus but had to stay on the parking. This one besides already well occupied by a car park in doubtful state. The site is very large and offers many charming places for tents. From the description we expected a barn with some facilities, but it was just an anteroom for the toilet and shower. There was a sink for dishes. The site is well situated in relation to the surroundings and above all quiet. However, the sanitary facilities had an improvised impression and were not really cleaned. We paid 51 Euros for 2 people and 2 nights in a camper, plus an electricity surcharge of 3 Euros per night, for a total of 57 Euros for 2 nights. Frankly, at this price, we expect more.

  • A great location with very friendly people!

  • Great place, well maintained, quiet and peaceful and a great welcome. The tent sites are well away from each other, everyone has their privacy while not being too far from amenities. I recommend it!

  • Great place, unfortunately it had rained continuously for 3 days and our mobile home got stuck in the lawn intended for caravans and campers. Be careful in rainy weather!

  • A peaceful place between sea and countryside

  • We enjoyed our stay with Tom and Anne very much. Lots of space for our camper and tent. Very nice view and area and close to the sea and beach. The hospitality of Tom and Anne was great.

  • Quiet and restful setting with the sea nearby, we will return

  • We spent a pleasant weekend at Tom & Anne's! The site is very pleasant in the heart of nature! With to come back!

  • Great welcome by Anne, very nice ground! ????

  • Great welcome and beautiful grounds! I would love to come!
