Description

We are open all year round.
Set above the Falaises des Vaches Noires, our gateway is on one of the country lanes (no traffic) which leads down to Villers-sur-Mer's long sandy beaches, restaurants and activities. Our camping sites are well spaced and varied. There are 2 showers, 2 toilets and a kitchen sink with hot water.

Additional facilities charged as a supplement. Please see below under 'Ameneties'
We require payment in cash on arrival for any extras.

We are not a ‘glamping’ site but camping in a private garden. We are happy to accept a dog if it is kept well under control because we have a little flock of chickens who roam around the site all day. However, there is plenty of space for walking them around the site and in the adjoining lanes.

The setting

We are adjacent to Le Chemin de l'Eglise au Manoir an ancient boccage lane, free from traffic. Two restaurants are less than 10 minutes walk away, or 2 kilometers away in the town of Villers-sur-Mer.

The spots

We have created the camping pitches with mowed paths leading to them so as to be as far apart as possible to give a feeling of privacy and peace and quiet away from the buildings.

The sanitary facilities

The barn has been fitted out for Homecampers with a shower room with toilet and washbasin; an additional separate toilet and a kitchen sink for washing up, all with hot water. A second shower room has just been added and will be ready for the season.

Please note that we are on a septic tank and sand filter system and not on mains drainage. So please take short showers, respect the information sheet we put in the showers to explain this and take into account that we are offering camping in our private garden, not in a commercial campground.

In the laundry room there is a double sink with cold water, suitable for washing muddy boots, etc. and a washing machine (tokens 2 € per wash).

The amenities

Free WiFi (fiber optic) in and near the barn and electric sockets to charge phone/tablet only,

3€ per night for direct connection to electricity from a motorhome/caravan.
8€ to hire a fire-pit (feu de camp) or a barbeque with all logs/charcoal, firelighters.
2€ per wash to use the washing machine in the laundry room.
Eggs, when available, 3€ for six.

If one person reserves on behalf of two families under the same booking, we charge the following supplements:
10€ per night for an extra van, car or trailer
7€ for an extra tent, per night.

The activities

Villers-sur-Mer is a vibrant seaside town with all amenities situated on the Côte Fleurie.
In the summer there are concerts on the beach and numerous activities and animations, including the casino and a paleantology museum.

Other things

We will accept dogs if they are kept well under control at all times
because we have a little flock of chickens who roam around the site all day. However, there is plenty of space for walking them around the site and in the adjoining lanes.

Rules

Enjoy your stay, keep the gate locked when you leave the site or come back, respect our privacy and that of other campers, eg: no late night noise.

  • It is a haven of peace, a small bench under a weeping willow invites us to dream! Not far from the beach, about 30 minutes on foot, a nice path that goes down to the sea, very good situation and our hosts are welcoming and considerate to make our stay the most pleasant!
    I will definitely come back!
    Thank you Anne and Tom!

  • We spent the night from 31/12 to 01/01 with our van at Tom and Anne C's place, nice, quiet, big space, welcoming people.
We appreciated to be able to shower after a rather sportive walk!
Only drawback, their dog in freedom, at the door of the van, barking on our dogs them attached. This is not the best way to get to know your dog.

  • A corner of Norman paradise, a very warm welcome from Anne, facilities at your disposal and even more! Everything was perfect, including the sun that was willing to show up during the time I spent at Tom and Anne's place ????
I will come back to stop by when I go back to Lille!

  • very quiet and restful place, Anne is charming and very welcoming, beautiful hikes to do, villers and Houlgate nearby by bike or on foot.
    We will come back

  • Excellent reception, very nice location

  • Good reception impeccable ground doyche clean toilet hot water good communication we will return there

  • Very welcoming hosts, quiet place with large grounds, too bad the sanitary facilities are poorly maintained.

  • A great sunny weekend with a very warm welcome as usual

  • Nice lot with lots of room and choices for pitching a tent.
You can set up close to the amenities or farther away, or even hide in the back of the park.
Amenities are centered under the main house.
Note the presence of two toilets.

Anne is charming and always ready to listen.

We loved being able to be almost autonomous when we wanted to and to meet someone to talk to if necessary.

Very close, the town of Villiers sur Mer offers the necessary shops and a very nice beach.

In short. We will come back without hesitation.

    Go for it.

  • We spent a good evening and a quiet night in Tom and Anne's beautiful garden. Serene and rejuvenating environment.
    We appreciated this break.
Good idea this garage for the sanitary facilities.
Thanks to you and maybe next time :)
    Good end of season !

  • Anne is a very nice person, welcoming and caring. We have not seen Tom. Super warm welcome. Heavenly place, quiet and restful. Electricity, water, showers, toilets and garbage cans. Fresh eggs from the chickens.

  • it was very good, very beautiful region, very good reception !!!

  • A great welcome. Eggs: a real treat. Thank you

  • We stayed with Anne for three nights at the end of September with our motorhome. Anne is a great woman who does everything to make you feel comfortable without being intrusive. We had the huge garden and the sanitary facilities (2 toilets and two showers, which were a lot more pleasant than all campsite versions before!) almost to ourselves. We were also able to do laundry (2€), use both clothes rack and clothesline, got lots of info, theoretically wifi (didn't reach into our camper), electricity for the camper (3€/night), fresh eggs twice (2€/6pcs), a great location to walk into the small town of Villers-sur-mer, lots of peace and quiet (and unfortunately rain) and the opportunity to make acquaintance with the free-range but well-behaved chickens (don't peck at your fingers, don't come into the camper) and the dogs walking with Anne through the garden, one older and cozy, one 4 months old and completely out of his mind when you pay him, or rather her, attention :) them, respectively :) Anne is (probably) English, but speaks fluent French. We liked it very much, everything there what one needs to come down. Thank you Anne, you have a little dream!

  • Great stay, quiet and heavenly place. The sanitary corner and the equipment available is great. Anne is charming!
A bus passes at one kilometer and serves all the cities from Le Havre to Caen. The two kilometers path to reach Villers and its beaches is very nice.

  • Huge ground, greenery and calm. This makes you forget the not so good sanitary facilities. The site is very well, rather close to the sea but if one goes down clearly to go there. Ouch, the return by bike ????. Honestly, great value for money

  • Restful and calm stay as desired. Many hikes to discover we will return

  • Anne is a very welcoming host. Nice land, in the countryside. In the quiet.

  • A beautiful and quiet piece of land, we had a wonderful time with adventure, relaxation and fun. Thank you Anna for your super friendly way and hospitality.

  • Very good stay with Anne! Very pleasant and available host, the setting is great

  • Thank you so much Anne and Tom for being such wonderful and generous hosts. I really enjoyed every moment of my stay, especially our conversations! The site is so beautiful and calming with amazing scenery all around. I left feeling rejuvenated and peaceful. I cannot recommend staying here enough.

  • We spent fantastic time on the yard, we will for sure come back!

  • What a beautiful stay! Thank you again for this first experience to be repeated. I will come back.

  • Finally we are not really happy with our stay on that camp-site. We booked two families with 6 Persons at all, and that's what we are. We had a tenttrailer and camping van as reserved, and we have two small tents for the kids.
But anyway, a campsite should have a minimum standard for the bathroom. It is not enough to declare, that you are not employee persons to cleanup the toilets and showers. Of course we take care about this, but we don't want to clean up your facilities from the dust and cobwebs of the whole season. It was nice to see the dogs and chicken live on your little farm, on the other hand there where dog poop everywhere. Also the description of the location is not very well: The next village, where the backery is located is about 2.4 km away, but the track is so bad, that you need around 40min. by foot. If you use the bike, you need a while as well, because of 100m height difference. So finally if you like to visit a backery before breakfast, you need to use the car every day. Because of this circumstances we decided, that we have paid more than enough for our stay. Hopefully the other homecamper-sites are better than this one.

  • A wonderful place, great experience, absolutely recommended

  • Very pleasant welcome
    Charming British accent ????????
    Friendly setting ????
    Good quality sanitary facilities
Thank you for this night at your place
    We will be back

  • Thank you for this week in your property
    we had a pleasant stay
    Leonard and Raymond

  • Hello. We spent a very good night in the tent rented from Tom and Anne. They lent us a mattress. The sanitary facilities are very good. I didn't know that we had to ask for permission to pick blackberries... Good continuation

  • Camping in the countryside, lots of space and comfortable facilities. Great for visiting the beaches of innormandia landings. Anne is very nice and welcoming

  • Pleasant and warm welcome
Quiet site, not far from the beach, large enough.
Disappointed about the installation of toilets and showers to be improved as well as the cleanliness.

  • Very pleasant stay, quiet and charming, we enjoyed with our family the warm welcome of Anne. Clean, practical and equipped, we recommend 100% and are sure to return!

  • We spent a pleasant weekend of August 15, very good reception, very listening, clean amenities, I will return with pleasure

  • Super stay!
Simple and very warm welcome, we will come back :)

  • It was a relaxed and quiet stay. The hosts were very friendly. Gladly again!

  • Great night! Lots of small spaces to camp or put your van. I recommend. The hosts are responsive!

  • nice and large plot of land in a quiet area with all the necessary comfort. clean shower and toilet.

  • Very pleasant first experience of gamping : nice place, very quiet and spaceful, so kind welcome from Anne

  • A first experience for us and not disappointed! The place is very large and peaceful, with a great spot to watch the stars at night. We will come back without hesitation if we come back! Thanks for the welcome.

  • Very charming place and a welcome from the owner at the top.
Thank you very much for your kindness.

  • We had a pleasant stay with the tranquility we desired in a natural area near a small forest and beautiful round hay bales.
Anne received us with simplicity, humor and attention.
P.s I hope you managed to clean your leather shoes stained by the gas !

  • Very nice place for our first HomeCamper experience. A charming and quiet welcome in a vast and calm setting. Clean toilets, respect for everyone.

The path to the beach is a bit sporty but the kids loved it. If you need to go and get breakfast by bike, it's possible, but in terms of security, it's a bit hot on the road.

Oh yes and there is the Paleospace next door. Fifty minutes walk along the beach. Quite nice to do.

I say that because Tom & Anne are of course the black cow cliffs and at low tide there is still a way to go fossil hunting.

In short a place to keep in touch!

  • Extremely beautiful place to camp! Totally uncomplicated arrival & many beautiful small places to camp where you are despite other guests for themselves!

  • We really enjoyed our time at this beautiful place. A quiet place in nature and within walking distance to the beach (20 min.) Thank you Anne.

  • We had a wonderful time at Anne's who welcomed us with good humor and kindness. The setting is superb, the land spacious which allows to be quiet and isolated. The surroundings offer many possibilities of walks and an easy access to the beach. We will keep the address and come back with great pleasure! Thank you.

  • Arrived for only one night, I received an excellent welcome. The place is quiet and easy to access.
The village is accessible via the beach (2km).
An address to remember and return.

  • Super stay in a spacious setting that allows for privacy and all the necessary comfort.
A quiet location and very well situated to reach the beach of Villers sur Mer on foot.
Thank you and see you soon

  • Very good welcome from Anne in her little corner of paradise
We had an excellent stay in a tent with all the necessary amenities
Anne is available, the place is ideal to be in the peace, to make walks in the green and to discover the cliffs of the black cows. The children loved the visits of the chickens and the small discreet dogs who came to seek caresses.
We were delighted with this meeting and our stay in the region.

  • First experience with Homecamper : very satisfied
Easy access - Very good welcome from Anne
Very pleasant site in the middle of nature, a few minutes from the sea, the city center and the bus
    Equipment corresponding to the description
Ideal for a quiet vacation in the middle of nature

  • Very good stay at Anne and Tom's, welcomed by daughter Emma. You will spend a good stay with a small pleasant path which allows to reach the beach of Viller sur mer... the toilets/showers are very well and accessible. You will have plenty of room to stretch your legs on the 2 hectares of the property... thanks to them and see you next time

  • Nice ground, clean sanitary facilities, thank you for the welcome.
