Description

This ad is primarily for people who wish to rent my caravan which is on site. If you have your own camping equipment or if you wish to ask for a loan of equipment, please use my other ad (referenced on Loché sur Indrois). I'm currently the only one listed on Home camper in Loché sur Indrois, so I have 2 ads, one for my plot and one for my caravan (both on the same site with the same services, of course). See you soon!

The setting

It's an old farmhouse in the commune of Loché sur Indrois, 5 km from the village. It's totally rural, on the edge of the Baugerais woods, 4km from the Loches forest. There are numerous circuits for walkers, mountain bikers and quad-bikers. It's not difficult to see wild animals (game, herons, etc.). Small shops 5km away. Tourist attractions within 1h or 1h30 drive (Châteaux de la Loire, Beauval Zoo, Festival des Jardins de Chaumont, Parc de la Haute Touche, La Brenne region...).

The spots

The on-site caravan is set up on the "canvas" part of the site (see photos).
Unfenced site, in harmony with nature.
It's a 2+1-seater folding caravan with a 2-burner gas stove and a small electric fridge. Instant booking possible in season. For off-season bookings, please give me 3 days' notice.
It is possible to lend me one or two small tents (3 places) if you tick an additional person (over or equal to 13 years) to the actual number (which is equivalent to the rental of the tent set up). The tent will be set up on your arrival if you give me 3 days' notice by confirming your booking. Thank you for your understanding

The sanitary facilities

You'll have access to a bathroom (shower and toilet) in the home, with independent access during the day, which also includes a sink for washing up. In addition, dry toilets are available in an old pigsty. Possibility of making a camping shower available (shower plugged into the cigar lighter with tent shower cubicle and hot-water canister) for "long stays"; please let me know 3 days in advance, by confirming the booking, so that I can have this accessory available, as I need to install it. Thank you for your understanding.

The amenities

Summer kitchen" area under an awning, with stove (oven and hob), fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee-maker, gas griddle, small barbecue, garden table, night lighting for summer evenings, crockery available, cold water point on the front of the house, 2 electrical sockets accessible from outside, extension lead loan, wifi. Swing available. Only the area under the awning is lit. I can also offer a simple camping area, if you have your own camping equipment, see my other advert for this, with the provision of the "summer kitchen" area and the bathroom in the home. For animals, the site is not enclosed (except for horses), but there is a small wire kennel that can occasionally accommodate a dog or cat or birds (or exclusive because not all at the same time of course!).

The activities

On site, walking, local festivals, a few historic monuments to visit (Chartreuse du Liget, Citadelle de Loches, Château de Montrésor), Lac de Chemillé (now a family water sports center with, among other things, accrobranche). Natural swimming in the Indre 5 km away, great for families. Pony club (ponies and horses) 15 minutes away. Verneuil golf course 30 minutes away, ULM aerodrome 10 minutes away. One hour's drive from Tours, Blois or Châteauroux. 20 minutes from Beauval Zoo and Seygi water sports center, half an hour from Haute touche wildlife park. Foret des livres in Chanceaux près Loches last weekend in August. And a little further afield, around 1 to 1? hours by car, the châteaux of the Loire to the north, and the Brenne ponds to the south. Also an hour's drive from the Jardins de Chaumont (international garden festival at Chaumont sur Loire), and 1h30 from Georges Sand's house.
My mare Pouchka and I would be delighted to take you for a walk in the forest, time and availability permitting.

Other things

Possibility of picking a few fruits or vegetables depending on the season. For specific motorhome needs (oil change), we'll have to see.
For longer stays, there's always "garden maintenance" to be done. If you'd like, and if you know a thing or two about it, you can lend a hand with garden maintenance in exchange for "reimbursement" of part of the reception fee.
I've tried to make a presentation for different styles of stay, +or - idle, +or - independent, +or - participative, it's up to you.

Rules

Please let us know your arrival time so that we can make arrangements. Generally speaking, the bathroom is accessible between 9am and 9.30pm, whether we are present or absent, but any special needs can be discussed.
As this is a private home, everything is your responsibility. In particular, if you have young children, they are under your responsibility and supervision. Please note that the property is not enclosed.
Similarly, if you have pets, please keep them under your supervision. They will have to accommder my 2 cats which walk with their liking on the ground.
Waste garbage cans and ashtrays are available, please use them.
The commune sort waste.
If not, bring your good humor and relaxed attitude, and we'll return the favor.
May this short-lived get-together remain a fond memory for everyone!
Enjoy your stay!
From experience, I must point out that I don't privatize my garden (so no exclusive reservations unless you reserve for 6 people from the outset). I manage reservations so that everyone can enjoy the peace and quiet of the place, as well as the advantage of not being "on top of each other", and this in a spirit of solidarity.

Extras

Possibility of breakfast (€3 / person)

French-style family breakfast, coffee, chocolate, tea, toast, butter, jam; croissant if possible in relation to booking deadlines. You book in a place that's far from everything! In the countryside, very natural, that's what makes it so charming!

Tent ready

I can lend you one or two 3-seater tents. I ask you to make an additional reservation (greater than or equal to 13 years) for tent rental. This means reserving 3 places instead of 2 if you are coming with 2 people, 4 places instead of three if you are coming with 3 people, etc... I would also ask you to give me 3 days' notice, by confirming the booking, as you will find the tent set up when you arrive. This is to prevent any risk of tampering that could damage the equipment.

  • Claudine was very accommodating about arrival and departure times.
The caravan, like the surroundings, allowed us to rest and recharge our batteries.

  • The place is very pleasant, practical and quiet.
    Claudine is very welcoming

  • Very good welcome Claudine is very friendly we can stop whenever we want no worries superb quiet place ( Pascale Philippe Marie and the two dogs Harry and Laskar) ????????

  • Very good first experience! To be repeated! We are welcomed in a green setting!

  • We spent a very nice evening and night in this nice caravan, in the company of frogs, a horse and a cat. Super quiet. We were not disturbed. Quiet is what I would call it. And Claudine gave us all the explanations we needed by bad, and also by a document in the caravan. Small barn with the necessary (fridge, sink, etc.).

  • Very quiet place. Perfect for a basic stay near nature. Good welcome

  • Big farmhouse with a summer kitchen
However, Claudine's friend welcomed me and then Claudine came by but I was alone in a big farm
    No breakfast although I paid
Plus : the place, the arrangement, the explanations
    Minus : price, and absence

  • Very pleasant host. I recommend it. The setting is pleasant and relaxing.

  • Very good stay with Claudine.
    Pleasant hostess.
Very nice place in the countryside.
    Dry toilets appreciable.
Very well equipped courtyard, very useful in case of rain.
Only one small drawback, the access to the shower room closes a little early. It would be necessary at this time to have a water point under the courtyard.

  • Very good reception, a clean bathroom at disposal, a calm and pleasant place in the middle of the countryside. A very successful last stop on the way back from vacation.

  • A very refreshing weekend spent with our hosts. A discreet and attentive welcome that we warmly recommend. The place is also beautiful, to recommend to people who know how to enjoy a natural environment in the respect of it!
