Description

Your own simple wooden cabin for up to 2 people, set on two terraces on stilts 2.50 m above ground, in the middle of a pine forest in Provence, 10-12 minutes from the sea. We're on the GR51 trail.
A quiet, restful place; an alternative to the tent... a little more comfort can't hurt! :)

For the hut, we really prefer two- to three-night bookings, as setting up the dry toilets, shower and sanitary facilities, cleaning, making the bed, refilling the coffee/tea refill, etc... are a bit too much for us to handle; bearing in mind that we've deliberately set a very low price and that campers' payments are almost entirely reinvested in the facilities intended for them :) or in the construction of a future new hut in 2024!

The setting

You'll be in the middle of the pines, on a restanque, in the peace and quiet of your cabin on stilts, with its two wooden terraces...
The cicadas will be present in summer, from June 15 to August 15, but they'll be (email hidden)No extraneous lights, a view of the vineyards through the pines, it's pretty quiet... :) There is a slight noise from the freeway in the distance, covered by the cicadas in summer, but still present.
Access by car is easy, and you'll be parked "a little in the shade" behind our large Cypress tree 150-200m from your cabin.

The spots

La Cabane de Trappeur is well located, with no view of our house, on a restanque at the far end of the plot with a view of vineyards two restanques down and villages in the distance (2 to 3 km).
The cabin gets plenty of sunshine in spring and shade when needed, which is appreciated in summer!
A double bed with a good mattress, ventilation, a kettle with complimentary tea/coffee/sugar for your entire stay, and a complete set of cutlery, plates, glasses, etc...

The sanitary facilities

The dry toilets to the right of the cabin are brand new, built for campers, spring 2021!

Since June 2022, there's also a sanitary area: a small, simple, clean space with a hot/cold water shower at the back of the hut!

Further on, you'll find a large hot/cold water basin for washing up and small items if required, and a large clothesline.

Organic and 100% degradable cleaning and hygiene products are requested.
The dry toilets are also brand new, and you'll see, it's very comfortable and there's not the slightest smell... and what's more, everything is recycled! :)

The amenities

Large shared fridge under shelter at your disposal, access to the freezer also possible (when we are there), drinking water accessible under shelter all the time, large accessible clothes line, Wifi Internet (everything) near our house, loan of diving masks, etc...

Don't forget to bring a small camping gas or electric stove for cooking, as this is not a gîte, but a camping hut ;)

The activities

Hiking, kayaking, snorkeling, fabulous golf courses with sea views, diving, horseback riding, boating, swimming, creeks, jet skis, paddles, sailing, rock climbing, paragliding, wine tasting at Bandol, Cotes de Provence or Cassis, all this is accessible within 15 minutes of the house, and sometimes even on foot!

Other things

A question... ask us!
A vehicle (car, bike, motorcycle, etc.) is essential as we're a bit far from everything, and on foot there's only a bakery and a delicatessen 10 minutes away (one way...)!

As far as the hut is concerned, we really prefer to book for two to three nights, as setting up the dry toilets, shower and sanitary facilities, cleaning, making the bed, refilling the coffee/tea refill, etc... are all a bit too much for us to handle; bearing in mind that we've deliberately kept the price very low, and that gamers' payments are almost entirely reinvested in the facilities intended for them :) or in the construction of a future new hut!

Rules

No fire, neither BBC on the wooden terraces nor in the hut (but stoves are possible under a dedicated shelter) and therefore guests who don't smoke or who really (but really!) know how to manage their cigarette butts, as the risks of fire are real in Provence :)
Waste management is a must, but doesn't that seem obvious?)
For the rest, you are isolated from our house, quietly in the middle of the pampa for the campers or at the back of the parking space for the camping car or on your restanque, in the trapper's hut with its 2 terraces on stilts!

No fire on the wood decks or in the cabin (but possible to use a torch under a dedicated shelter) and therefore non-smoking guests required, or people who take care of their cigarettes, fire hazards are real Provence :)
Waste management imperative, but it seems obvious right? ;)
Otherwise, you will not be stuck to our from our house, you will be alone in the middle of the land with your tent, or at the end of the parking area with your mobil home!
