Description

cultural program of Himalaya

The setting

Explore himalayas & nature's beauty with us
If you dream of exploring the breathtaking beauty of the world famous mountain range & nature rabge, there is hardly a better way to do that then by trekking the world famous trekking rotes in Nepal. The natural, cultural and architectural beauty of this beautiful Himalayan country is waiting to enthrall you. Come and explore the Himalayas with us!
Responsible Toursim
Responsible Tourism is about making "better places for people to live, and better places for people to visit". It's a new way of travelling and trekking and it's about respecting and benefitting local people and the environment- but it's also about far more than that.
The tourism industry is not just for tourists. As tourists, we want enriching holidays. Local people - whose homes we visit - need local jobs & livelihoods and ways to sustain their natural and cultural heritage. Sometimes the tourism industry meets the needs of both tourists and local people & conservation, but too often it's exploitative. We are guests of the local communities we pass through and with some thought and care; we can ensure that everyone benefits from the experience/trips.

The sanitary facilities

What We Do?
In order to practice responsible tourism, Ganesh Himal Hiking Team is guided by the motto "Take nothing but pictures, Leave nothing but footprints." We design our itineraries and operate in the field guided by the principles of ecotourism and sustainable tourism. Furthermore, all our staffs have been given environmental training and are very sensitive to the delicate eco-systems we enter.
Ganesh Himal Hiking Team is also a social-activities oriented organization. We have helped people to organize several welfare activities. We also believe in philosophy that tourism can be defined as an important creative force in order to create awareness about the importance of maintaining fresh and clean environment among the locals. With this, not only tourists but locals also will learn how to minimize pollution, and come to realize the importance of local cultures, religion and heritage in this era of globalization.

Economic
All of Ganesh Himal Hiking Team's staff are locally employed ensuring a more authentic experience for the travellers, as well as sensitivity to local customs and culture. We use local products and also encourage our clients to buy locally made crafts and support local skills to enhance maximum economic benefits to the local communities and, encourage the positive sides of tourism.
Education Support
We have provided various basic educational facilities and necessary stationary items in the schools located in remotest parts of Nepal, mainly in the Dhading, and Gorkha district. It is a fact that students in such areas suffer from lack of basic educational facilities. They lack proper school buildings, furniture, reading and writing materials, and library, and other facilities such as toilet, clinics and sports materials. We incorporate with the teachers and guardians and provide the most essential education materials on our sole effort.
Moreover, we organize school based teaching and learning programs to sharpen their knowledge and to motivate. Many of our travellers have also volunteered to stay and teach in schools in the remotest parts of the country.

Ecological and Environmental impact
We conduct all our treks and tours with a vigilant eye to avoid any disturbance to the local ecology or way of life. We continuously strive to make sure travelling with Ganesh Himal Hiking Team in Nepal and elsewhere have minimum impact on the local environment. We ensure that our expeditions comply with the policies with are socially, environmentally and culturally friendly. Our crews are also fully trained in the same matter. We all agree that low impact trekking/touring is the best way to preserve the beautiful and fragile places you visit. We are dedicated to save global environment, preserve the natural beauty of our country, and most importantly to make your journeys in Nepal and other places very enchanting and memorable.
