Description

For lovers of nature, calm and serenity. Halfway between Mont-Saint-Michel and the D-Day landing beaches. Close to some great festivals!

The setting

We are an organic micro-farm producing aromatic and medicinal plants, berries, edible flowers and heirloom vegetables. A green setting: working in biodynamic and permaculture methods, the crops are mixed in a lightly landscaped park, with trees and scents, and nooks and crannies with different atmospheres and scents. These nooks and crannies are at your disposal, but dogs are not allowed.

The spots

The site is flat, with pitches available everywhere for a small tent. If your tent is bigger, or if you're with a family or caravan, you can set up under the apple trees.
For a camper van (max. 6m long), you'll find a semi-shaded spot near our hall, between an old apple tree and a hundred-year-old oak, close to all amenities.
Car parking is available at the entrance.

The sanitary facilities

Independent dry toilets in a wooden building near the field.
Bathroom with shower accessible in our house, morning or evening, on request.
Drinking water nearby. Rainwater at will

The amenities

Electricity in the wooden building, or we can provide a table and chairs if you wish to have breakfast or a meal in damp weather.
A fire can be built during the day for grilling, or in the evening for pleasure. Wood sold by wheelbarrow.
Clothesline.
You can also buy seasonal herbs and fruit at the market.
Internet available close to the house (wifi).
A real bread oven will soon be available for epicurean campers.

The activities

To discover the surrounding area, here's some practical information.

3 km away, in Canisy, all shops, including pharmacy.
-Château de Canisy, whose owners open the park to the public free of charge every day.

Other things

As this is a farm, and therefore our workplace, during fruit and herb production periods, picking is not permitted without our authorization, as the fruit is often already reserved. Similarly, pets are not allowed.

Rules

The basic rules of living together, respect for other cultures and the best of yourself in a quiet, natural setting will be enough to make this a pleasant, convivial experience.
Arrivals from 5 p.m. and departures no later than 12 a.m.
The independent fridge is only fully available when fruit is not being picked.
Bicycle battery recharging is free of charge, but for cars and motorcycles, an additional charge will be agreed.

Eric and Marie Claude are beautiful people, lovers and passionate about nature.
They gave us a warm welcome and showed us their beautiful fruit and herb garden.
We had the right to a tasting of different jellies and jams with original and tasty associations.
The availability and the kindness of this couple touched us a lot. A very nice meeting.
    I recommend without hesitation.

  • For those with a gourmet eye, Belhomiere appears to be what it is as soon as the gate is crossed: a paradise.

And even with a strong appetite, the gourmet eye and the greedy taste buds will not be able to get enough, so many discoveries to make, in a multitude of nooks and crannies where small wonders are nestled. You can walk on a carpet of short grass and meet islands where dozens of varieties of flowers, fruits, shrubs and trees of all kinds are nestled. To land in the middle of this universe is a privilege.

The geographical position of the Belhomiere allows you to discover the wild beauty of the land and the shores of the Cotentin peninsula and the Bessin.

Welcoming, Marie Claude and Eric take care of the well-being of their guests.
They do not hesitate to share their passion and give particularly wise advice to make the most of their stay.
Cherry on the cake, their productions: small fruits, aromatic herbs, jellies, jams, etc

We spent a delicious vacation at the Belhomiere.

  • We are delighted with our stay. Our hosts were really available and warm. The country garden is a little corner of paradise. The location is perfect to discover the Channel but also the D-Day beaches, Bayeux ...
