Description

I've tried to make a presentation for different styles of stay, +or - idle, +or - independent, +or - participative, it's up to you.

The setting

It's an old farmhouse in the commune of Loché sur Indrois, 5 km from the village.
It's totally rural, very natural, on the edge of the Baugerais woods, 4km from the Loches forest. There are many circuits for walkers, mountain bikers and quad-bikers.
It's not difficult to see wild animals (game, herons, etc.). Small shops 5km away. Tourist attractions about an hour, hour and a half away by car (Loire castles, Beauval Zoo, Chaumont Garden Festival...).

The spots

Basic pitches on bare ground with varying degrees of shade and flowers, depending on the season.
Caravans and motorhomes welcome in the farmyard.
Unfenced plot.
Possibility of accomodating in my folding caravan (2 or 3 places with gas stove 2 fires), to see second advertisement on the site.
Possibility of lending one or two tent sheets (3 places). For rates, see the "tent loan" section.

The sanitary facilities

You'll have access to a bathroom (shower and toilet) in the home, which also has a sink for washing up. Independent access during the day.
In addition, dry toilets have been installed in an old pigsty, making them independent.
Possibility of making a camping shower available (shower plugged into cigar lighter with tent shower cubicle and hot-water canister; please give 3 days' notice for this accessory, as I need to install it). Thank you for your understanding.

The amenities

Awning as summer kitchen, fridge/freezer, stove, microwave, coffee maker, plancha, garden table, crockery available, night lighting for summer evenings, no running water under the awning (see photo). The "summer kitchen" is not operational out of season, but the awning remains accessible all year round. Swing available. 2 electric sockets are available outside, extension leads are available, Wifi.
Only the area under the awning is lit.
Possibility of lending one or two tents (3 places). For rates, see "tent rental".
I also offer accommodation in my folding caravan, for 2+1 people (with 2-burner gas hob and electricity), see my other ad on this site (on Loché sur Indrois).

The activities

On site, walking, local festivals, a few historic monuments to visit (Chartreuse du Liget, Citadelle de Loches, Château de Montrésor), Chemillé lake (now a family water sports center, including accrobranche).
Natural swimming in the Indre 5 km away, great for families. Pony club (ponies and horses) 15 minutes away.
Verneuil golf course 30 minutes away, ULM aerodrome 10 minutes away.
One hour's drive from Tours, Blois or Châteauroux.
20 minutes from Beauval Zoo and Seygi water sports center, half an hour from Haute touche wildlife park. Foret des livres in Chanceaux près Loches last weekend in August.
And a little further away by car (1h or 1h30), the Loire castles to the north, and the Brenne ponds to the south.
Also an hour's drive from the Jardins de Chaumont (international garden festival at Chaumont sur Loire), and 1h30 from Georges Sand's house.
My mare Pouchka and I would be delighted to take you for a walk in the forest, time and availability permitting.

Other things

Possibility of picking a few fruits or vegetables depending on the season. For specific motorhome needs (oil change), we'll have to see.
For longer stays, there's always "garden maintenance" to be done. If you'd like, and if you know a thing or two about it, a little help with garden maintenance in exchange for "reimbursement" of part of the reception fee, make the proposal to me at the start of your stay... we can always work something out.
I've tried to make a presentation for different styles of stay, +or - idle, +or - independent, +or - participative, it's up to you.

Rules

Please let us know your arrival time so that we can make arrangements. Generally speaking, the bathroom is accessible between 9am and 9.30pm, whether we are present or absent. However, any special needs can be discussed.
As this is a private home, everything is your responsibility. In particular, if you have small children, they are under your responsibility and supervision.
Similarly, if you have pets, please keep them under your supervision.
Please note that the site is not enclosed.
Please use the garbage cans and ashtrays provided.
The commune is committed to waste separation.
If not, bring your good humor and relaxed attitude, and we'll return the favor.
May this short-lived get-together remain a fond memory for everyone!
Enjoy your stay!
From experience, I must point out that I don't privatize my garden (so no exclusive reservations unless you reserve for 6 people from the outset). I manage reservations so that everyone can enjoy the peace and quiet of the place, as well as the advantage of not being "on top of each other", and this in a spirit of solidarity. In the same spirit of solidarity, everyone is asked to clean up after themselves to leave the communal areas clean and neutral for the other campers.
Thank you for your understanding

Extras

Possibility of breakfast (€4 / person)

French breakfast": coffee, tea, milk, chocolate, bread or rusks or toast, butter, jam, orange juice, pastries if possible. To be agreed when booking. You've come to a very natural place, far from everything! That's what makes it so charming! so viennoiseries are possible, yes! but I'm sure you'll understand.

Tent ready

For a tent loan, as for the camping shower or bicycles, it is necessary to inform me by reservation confirmation, at least 3 days in advance. Thank you for your understanding.
I have two 3-seater tents that I can put at your disposal. For the rental of this equipment, please mark an additional person (over or equal to 13 years) on your reservation (3 people if you come with 2; 4 people if you come with 3 etc...) There is also the possibility of lending an inflatable mattress, insulating foam, a small camping table or 2 folding camping chairs. You'll find the tent set up when you arrive, to prevent any risk of mishandling the equipment and damaging it.

  • We spent a good weekend at Claudine's ☺️ it was calm and pleasant, we will return with great pleasure.

  • The ideal place for a break in the quiet countryside. Very warm welcome from Claudine and Yves. The true nomadic spirit, in the simplicity, naturalness and kindness of the hosts. Don't hesitate to discover it, especially with the fine weather on the way...

  • Very pleasant welcome by Claudine. Very quiet site in the heart of nature.
Thank you very much for this stay.

  • Very good stay, pleasant welcome. Ideally located for visiting the Beauval zoo.
A pleasant meeting with other campers, the common space is conducive.

  • I regularly stay at Claudine's house, as I am following a training course nearby.
The welcome is always very good.

  • Very pleasant reception and place

  • Very nice welcome, nice and quiet place.

  • Great experience, I highly recommend a stay with Claudine. We were quite late for our arrival but Claudine was very accommodating. Great breakfast! We are delighted!

  • Very calm and restful environment, we stayed in the caravan that Valerie put at our disposal (it is suitable for a height not exceeding 1,70m ???? !)...
The courtyard is equipped with the necessary equipment to cook a minimum... A moment spent out of our usual framework!

  • Claudine was a host available before our arrival and on the day of our reception. And she took the time for a little welcome/exchange, very nice. We will come back with pleasure if the opportunity arises.

  • We booked at the last moment in the middle of All Saints' Day, and despite everything Claudine was able to welcome us as it should be.
Wake up at the top with the horse coming to say hello !

  • Reservation made at the last minute given the weather of the weekend.
We were very well received. The summer the site must be a real little paradise. Maybe one day . thank you

  • Claudine received us in extremis in a very quiet place, and super well equipped,
we spent an excellent and pleasant night. The cat also welcomed us very warmly, very nice environment, thank you!

  • Short but excellent stay on Claudine's land.
On the spot all the basic necessities, shower, sanitary, fridge, electric current available for a moderate use (charge of the portable for example).
    Very nice welcome and discussions.

  • Thank you to Claudine for the welcome during our first home camping, it was a beautiful experience to renew in a beautiful corner of nature. Good continuation to you

  • Old farm where we spent a short but pleasant stay.
Everything is present for a comfortable stay in a beautiful setting!
    We were satisfied

  • We spent an excellent night at Claudine's, very relaxing place, if we come back in the region, we will come back without hesitation. Welcome, breakfast, everything was perfect.

  • We were very well received by Henry and Claudine. Discovery of the region which was a discovery for us.the laptop and full of photos of the village of montresor. A very nice place for us to stay.

  • This was our first home camping experience with my husband and our two boys. It was quite exceptional. Claudine, Henri and their little girl are extremely welcoming and warm. They did everything to make us feel comfortable. A very nice meeting. The place in the middle of the countryside is very beautiful, soothing and invigorating. Getting up in the morning, seeing the sunrise over the water with the frogs, Pouchka, Claudine's mare and Ninouche, a very sociable and affectionate little cat, is a real pleasure. The terrain is perfect for our very large tent. The summer kitchen is very practical and we shared pleasant moments in all simplicity. We will come back, for sure. First of all for the pleasure of finding this beautiful family but also to continue to visit the region. The stay was too short!!!

  • In the middle of the countryside, quiet, near Loche and Montrésor. Good welcome and restful sleep! Thank you

  • A very nice first experience at Claudine and Henri! A magnificent setting and very welcoming hosts.
We will keep the address and hope to meet again at our place ????

  • A natural and smiling welcome for a night in the heart of a beautiful countryside. A stopover to recommend !

  • We spent a very good Week end. Warm and welcoming hosts, charming place. Forest of Loches accessible by bike with a small step on the road (few vehicles).

  • Very nice location to discover the south of Touraine and warm welcome.

  • We were very well received by Claudine in her pleasant garden. The main amenities are available independently and Claudine is very accommodating. In view of the bad weather she was ready to lend us her caravan and mattresses. She knows how to be both available and discreet. We got to know her adorable cat and her beautiful horse. The surroundings (Loches, forest, villages) are superb. To be redone.

  • A very nice first experience of gamping in family at Claudine's place. Claudine's welcome was perfect with nice little touches (advice in the surroundings, installation of swings for the children, provision of a stove because we had a problem with ours,...). The site is very beautiful and quiet, the ground is flat and the sanitary facilities are impeccable. I strongly recommend it.

  • Great place for a quiet country break before the ZooParc de Beauval!

  • The stay was short, but in this short time Claudine was a very pleasant and available host. The place where we pitched our tent is a real haven of peace for people in search of calm and greenery. We will be happy to return for another discovery of this beautiful region

  • We spent a night with our family at Claudine's house in order to be able to go to the Beauval zoo very early the next day. The setting is great and the place is very quiet. Claudine had even prepared a small itinerary for us to get to the zoo more quickly (which was very useful). If one day we have to return to the region we will return without hesitation.

  • It was a joy to be Claudine's first gamers. We appreciated the availability of the amenities for our overnight stay. The place, secluded, allows calm and tranquility. The friendly presence of the horse adds to this serenity. Claudine took the time to share with us a moment of conviviality around a coffee. We recommend this very pleasant stop.
