Description

Situated in the countryside, not overlooked, you'll love this 1200m2 gated country plot with trees.
Arriving from St Pierre, turn right at the La Bétaudière roundabout, route du moulin des combes. The plot is about 800m on your left, called "Terrain de La Lande".
A peaceful Oleron experience that will recharge your batteries with friends or family, much more pleasant than camping (less crowding, less noise, etc.).
Shops, restaurants, bars in the town center and beaches 5 minutes away by car or 10 minutes by bike.
Please let us know one day before your arrival!

The setting

Natural, rural, shady area.

The spots

Space for parking vehicles, tents or caravans and children's play equipment. Flat land with easy access. There can be other people on the site (3 different areas).

The sanitary facilities

Dry toilets (bring your own toilet paper!). Shower area (with 1 x 20l solar shower - bring your own if you want more, thanks - bring bio-degradable shower gel/soap).
No drinking water, but there is a well pump. The water is cloudy this summer 2023. Drinking water in 20l cans can be collected free of charge from the owner in St Denis. 1 can on site, bring your own if necessary. Thank you for your help.

The amenities

The plot has no electricity. Provide the necessary... Next to the dry toilets there is a sink under cover for washing up... bring biodegradable washing-up liquid.

The activities

Exceptional environment, authentic nature, many water sports activities. Market and shops in the town center and on the harbor, beaches on the wild coast of Les Huttes (surfing, kite surfing, wind surfing, body boarding...) and the more sheltered La Boirie beach with its picturesque multicolored bathing cabins (tourism and disability label), sailing school, bowling alley, mini golf, Qi Gong, restaurant outings, concerts in the marina bars, boat trips, sea fishing, fishing on foot, hiking trails, La Rochelle, Fort Boyard and Ile d'Aix cruises, arts and crafts, not forgetting the majestic Chassiron lighthouse and its remarkable garden, with its breathtaking panoramic view over Ré and La Rochelle!

Other things

Come and discover this very tip of the world. You won't regret it!

Rules

Respect the site, other people present at the same time as you, and the environment in general. The site must be left in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period. Nearby: bottle banks for glass, food waste and recyclables at La Michelière and at the mill parking lot near the church (2 minutes by car).

  • Pleasant week on this part of the island in a very charming setting.

  • Enclosed area, little traffic, close to the village and beach.
Pascal is attentive to your needs

  • Very welcoming and accommodating host. The grounds were well maintained and corresponded to the description given! ????

  • Pascal is a very available person.
He regularly supplied us with water.
The grounds are pleasant and shady.
There are dry toilets and a shower cubicle that could be improved.
    We recommend this site.

  • One night spent on the site.
Quiet, very friendly welcome, we were satisfied with this overnight stay.

  • Clean, pleasant grounds, easy to access and find.
Very clean dry toilets, we didn't use the shower as we were self-sufficient.
    Super responsiveness from Pascal
    Don't hesitate!

  • All right!

  • Super accommodating because I arrived late and Pascal couldn't welcome me, but I was able to get there and settle in for a peaceful night. Thank you
A bonus for the dry toilets, but there was no water supply ????

  • A quick but very refreshing stay! We spent a very good night on Pascal's property! He was very attentive when we arrived, nothing to complain about it was a great experience! ✨

  • Very nice, the site is clean and quite large. Pascal is very kind and there when you need him.
My only drawback is the road next to it, which is quite busy. But if you're in a van/camper, it's probably not too inconvenient. Fortunately, I'm a fast sleeper in a roof tent ????

Anyway, have a good weekend on the Ile d'Oléron!

  • Memorable stay, we were able to spend a pleasant week, no bad surprises, only positive.
Pascal was able to respond as quickly as possible to all our concerns, even personal.

    I recommend

  • Nice fenced plot, clean dry toilet.
A few pedal strokes from Saint Denis, the lighthouse of Chassiron and the Brée des bains.

  • The stay at Pascal's place went very well. The only drawback was the fact that on the ad it was marked that there was a solar shower and on the spot it was not there

  • A very quiet place, we spent a quiet night there, the water at disposal is a plus.
Thank you for the friendly welcome.

  • Pascal could not welcome us, but the land is very good!
The dry toilets and the shower tray are in a very good condition!
We are not far from a road where we can hear the traffic and the helicopters flying over the island very regularly!
I recommend this very spacious site with shade!

  • Great welcome from Pascal's parents.
At 7mn by bike from the amenities and close to the tracks to navigate and discover this beautiful coast.

  • Quiet site (despite some cars driving fast on the small road), isolated and fenced.
Pleasant because of the space for each camper with large and distant pitches and shade.
    Pleasant host.
Small negative point: some campers did not pick up their dog's poop (we were there with our 2 dogs) but the host is not responsible.

  • Small stay in a quiet place. The site is very well located and Pascal is very welcoming. At the top

  • Hello
Nothing to say. Very well situated site we went by bike. No noise just two very respectful seasonal workers and another camper.
It is necessary to be autonomous and to foresee its emptying in a service area. The dry toilets are a plus.
We will come back with pleasure
    Philippe and Aline

  • Clean and close to the Bree, St Denis by bike or on foot for good walkers, friendly welcome from the owners, ideal away from the crowding of vehicles on the Moulin camping car area. Just provide outlets for the tapes and full of water .... ideal for campers or cyclists. Thank you Pascal or Laurent or François. Emilie

  • Great, especially with the dry toilets it's a real plus!

  • Great weekend on the island of oleron. The land is quiet next to the beach and not far from the lighthouse:
    The setting is great.
Thank you very much to Pascal and his parents for the welcome !
It's sure we will come back.

  • Much better than being crammed into the campsite.

  • Very nice land, well located, quiet .
    Pascal is very nice.
Stay really at the top for us!

  • I was disappointed not to be able to make a fire contrary to what was indicated on the announcement. There were a lot of people on the bivouac world whereas I had understood that there were only 2 sites. I finally stayed only one night but the owner offered me a refund. Thanks to him. I am waiting for him.

  • I spent 3 nights in August with Pascal.
Pascal's mother is very welcoming and nice.
The stay went well and the other "home campers" were very nice.
The road is busy and the cars drive fast.
I will come back there next time

  • Flat and pleasant ground, dry toilets and water point for the dishes. Small disadvantage, on the roadside, so it's a bit noisy.
Close to the villages (La Brée les bains and St Denis) by bike, it's great.

  • Pascal is very welcoming and his land is very nice!
Equipped with a water pump, dry toilets, and soon a sink for washing dishes.
Thanks again for this moment on the island! We will be back!

  • Very good welcome from Pascal and his parents. Practicable ground with our 2 tents and 3 children! The shed for dry toilets and solar shower is very practical.

  • We spent 2 nights in the field. Pleasant because few campers at the same time. The site is planted with trees and we were able to enjoy the shade. Not far from the center and the beaches of Saint Denis but the road is very busy and dangerous, especially with children on bikes.

  • Vacant land made available to many campers without real coordination and exchange...not really the spirit of home camping...we were disappointed.

  • We arrived a little late in the evening, Pascal's mother explained us by phone how to find the site. We were welcomed by other home campers, nice atmosphere! Dry toilets are available on the site.

  • Very good reception by our host of the day. Availability at the top! Very nice setting for a night.

  • Frankly one of the best reception that we can have Pascal is this is parents have welcomed us very well a great j Caribbean is very nice meetings with other campers have returned quickly

  • Friendly welcome, the owners came to welcome us and tell us the history of this land. They are very attached to the well being of their guests. To recommend.

  • We had a great time on the grounds. So good that we have extended our stay
A very good welcome from Pascal and his parents.
Ideally located, fenced and wild perfect for us who were looking for authenticity and calm
Thank you for everything! To do it again !

  • Clean site with a good welcome.
Perfect for a small natural camping trip on the island.

    Thank you!

  • We were warmly welcomed by Pascal's parents.
Very pleasant ground, water with the pump not drinkable but quite fresh and soon dry toilets and a solar shower so it will be even better!

  • Very good reception spacious and calm ground. Campfires in the evening the real bivouac!
    To be redone.

  • Very good stay with a great welcome

  • Pascal and his brother welcomed us very well in this quiet and rural area, it was very pleasant

  • Thanks to Pascal for his welcome we are not far away and we will come back for sure and we recommend this quiet isolated plot of land without neighbors and only five minutes from the center of Saint-Denis

  • A very nice and well-kept little grassy area to spend the night in peace. No noise around, very close to Saint-Denis and not far from the Chassiron lighthouse either.
We were welcomed by Pascal's brother, very pleasant and accommodating, who showed us the site.
We recommend you this site ;)

  • We were welcomed by Pascal's parents, very welcoming people who gave us great information about the island and the places we should visit. The site is large (we arrived in a caravan) easy to maneuver, quiet and accessible. We will come back again.

  • Land well located, sea and village Thank you for the availability and the very pleasant reception of Pascal! Advice and help for the installation.

  • We were welcomed by the owners, very nice and who took the time to explain us the history of their land.
This one is well placed, quiet and adapted for a simple bivouac.
We will come back if we feel like it.
    Thank you

  • Very good place, the space is top for camping, quiet and close to the beach and the beautiful lighthouse of Chassiron, at night we can hear the noise of the ocean, we enjoyed this stay, the owners are very nice and welcoming

  • Good location for a stay on the island. The land corresponds to its description in the ad. A sunny and a shady part. Lots of space to camp without being on top of each other like in a campsite.

  • Pascal's place is perfect for a stay in the nature, while being close to St Denis. Plenty of space, and Pascal was very welcoming. Ps: our son loved the photo of the hollyhocks he brought back as a souvenir from the island ????

  • Pascal is a very welcoming host. We had a good stay in a van on his land, which offers both natural shade thanks to the trees, or sunny areas. The small road is busy during the day, but very quiet at night. Thank you Pascal for this great experience on the Ile d'Oléron !
