Description

Rennes les Bains has a history stretching back to pre-Roman times.
You are also in the heart of Cathar Country. We are also around 1.5 hrs drive from the the beautiful Mediterranean beaches 1 hour from the nearest Ski resort and 2 hrs from Spain.
We also have 5 low cost flight airports within 2 hours, the nearest is Carcassonne just 45 mins away.

The setting

You will be just a 10 minute stroll from the center of the village.
The terrace has a wood on one side and otherwise surrounded by a grass field.
There is no traffic to speak about and you are surrounded by greenery.
There is the river below and virtually no traffic noise.

The spots

Our 60 year old trailer is in 99% original condition.
We provide all bedding and towels and it is ideal for singles, couples or a family with 2 children.
There is a twin bedded room at the rear of the trailer, which can be closed off by a folding door and an extra long queen sized double at the front.

The sanitary facilities

There is flushing toilet and washbasin in the trailer along with a second toilet and shower in the chalet. Running hot and cold water throughout.

The amenities

There are in effect 2 kitchens with everything you need. Cookers, ovens, kettle, toaster, 2 fridges and a microwave as well as all pots, pans, cutlery, and crockery.
There is reasonably fast wifi and ethernet internet and both 220v and 110v electricity in both the trailer and services chalet.
A BBQ is available and there is also a ping-pong table.
There are some basics in the cupboards....

The activities

The village is just a 10 minutes walk and has a shop, bakery, 4 restaurants and a bar.
The area is criss-crossed by footpaths and tracks so is ideal for walking or mountain biking with white water rafting and canoeing just 20 mins away.
The Cathar castles are all around with the closest just 10 mins down the road.
There is a Dinosaur Museum 15 mins drive and the famous Cite of Carcassonne is around 1 hour.

There is no smoking in either the trailer or chalet.
We ask you to respect the environment, keep the kids under control and 10pm to 6am should be a quiet time.
