Hikes, easy walks and strolls: There are more than 4000 kilometres of hiking paths and trails crossing Mont Ventoux to the Luberon Hills. You will come across typical stone villages, with an inviting cool stream, or red ochre hills surrounded by ancient cypress trees, which characterise the region, and fertile plains perfumed with the scents of Provence.

Hiking on a donkeys back. Donkeys will guide you along the trails and paths in Provence, redolent of thyme and rosemary. Take your trail map, your picnic, and let yourself be guided by a gentle donkey. Go to www. (website hidden) for four people who are offering this simplistic pleasure.

Horse riding: For experienced riders who want to ride through the countryside on their own there are immense possibilities on a wide network of marked trails.

The activities

Located in the well-known scenic village of Bedoin, Provence. Beautiful views of Mont Ventoux, house is very private with over 5000 m2 of land with private gate and enclosed, and surrounded by famous vineyards like Chateau-Neuf du Pape. Really close to village (2 minute walk for shopping) yet charming and secluded sitting on close to an acre of land with breathtaking views. Quiet.

Fully equipped kitchen. House is comfortable and rustic. This is a very relaxing home. We kept it simple yet elegant and functional. Unique little nooks around the place. This is NOT a model home.

A perfect place to unwind, relax and enjoy life and reconnect with yourself. The house definitely has an atmosphere of calm and welcome. A good motto: come to be yourself and use it as your own home.

Walking distance to shopping. Great hiking and biking trails. Sightseeing and well-known fine restaurants. 35 minutes from Avignon TGV.

You can walk to the village in a couple minutes to go shopping and lots of really good restaurants in the village itself. All walking distance through communal path or small road.

Bedoin has the largest mountain in the region. The famous Mont Ventoux where the Tour de France goes I'm not sure every year but it's a dreamland for cycling and nature lovers.

Yes the house has lots of charm and completely private and secluded yet short walking distance to village. It's a key point as older couples feel secure and safe not being lost in the middle of nowhere. Though we get that some people love that :)

House has a GREAT fireplace. Kitchen has state of the art German appliances with dishwasher as well. Microwave. Internet and phone available if requested. Kitchen fully equipped. Glasses, plates, silverware, Summer trays and glasses.

There are 4 terraces all together. Lots of sunshine in the morning across the whole downstairs and same in the evening on the other side which is dining room and living room side. I'll provide pictures. There's a stereo. TV. I'm planning to install a plasma TV in mezzanine's salon.

I redid the façade last year. White. I also have a couple plans for the property which stretches under an acre and has beautiful rock cliffs along it, all (email hidden)You can hike all the way to the top and watch all around the village, Mont Ventoux and the country side. It's pretty stunning.

Walls are very thick (60 cm+) (24 inches) so house keeps cool in the Summer. More if you keep shutters almost closed. Bedoin has the best Monday food and crafts market in the region.

There are so many vineyards close by. Lakes and water holes. The ocean is about 1 hour away by car. We're 2 and a half hours from St. Tropez, Cannes and Nice or Italy a little further by freeway. (10 minutes).

Bedoin has the largest mountain in the region. The famous Mont Ventoux, Vaucluse is a cyclist’s paradise. No doubt about it, cycling through the Vaucluse is one of the very best ways to enjoy the contrasting landscapes, the winding country roads, and feel the life and beauty here. Mountain-biking trails abound in the hills and mountains in Vaucluse. Discover all the circuits: for exploring the Côtes du Rhône vineyards, the lavender fields and highlands in the Sault area, the range of hills known as the Dentelles de Montmirail, the Roman presence in Vaison-la-Romaine, the beautiful hilltop villages in the Luberon, the Sorgues area, the Nesque river canyons, …

Mount Ventoux is legendary as one of the most grueling climbs in the Tour de France. It is here that legendary British cyclist Tom Simpson collapsed and died from a lethal cocktail of amphetamines. It is also the one stage Lance Armstrong really wanted to win but never did. The mountain is the biggest in Provence.

There are so many vineyards close by. Lakes and water holes. The vineyards of the Vaucluse produce some prestigious wines, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas, Vacqueryas, Beaumes de Venise. While most of the wines are red, there are also some white wines, and sweet wines such as Rasteau and Beaume de Venise, which goes well with foie-gras or as an aperitif.

The rest are divided into three appellations, Cotes du Rhone, Cote du Ventoux, and Cote du Luberon. The vineyards are spread across a wide range of terroirs, in different soils, and on different facing slopes, producing rich and varied wines with an enormous profusion of aromas and bouquets.

It is thought that wine production dates back as far as the Greek founding of Massilia (now Marseilles) in 600 BC. Although Rome tried to curtail the production of wine here so as to favour exports of Italian goods throughout the empire, soldiers retiring from the legions undermined them by privately continuing to grow grapes in “provincia nostra”

The produce in the area is out of this world. Organic growers galore!

Owner very nice location under the oaks with a small shaded terrace at our disposal the dream. Ideally located at 5mn of the village and in the peace. We were able to practice VTT, Vélo de route and a beautiful pedestrian excursion. I recommend........................
