Excellent-
Used to the campsite, we had a very nice stay on this site, a real "bubble" of greenery and ideal to discover the Gulf of Oroseï.

We happened to be in a small oasis of beauty in the countryside near the beautiful sea of Orrì. It 's the ideal destination for those who love the experience of camping with the advantage of having a total and free disposition of a large land with trees and cool, comfortable and nice facilities to sleep and everything you need to ensure that the vacation by Franca and Jean Luc is comfortable and peaceful. The owners were welcoming and friendly and willing to give us all the information to visit the area. Tortoli is 5 minutes by car and offers everything. Our vacation was short because we had to continue our journey. But we are sure we will return with our grandchildren.

To say or not to say, when we have shortened our stay by half and we have been correctly compensated... A place not ready to receive us: dirty, moldy caravan beds; dirty dishes; unkempt sanitary facilities; partially uncultivated land; unplanned (and unwanted) presence of a gardener to whom we had to forbid the passage of the brush cutter as early as 10 o'clock in the morning - difficult to sleep at night: too much noise: sound system of the nearby restaurant until late in the night (between 2 and 5 a.m. ), agricultural activities when it is coolest, late in the evening (10 p.m.) or early in the morning (6 a.m.), barking of the neighborhood dogs relayed by the crowing of numerous roosters. And although the lemons were excellent and the exchanges with Franca and Jean-Luc Madinier were cordial, the lived reality was not in conformity with the offer as described. This led to an early departure and the search for another possible accommodation for the continuation of our stay in Sardinia.

Our stay could have been more pleasant. We are not in the habit of judging or criticizing but we feel it is important to give our feelings, our exchanges with Franca and Jean Luc have always been very cordial, what a disappointment when we discovered the little corner of paradise .... we are first forced to note that the toilets and kitchen are dirty, the shelves are full of dust, dead flies and cobwebs, the curtains that protect the door frames are dirty and dusty ...... The children had to sleep in a trailer which is a caravan, but the mattresses are from the period and are dirty and stained, smelling of musty stuff and flies ..... Our room was no better, with dirty curtains, stained bed sheets and pillows, and a dusty floor, so we started our stay by cleaning up. The garden was nice and so were the donkeys next door. It is important to know that Tortelli is not a village but a town and that the grounds are only 3 km away, the environment is quite noisy, especially in the evening, and as agreed with Franca we tidied up the place but did not do the initial cleaning. We did not finish our stay until the end we felt uncomfortable.

We have just spent 3 weeks in Franca and Jean-Luc's cabin with our 3 sons. These vacations will remain a very good moment of our family life. Discovering a part of Sardinia (with 3 weeks of full sun) nestled in a cool and shady cocoon was fabulous. Picking lemons, grapes, pears or figs on your vacation spot is not a common occurrence.
The grounds are large enough to accommodate children and parents.
The proximity of the beach makes it possible to go there on foot and moreover, Tortoli was a good starting point to discover beaches and sumptuous points of view.
Shops and animations are numerous even if you have to take your car to reach them (guarantee of calm for this really quiet rental).
Finally, the nature lovers, naturalness and simplicity that we are, were delighted by the fauna and flora; the sheep and the donkeys; the local fruit and vegetable sellers or the kindness of the Sardinians who are smiling even in front of visitors who do not speak Italian.
Finally, a word about our hosts. Franca and Jean-Luc were welcoming and gave us good advice to start our stay. We had received a documentation made by them to prepare our stay.
We recommend this gite for all nature and calm lovers.
