Description

The village is 7 kilometers away by car or 30 minutes on foot by the path.
You will find all the conveniences: shops, bank, post office, station...
The access is a bit complicated, you have to be a bit adventurous: 6 kilometers of unpaved track accessible to all vehicles from the village and 1 kilometer of steep track to get to the house.
For the last part, it is better to have a high car or a small 4*4.
Otherwise, we propose to transport you for your material at the arrival and at the departure. (if we are available)

The setting

Unobstructed view on the mountain.
Two hectares of land, on flat grassy terraces surrounded by Scots pine. Quiet, no houses on the horizon.
Birds, roe deer and stags if discretion...

The spots

The Sibley 500 PRO is a cotton canvas tent with a fully waterproof bottom sheet.
It provides optimal comfort while still looking like a teepee.
Through its large door, you will have all the leisure to admire the landscape on the mountains.
In this ad, you can rent the empty tent and come with your camping equipment (mattress, comforter...).
This option is ideal for groups of hikers.
The sibley 500 PRO tent can accommodate up to 10-12 people, not afraid of crowding.
If needed, we can also lend you some equipment.

The sanitary facilities

Outside, we do not yet have real sanitary facilities.
We are working on it.
For the moment, there is a cold water supply that heats up with the sun in the pipe during the day.
We have bags of solar showers to lend.
A dry toilet outside.
For more comfort, we suggest you to use our bathroom which is very beautiful...

The amenities

A kitchen hut is available with a gas hob and some cooking utensils.
The basic elements can be provided if necessary.
Gas lamps are also available.
A small supplement will be asked for these services.
A large wooden table is set up outside.
There is no electricity on the property but you can use an outlet in the house if needed.
We have an internet connection by parabola in the house, you will be able to use it but with moderation because we are limited.
If needed, you can also use the washing machine in the house with a financial contribution.

The activities

On the spot, you can rest in the shade of a pine tree, comfortably installed in a hammock, watch your children jump on the trampoline, help in the vegetable garden if you wish or of course take a walk that will take you to the Tende pass at the Italian border.
Frédéric can take you on a hike for an in-depth visit of the Vallée des Merveilles.
The Merveilles museum is free.
And you can do canyoning, rafting, climbing, via ferrata, accrobranche, fishing, cool off in a river or in the village swimming pool. We will advise you for all these activities.

We love and respect our little piece of paradise and hope you will be charmed by it too.
However, we ask you to be careful with the fire during the big droughts.

On request, we can offer you a breakfast including tea, coffee, milk, fruit juice with toast accompanied by butter, jams and honeys of the house or local. And if we have the time, small home-made surprises.
