In the middle of a hill, on a plateau overlooking the Caramy gorges, the Jas de Bounaou is an 18th century sheepfold classified as a heritage site and currently being restored. With an olive grove, facing south, the site offers a very nice view on the mountain of La Loube and the starry nights are worth the detour!
Here, while we have internet, we are in energy autonomy only on photovoltaic.
It is very important that the future campers/gampeurs know what to expect when they book (to avoid any disappointment!): Here, it is really to get away from it all, to cut oneself off from the world, it does not exclude conviviality, nor pleasure, but it is really a trip "into the wild"!
Access by a rocky path and requiring a 4x4 or elevated vehicle!
In the heart of the 84,000 hectares of the Sainte Baume regional park, with nearly 4 kilometers of trails in the middle of the forest, you will have the impression of having left civilization behind, to immerse yourself in nature.
The river below my property will guarantee you cool baths which will contrast advantageously with the often torrid heat of the Var summer. A GR (long-distance footpath) passes near the property and allows you to go on beautiful hikes.
The property is more than 6 hectares and the favorite place is the olive grove which benefits from a beautiful view, but other places, more distant from the bastide can be considered.
Riders and their horses are welcome (under certain conditions to be worked out together and in particular presentation before reservation of the up to date vaccinations) and very beautiful excursions (a GR borders the field) as well as the bathes with horse in the river are one of the assets of this site in addition to its calm and its authenticity worthy of Pagnol.
The sanitary facilities
Dry toilets and solar showers are available.
Internet in wifi.
Possibility to use the kitchen of the country house.
Possibility to have electricity by extension cord.
Parks for horses (in project and especially according to the demand)
Very beautiful region, river nearby, located halfway between Aix-en-Provence and Marseille.
The purpose of proposing my domain as a gamping site is to share this magnificent site and the perpetual wonder that it offers. It is very important that the future gampeurs know what to expect when they book (to avoid any disappointment!). Here, it's really to get away from it all, to cut yourself off from the world, it doesn't exclude conviviality or pleasure, but it's really a trip "into the wild"! The access really requires a vehicle style 4x4. If possible, book at least 48 hours in advance. Dogs are not accepted, I'm sorry but it is incompatible with my two guard dogs. There are also 4 cats, 1 world famous dwarf goat (who is convinced he is a dog) and two horses and a pony.
Possibility of breakfast (€10 / person)
Tea / coffee / fruit juice / bread / brioche
Exact location information is provided after a booking is confirmed.
