Description

Spend a weekend or more in the grounds of an 18th-century château. And recharge your batteries in the peace and quiet of the countryside...

The setting

Le Parc combines peace and quiet. It's in the countryside, close to Dijon and the great Burgundy wines.

The spots

The plot is flat and shady. It's also very easy to get to.

The sanitary facilities

The park has dry toilets, as comfortable and simple as for scouts.

The activities

The commune of Bretenière is close to the Morvan regional nature park and also boasts a château dating from the 2nd half of the 18th century and the 1st half of the 19th century. Two activities well worth a visit...

  • Very beautiful castle, rich region, the hosts crossed from time to time are courteous. It's a pity that in such a space, the home camping place is so small and badly located, close to a very busy road. I agree with several of the criticisms published previously ..... The location is not very good, the toilet is not very good, there is a lot of noise, ..... The price is not justified ....... With time, the context will perhaps evolve positively...

  • Hello,
I didn't want to leave any comments, but since you asked...the place is charming, I can't judge the reception because I only met a very polite gentleman who asked me not to park my van on the lawn because I was going to damage it, so to stay in the alleys. We had a view on the castle, but at the back a very busy road from 6am, nothing to say we had planned to get up early. As for the service, nothing to say either, we were warned, a dry toilet at the bottom of the garden like in the song, and a cold water tap on the wall of the castle. As for the price, no surprise 'on plus it's the advertised price, abnormally high price without any relation with the service, it's a little bit our fault we had just spent 2 nights in municipal with pool and electricity for 14€.
It was also our first experience with home camper, I have a doubt about our loyalty.
    Good continuation

  • Hello,
Since you are asking us how our stay with Ines went, I would like to inform you that we did not see her. Her husband received us warmly. He invited us to take advantage of the lawn, which we did immediately by installing our small caravan. The dry toilets we were warned no pb but the fact that there is a huge day because the door does not close, no. As for the tap along the wall of the castle it is too low to fill a jerry can...but what we did not appreciate at all was that our host complained to our friends, who arrived the next day, that we had settled in his lawn when he had told us not to! Besides, we don't see where we can settle down if it's not in the alleys or the lawns! It's quite noisy in the morning because of the proximity of a very busy road, and the entrance of the domain is narrow. The asking price is not justified, even if the setting is beautiful. We left without seeing any of our guests on the morning of the third day.

  • Generous and warm welcome, a very pleasant place in the middle of the animals. The children loved it and still talk about it :-)

  • Magnificent setting, guaranteed relaxation, charming hosts.... To test with closed eyes

  • Inès is such a nice and welcoming person! She is very helpfull and speaks good english.
She helped us with finding a testlocation for covid for our daughter and showed us the beautiful castle, of which she told us a lot.
The kids played in the garden and loved feeding the chickens.
A place to remember and I really can recommend this place.

  • Beautiful place to spend the night, very good welcome and good advice to visit the surroundings from our host!

  • What a great place to spend the night! We were with the camper on the way home, Inès welcomed us with OPEN arms! Very beautiful grounds, super nice, very enthusiastic hostess and on top of this we got a nice tour of the castle, including the family history! The breakfast was also TOP, with homemade jam, cake, crumble honey ... If we are back in the area, we will definitely come back!

  • Incredible place, beautiful garden ! Love it!

  • A magnificent property to visit while walking. The animals will delight the little ones. The hosts are of infinite kindness. Thank you for your welcome.

  • We were wonderfully welcomed by the Chatelain despite our late hour.

The place full of history told by the passionate descendant is a plus.

Everything leads us to a change of scenery: the architecture, the magnificently restored secondary buildings and the encounters with the animals: horses of all breeds, cats, hens and roosters, ganders, ducks and a peacock coupled with these panels.

For the sanitary facilities: very clean, welcoming dry toilet and accessible water point. However and without wanting to offend, a water point out of sight would be a plus.

To come to the breakfast, a treat for the eyes with all this crockery a historical point and a happiness for the papillae thanks to the chatelaine.

A small proposal for future glampers in tent only. Why not a small place on the back of the castle in one of the pastures to be even better impregnated places!

I let you discover this marvellous place which will certainly be the preferred point of fall of our return of next vacations.

    Thank you

    Anne M.

  • Very warm welcome. Space under a beautiful tree in the park. Water point and dry toilet at 50m. Thank you Ines.

  • Super setting a marvel.
We spent an evening surrounded by the animals in a quiet place. Very well slept. Very warm hosts. And the extraordinary breakfast.
    To recommend.

  • Wonderful space with great hosts ;)

  • We arrived at the Château and were warmly greeted by the geese, followed very swiftly, by Ines and her son. We were shown our pitch for the night and then Ines took my wife around the grounds to point out water point, toilet and then gave us some history of the Château, which was very interesting. The only draw back was the lack of electricity and a shower. However, this was all clearly stated in the details and we were prepared for it. There is a large shop with fuel station less than 500m away which was handy. We throughly enjoyed our stay and will be back next year. Ps, they have horses and one of the mares had a 4 week old foal, which was very sweet.

  • Very nice hosts, charm of the old castle, ideal terrain for the tent. The maintenance like this and like that, e.g. the water point was not very welcoming. For those who like silence, the highway can be heard.

  • As soon as you enter the gate, you feel that you are entering a place full of history that Ines will be happy to tell you about.
Nice and too short stay .

  • The place is enchanting and both Ines and her family lovely and very helpful. Highly recommended!

  • Ines welcomed us admirably in her home full of charm and tranquility.

I highly recommend to gampers to come and stay in this magnificent setting where Ines and all her family are adorable.

    The breakfast was also excellent

  • Ines and her husband welcomed us wonderfully! Their house and garden are beautiful and they are very available for their guests. We had a great time at breakfast, which was delicious (homemade jams and cakes, pastries...). I highly recommend you not to miss this great place!

  • very nice welcome from Ines in her family's garden!
