Description

We welcome you to our farm, located in the center of Galicia, on the EuroVelo route (bicycle route) of the Camino de Santiago.

It is a beautiful and quiet place, where you can see the cows grazing and listen to the birds in the orchard. The farm is surrounded by forests, streams and amazing paths.

Our farm is located on the outskirts of Melide, a bustling rural village with lots of bars and restaurants where you can taste typical Galician products and buy local handicrafts.

We use solar energy (electricity and hot water) and have a vegetable garden full of organic produce. If you also like the local history and value the cultural and natural heritage, you will feel right at home.

The setting

The site is small and is designed for a family or a small group.

You will be able to camp in the garden, with grassy ground and surrounded by flowers and bushes. We have a sunny and a shady area, under the large walnut and chestnut trees. There is also a covered area, and kitchen and bathroom independent from the house, with all the message to make your trip easier.

The spots

Granja a 3 kms de Melide, una villa llena de restaurantes, pulperías y comercio local. En 40 minutos llegarás á Santiago o a Lugo; y en 1 hora estarás en A Coruña, Orense o Pontevedra y en las playas más cercanas.

Our farm is located in a small rural village. It is a very nice and quite place, where you can listen how caws are grazing during summer nights and hear the birds all around the year. There are lots of forests around where you can pick mushrooms or seasonal berries. Melide is a nearby little town where you can find the best "pulperías", restaurants, and other local shops.

The sanitary facilities

Agua caliente solar en la cocina y baño. Si necesitas lavadora o congelador, podrás utilizar el de la vivienda.

There is a bathroom with sink, toilet and a shower for guests to use 24hrs. There is constant hot water and soap. There is also a kitchen with five hobs, a large table, an inside bbq, cuttlery, pots, plates, glasses and mugs for guests to use at their convenience.

The amenities

Como puedes ver en las fotos, hay hamacas, barbacoa y zona cuberta exterior con mesa y sillas. Además hay una cocina y un baño independientes de la vivienda. La cocina está provista de utensilios (platos, cacerolas, tazas, etc).

Podrás probar nuestra leche y productos de temporada de la huerta gratis.

As you can see in the pictures, there are loungers, bbq and a covered exterior area that you can use at your convenience. The guests will have 24hr access to a detached kitchen and bathroom area, equipped with everything that you need, like pans, cuttlery, soap or shampoo. There is also coffee, tea and sugar. Sometimes we can also provide milk from our cows and other seasonal vegetables.

The activities

Participar nas actividades da granxa, rutas de sendeirismo, deportes náuticos no embalse de Portodemouros, coñecer o románico da Galicia central ou visitar as principais cidades galegas (a menos dunha hora) son algunhas das nosas propostas.

You are welcome to join us during our daily farm activities or you can enjoy lovely walk in the countriside. Nearby there is a reservoir where you participate in different water sports, and there are two public swimming pools and river beaches only a few kilometers from the farm. You can also visit the main historical towns, like Lugo, Santiago, Pontevedra or Ourense, which are only one hour drive.
