Description

The calm of the woods, the canal, the countryside are just a few steps from the house as well as the castle and the medieval church which attracts many connoisseurs every year.

The setting

We are a few kilometers from the center of Aubigny (castle of the Stuarts, small medieval city of character with French-Scottish festivals in July and its summer animations + producers' market) in a detached house.
Separate access to the land.

Important conditions: love animals! Because in these places live a family with 1 dog and some cats!
The ground is not very big but can accommodate several small tents,
there is a covered shelter in case of rain,
a terrace with garden furniture available
the ground has a toilet access and a drinking water tap outside.

You can park next to the house, there is a small parking lot and a large parking (email hidden)There is a possibility to have access to the kitchen and the bathroom (shared with us, be careful with the hot water^^) at noon and at the end of the afternoon / evening.

The spots

1 tent pitch and/or 1 indoor accommodation (attention only a mattress, if more than 2 people bring your own mattresses, and we do not provide sheets etc)

The sanitary facilities

Interior to share.

The amenities

Kitchen, wc, bathroom, ... Wifi access...

Attention all this is to be shared with us and our children... so the maniacs of the arrangement will not be at ease!

Small appreciable thing for us: In this house we do not cook meat inside (thank you for respecting this choice).

The activities

Cycling, walks, etc., all details below:

We can lend 1 or 2 mountain bikes (to see)

Immediate access on foot :

10m from the canal walks (coypu, herons, wild geese, frogs and other fauna that are protected there with our friends the ducks) and the walking tracks (small park for children at the beginning of the track and eiffel bridge in the middle of the track, monument of the former euro center,)
at 50m: fields with cows
at 300 meters : castle of the scents, splendid castle to be visited (and in more there is not too much world)
at 100 meters : Old wash-house,
200 meters away : Atypical bell tower of the 14th century....
at 250 meters : grocery and bakery
at 900 meters : tennis courts in free access

10km away : horse riding, the castle of la verrerie, the museum of witchcraft,
and especially the pond of the then (with nautical base, tobbogans, canoe, games on water, pedal boat, restoration...) very very beautiful pond, very appreciated...

A few kilometers away (20km) : ULM, the Loire, the Loire by bike, Briare, its famous canal bridge, its canals, its boat trips, the museum of the navy, the enamels of Briare and the museum of the enamels, Gien, its old bridge, its castle and its famous faience factory.

At 40/50km : the castle of Guedelon, medieval castle under construction with workshops of reconstitution of the construction work of the time. The lake of Bourdon. Castle of the Loire: that of Sully sur Loire at 45km is very beautiful! You can visit it all year long.

Aubigny is a pretty small French-Scottish city with atypical architecture, walking in the city is also very pleasant.
The market is held on Saturday morning.
Every year on the weekend of July 14, the great Franco-Scottish festival is held, which takes us back to medieval times (free entry, with various stands), it is a very large festival that lasts for three or four days.

On the last Saturday of July, 40 kilometers away, Rogny les 7 Ecluses (a charming village with its famous staircase locks, a must-see at least once) holds one of the biggest fireworks displays in Europe (15,000 people on average attend and come from all over the world to see it).

Important: You can order your organic products before your stay (local seasonal fruit and vegetable basket for example) and receive them the day of your arrival or the day after.

Other things

The calm of the woods, the canal, the countryside are really only a few steps away from the house.

Our beautiful region has everything:

- The water activities with the pond of Puys (restoration on the spot, ice creams etc) and the activities beach of the Loire...
- The nature and its calm, the hikes, the Loire by bike etc.
- The boat trips
- The "berrichone" gastronomy
- Monuments : canal bridge, Loire castles (not the most famous ones but they are much more pleasant to visit), Eiffel bridge, the 7 locks, Guédelon, medieval city etc
- The museums

We like animals but you can't come with our dog because he is associable with his species...

BIG PLUS :

1/Possibility to have organic baskets delivered on the spot (I manage an organic store and my husband is a fireman/energeticist in case of a little boo-boo^^)

2/We know well the people who manage the ballads in old boats on the Loire as well as the organizers of ballads to discover, recognize, learn to cook and taste the wild plants.

(We left the grass high in the field for information but it does not disturb).

Rules

If you need to use the bathroom, do not stay too long and do it preferably in the late afternoon.
No smoking inside. No "meat" inside.
Pet friendly: there is a dog (very docile and cute) and a few cats that have taken up residence with us.

Extras

Possibility of breakfast (€8 / person)

No breakfast included: I cook like a potato^^
On the other hand, you can ask me to deliver an organic basket with everything you need!
Without any preparation from me in particular but with the products at your disposal (only organic): 8 euros for breakfast.
