Description

Large garden of more than 2 hectares.
We have a beautiful view.
There is an independent entrance, space and tranquility.

Water (sink), electricity and fridge are available at the house (150m away). Dry toilets are available. There is no shower however.
Shelter possible in the cellar or in a bicycle room for precious objects.
You can enjoy homemade pizzas at 100m on Friday evening, fresh vegetables at 100m every day.

I make reservations as they come in (too many projects that don't work out). I don't want live reservations.

The setting

We are in the mountain still civilized.
There is no trade.
We are located at the edge of a hamlet of a village which counts 4.
We are on an old campsite from the 80's (there are no sanitary facilities anymore, only dry toilets).

The spots

The land is flat and easy to access.
The environment is just beautiful and quiet, it has a taste of paradise (for me at least).

The sanitary facilities

Nature and dry toilets are available.
There is no shower.
We just have a hose near the house but come with your solar shower and/or jerry cans.
Only the dry toilets are available and explained.

The amenities

There is no specific equipment except for the dry toilets. Being "good guys" by nature, we can help you out for various needs but this is not foreseen.
Electricity is available for an extra charge (we read the meter before and after) if you have a very very long extension cord and/or if you want to leave things around the house.

The activities

You can look at the tourist office in Embrun.
Many things in the valley are doable or you can enjoy the local market.
The checked activities are 5 to 20 km away. Only a jacuzzi (personal and small) is on site.
I can take you on a motorboat trip on the lake (buoy, wake, walk,...) or make it available to you.

Other things

The pizzas are homemade at 200m on Friday evening, as well as the fresh and organic vegetables (email hidden)We are in the High Alps.
ATTENTION : We do not want to see any campfire and even no fire other than gas or electronic.
Tent rental is possible with an extra charge for light travelers or weekend bikers for example.

Rules

We have two rules:
Come with a smile and keep it.
Leave me with a positive memory of you and make sure you leave with a positive memory of the place and of me.

Tent 3/6 places in supplement at 5/10 € the night

  • Already arrived in the Camargue, we can say with more certainty that the site offered by Isabelle and Jean is superb in every sense. A very warm welcome by Jean offered us all the necessary information to spend days in the middle of nature surrounded by the
mountains. There is water and electricity (for a small additional fee) and a dry toilet with the best view in the world!
A hidden treasure in the mountains.

  • Excellent stay in a beautiful setting. Very large shaded area with space for everyone. Very sympathetic reception of Jean

  • Thank you for your comment about us. We were delighted to be welcomed on your land, in the calm, in the shade, in a splendid setting! Thank you for the associated services (hot water, plugs, fridge, dry toilets).

  • We spent two months again this year with our host. Two months far from the noise, from the agitation, in the middle of nature... the dream! Perfect welcome, humor, good mood...host at the top, as the previous year. Thanks again to you Jean, we look forward to next year!

  • A beautiful space full of air and a sense of freedom. It was perfect with two small children, who were able to play and run around without any danger.

  • Jean's field is worth the detour, Jean too.
Welcoming, with original projects in his head, Jean will make you want to come back.
We had a very pleasant stay, in a magnificent setting.
We are already thinking about our next stay.

  • Happiness is in the meadow at Jean's for those who appreciate nature, simplicity and a magnificent view of the aiguilles de Chambrières.
Jean and Isabelle are charming and benevolent hosts who will not fail to come and advise you, to help you in your adventure!

  • A very pleasant night and a great welcome and advice for hiking. Jean is really available, don't hesitate, Jean's is the right address.

  • We only spent one night. Jean welcomed us and there is a nice space.

  • Absolutely perfect stay. Jean is extremely friendly and welcoming, his field is magnificent. We would have liked to stay longer because we had such a pleasant stay.

  • A peaceful and quiet place. Great for large campers. Rustic dry toilets.
Jean is a very pleasant host. I recommend him

  • Very nice and quiet place. Dry toilets available. Simple ! Other services not used.

  • We spent a pleasant week in a quiet and idyllic setting. Jean knew how to welcome us as it should be and prepared us a great corner in his land in the shade of the trees. We recommend you this magnificent site.

  • Enchanting setting but there is a downside to our experience in terms of infrastructure.
The dry toilet is an excellent idea, but it needs privacy and more cleanliness! ????
There is no privacy to wash up at the only sink provided also for the dishes! ????
On the other hand, the setting and the environment are exceptional????

  • Large plot at the bottom of the garden, in the heart of a small village.
    Very good reception.

  • Jean was very available for any questions, advice and requests. Very nice setting, and the presence of other gampers is hardly noticeable.
It was a very nice experience that I recommend!

  • A very pleasant stay in terms of site and location. A very nice contact with Jean.
Sanitary conditions and amenities (access to water, dry toilets) are good but can be improved.

  • Great place!
    Very spacious !
And ideally located between mountain hiking, Embrun, and the lake of Serre Ponçon.
Jean and the family, so nice !
Also, Jean had put a fridge/freezer at our disposal.
    Very practical!
    Don't waste time, go there....

  • More than a month and a half spent at Jean's place this summer. Charming, respectful, friendly host. Incredible place for lovers of calm and nature. Disconnection guaranteed! We'll be back!

  • Our stay at Jean's was perfect!
Our location was very nice, with a nice view. Jean was very welcoming and warm, while remaining very discreet. The kids loved the little "homemade" adventure course and the freedom to roam everywhere in complete safety. The area is really beautiful.
    An address to remember!

  • Excellent first gamping experience! A very welcoming host despite a very late reservation. The setting is beautiful with the surrounding mountains and the magnificent lake below. The land is large and allows everyone to have their own little space without disturbing the others. In short, we were charmed!

  • What a magnificent place!!! and especially what a welcome!!!.
We were welcomed by Jean and his children in a magnificent setting in the middle of nature. With a view on the lake.
Jean is a perfect host, knowing well his region and all the activities to practice there; He knows how to be discreet and at the same time considerate.
There is plenty of space, conveniences (water and dry toilets) and a lot of choice on where to pitch your tent.
Thank you Jean for a great vacation!
    See you soon.
