Situation
  • It's not really a farm. Jean Claude isn't a farmer, he's a contractor with several earth-moving machines.
A dozen or so insistent cats, chickens, a goat and a sheep roam freely on the land; watch out for the food!
There are 2 Highland cows in a meadow, but it's not a farm.

  • A safari within everyone's budget. Children will be amazed to see a horse tilting its head through the tent opening when they wake up in the morning, then later join in the breakfast. Excitement to find chickens in the tent. Mistrust of the unpredictable billy goat. The magic of the stage.

  • A total change of scenery! Magnificent location, great site, water, electricity, sanitary facilities all top-notch. Jean Claude takes great care of everything. The animals are all around you, the foal is magical. 4x4 and horseback riding available if required. The only drawback is pitching the tent between the crotin in a few places and the presence of the cats, who seem hungry unlike the other animals and a little too insistent...

  • Well-positioned campsite near the beautiful town of st jean pieds de port. The children were delighted with all the animals.

  • Super stay at Jean-Claude's, a timeless moment close to nature and animals. Many thanks to Jean-Claude and the woofers for their welcome and kindness. I'll be back very soon with great pleasure. And I recommend it to all nature lovers ☺️

  • Everything you need for a pleasant stay.
I only stayed one night, but it was great and Jean Claude is very nice.

  • Thank you for making this unusual place available, where all kinds of animals roam freely. It was a great experience! We recommend ????

  • Atypical setting, on a large farm, surrounded by animals, very pleasant.
Jean-Claude was very welcoming. Go there with your eyes closed!

  • Great stay at Jean-Claude's. Large camping area, grill, fridge provided. The sanitary facilities are top-notch! He makes you love the free-roaming animals around the meal and the tent. All in all, a great experience.

  • stay super nice!!! we sleep like babies, surrounded by horses ... everything is "à la bonne franquette" I love .... everything we were looking for!!! good continuation ....

  • Disappointing experience.
We wanted to use the Home Camper app to meet people, learn about different cultures, however we didn't see the hosts and couldn't interact with them ( we were greeted by someone who seemed to work on the site).

The toilets had an unpleasant smell, in general the housework didn't seem to be done regularly, shower hose leaking etc..

But thanks to another family who were at the camp at the same time as us, we had a great time, and it's nice to be surrounded by different farm animals (although we were bothered at mealtimes by 5 cats who seemed to be wandering around and were hungry, so they bit into our food).

  • Thank you for hosting us these last few days

  • Great place to spend a night at the Farm

  • The key to conviviality we did not find it, the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities either...

  • Everything was very good! We cohabited well with the chickens

  • Hello Jean Claude. Very nice week in the Basque country. Thank you for having welcomed us with our big family.

  • Unusual stay, it is necessary to appreciate the animals because they are everywhere ???? ... but that's the whole point of a farm!

  • It was a very nice overnight stay with Jean-Claude. Everyone was very friendly! The sanitary facilities are perfectly fine :) and who does not like to be woken up in the morning by horses snorting and hooves clattering? :) a great farm experience if you want a short break from the beach.

  • Spacious and very quiet place surrounded by animals if you want to be quiet it's at Jean Claude's place

  • NOTHING TO SAY EVERYTHING PERFECT I WILL RETURN

  • great stay, too short but great. We will come back. A big thank you to Jean-Claude for making us discover his mountain.

  • Nothing to say
Everything at your disposal in a pleasant setting!

  • I had just booked 4 nights in a roof tent with my 2 children...: we finally spent the whole week there...in the middle of the mountains, in the company of horses, roosters, cows, pigs, ewes, cats, dogs...But especially in the company of Jean-Claude and his woofers ????
We will come back, but not for long !!!

  • The facilities did not meet our needs. Above all, the sanitary facilities were in poor condition.

  • A great stay at Jean-Claude's a little too short. We had a great time Jean-Claude is a passionate, we did the 4x4 ride that I highly recommend he took us to 600m altitude to see his horses in pasture. A superb view not to be missed! In short, we will come back for sure

  • An exotic stay, in the calm, in the middle of the pottoks in freedom! The setting is rustic but all the essentials are there. I spent 3 nights there with my 2 children and we were delighted! We will return there

  • Very well welcomed by Jean-Claude very nice, we could also discuss with the team of woofer on the spot and have information on what there is to see in the surroundings. The pitches are correct, it's a farm camping, the ad is quite precise compared to the equipment, perfect for a short stay or a bivouac as a pilgrim :) I recommend !

  • Very good welcome at Jean Claude's place, the place is a bit unusual, but I spent two quiet evenings there.

  • Jean-Claude was welcoming and concerned about the well-being of his campers. Despite his many activities he remains available to give advice and to have a conversation with the people he hosts. The space is basic but sufficient. The location is really ideal to get lost in the villages and landscapes of the Basque country.

  • We came 4 days this week of August 15th, perfect stay surrounded by horses, all the conveniences are there, showers, toilets, washing machine, what to make has eat, it is certe not a hotel 5 stars but it is for that that we were there!
We will certainly come back on our next trip to the Basque country!
    Thank you Jean Claude !

  • This field is a great place to meet people. Both with Jean-Claude himself, but also with his woofers. On the other hand, Jean-Claude has good spots a few kilometers away to swim in the river.
    Thanks for this stay!

  • A place out of everything, Jules Vernes books, kittens, Scottish cows and a pig. If you want peace and quiet, come here.

  • Great evening, very nice host, very welcoming, I recommend

  • Good address, the view is nice especially when you get up with the horses
For 2 nights it is very good

  • Reservation and payment for two nights. We left the place after only one day. The cleanliness of the sanitary facilities was not up to our expectations.
In summary: the rusticity of the place does not excuse everything.

  • Discreet host, awakened by the horses.
    Pleasant space and beautiful meetings.

  • Great setting with animals, well equipped campsite. The host was friendly.
I stayed there for 3 nights.

  • Almost non-existent reception, feeling of being a simple complement of salary. One night because you are tired, but no more.
I was not the only one to see this feeling among the gamblers present.
    I will not come back.

  • Two nights spent on the spot, I did not feel welcomed, I arrived a little late but I just had the right to a "follow me, it is here you put yourself or you want, the toilets it is there...

Precisely the sanitary really not top, nothing for the crockery, just two small wash-hand basins of bathroom... me all not very clean.

I saw that it was going to eat downstairs, but not knowing if it was accessible to us we stayed in the tent.

I talked with another gamper who was in the same expectation as me.

Otherwise the setting is very good, we are in the countryside, we only hear the sounds of animals and it's a good point ????

So not expensive, beautiful place, but it lacks a little of communication to be in the gamping spirit.

  • A very good stay which allowed us to discover the life and the work on the farm, and to observe the animals. The calm and the space are also an asset! Well situated to visit St Jean Pied de Port, and to hike around Iraty.

  • Good reception

  • Very good welcome, we were looking for peace and quiet, and this is the case
Happy to know the region a little better thanks to our hosts.
    Thank you

  • Perfect for nature and animal lovers.
Jean Claude was very busy with his work. He had to pick up the hay.

  • A quiet and idyllic pitch with a view of the mountains. Super located to go hiking or visit the caves. We can only recommend. Thank you for the great stay!

  • An experience to relive quickly! Jean-Claude's welcome is warm, friendly and we felt a great family spirit.
An adventure that we could not have dreamed of better.
A magnificent setting, horses running free with us at the aperitif! The children were delighted.
    Thank you!

  • As a beginner in home camping, this is exactly the idea I had! Jean Claude is very welcoming and available. We feel immediately at ease, like at home! The landscapes are breathtaking and the presence of all these animals, dogs, pigs, horses, foals, chickens, cows ... makes this experience unforgettable!
    Perfect sanitary facilities.
    Washing machine if needed.
    I highly recommend this address.
    Thank you Jean-Claude.

  • quiet stay, beautiful view
    everything we wished for
    thank you

  • We had a great time at Jean-Claude's place. We were welcomed rather quickly considering the work Jean-Claude had to do with his woofers. To follow up on a previous comment, the ground to pitch the tent is full of rocks. Do not hesitate to take the hammer. Despite this, the experience was satisfying. We were able to share our meals with the woofers present and get to know them. It was great! We were able to chat with Jean-Claude when he had some free time. The location is only a few minutes away from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port. Too bad for us that it was raining. There is everything you need to cook. The bathroom+toilet area was clean. I recommend, without hesitation, to spend one or more nights at Jean-Claude's. Thank you for your help!

  • Jean-Claude's site is really nice. If you are looking for peace and quiet, it is perfect. If you like animals, it's even better :)
There were 2 very nice woofers.
In short, we recommend 1000 times

  • We spent a very good night on Jean-Claude's land, in good company with his horses, chickens and a very curious cat. It was a very nice experience, thank you ????
