  • A great stay at Jean-Claude's a little too short. We had a great time Jean-Claude is a passionate, we did the 4x4 ride that I highly recommend he took us to 600m altitude to see his horses in pasture. A superb view not to be missed! In short, we will come back for sure

  • An exotic stay, in the calm, in the middle of the pottoks in freedom! The setting is rustic but all the essentials are there. I spent 3 nights there with my 2 children and we were delighted! We will return there

  • Very well welcomed by Jean-Claude very nice, we could also discuss with the team of woofer on the spot and have information on what there is to see in the surroundings. The pitches are correct, it's a farm camping, the ad is quite precise compared to the equipment, perfect for a short stay or a bivouac as a pilgrim :) I recommend !

  • Very good welcome at Jean Claude's place, the place is a bit unusual, but I spent two quiet evenings there.

  • Jean-Claude was welcoming and concerned about the well-being of his campers. Despite his many activities he remains available to give advice and to have a conversation with the people he hosts. The space is basic but sufficient. The location is really ideal to get lost in the villages and landscapes of the Basque country.

  • We came 4 days this week of August 15th, perfect stay surrounded by horses, all the conveniences are there, showers, toilets, washing machine, what to make has eat, it is certe not a hotel 5 stars but it is for that that we were there!
We will certainly come back on our next trip to the Basque country!
    Thank you Jean Claude !

  • This field is a great place to meet people. Both with Jean-Claude himself, but also with his woofers. On the other hand, Jean-Claude has good spots a few kilometers away to swim in the river.
    Thanks for this stay!

  • A place out of everything, Jules Vernes books, kittens, Scottish cows and a pig. If you want peace and quiet, come here.

  • Great evening, very nice host, very welcoming, I recommend

  • Good address, the view is nice especially when you get up with the horses
For 2 nights it is very good

  • Reservation and payment for two nights. We left the place after only one day. The cleanliness of the sanitary facilities was not up to our expectations.
In summary: the rusticity of the place does not excuse everything.

  • Discreet host, awakened by the horses.
    Pleasant space and beautiful meetings.

  • Great setting with animals, well equipped campsite. The host was friendly.
I stayed there for 3 nights.

  • Almost non-existent reception, feeling of being a simple complement of salary. One night because you are tired, but no more.
I was not the only one to see this feeling among the gamblers present.
    I will not come back.

  • Two nights spent on the spot, I did not feel welcomed, I arrived a little late but I just had the right to a "follow me, it is here you put yourself or you want, the toilets it is there...

Precisely the sanitary really not top, nothing for the crockery, just two small wash-hand basins of bathroom... me all not very clean.

I saw that it was going to eat downstairs, but not knowing if it was accessible to us we stayed in the tent.

I talked with another gamper who was in the same expectation as me.

Otherwise the setting is very good, we are in the countryside, we only hear the sounds of animals and it's a good point ????

So not expensive, beautiful place, but it lacks a little of communication to be in the gamping spirit.

  • A very good stay which allowed us to discover the life and the work on the farm, and to observe the animals. The calm and the space are also an asset! Well situated to visit St Jean Pied de Port, and to hike around Iraty.

  • Good reception

  • Very good welcome, we were looking for peace and quiet, and this is the case
Happy to know the region a little better thanks to our hosts.
    Thank you

  • Perfect for nature and animal lovers.
Jean Claude was very busy with his work. He had to pick up the hay.

  • A quiet and idyllic pitch with a view of the mountains. Super located to go hiking or visit the caves. We can only recommend. Thank you for the great stay!

  • An experience to relive quickly! Jean-Claude's welcome is warm, friendly and we felt a great family spirit.
An adventure that we could not have dreamed of better.
A magnificent setting, horses running free with us at the aperitif! The children were delighted.
    Thank you!

  • As a beginner in home camping, this is exactly the idea I had! Jean Claude is very welcoming and available. We feel immediately at ease, like at home! The landscapes are breathtaking and the presence of all these animals, dogs, pigs, horses, foals, chickens, cows ... makes this experience unforgettable!
    Perfect sanitary facilities.
    Washing machine if needed.
    I highly recommend this address.
    Thank you Jean-Claude.

  • quiet stay, beautiful view
    everything we wished for
    thank you

  • We had a great time at Jean-Claude's place. We were welcomed rather quickly considering the work Jean-Claude had to do with his woofers. To follow up on a previous comment, the ground to pitch the tent is full of rocks. Do not hesitate to take the hammer. Despite this, the experience was satisfying. We were able to share our meals with the woofers present and get to know them. It was great! We were able to chat with Jean-Claude when he had some free time. The location is only a few minutes away from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port. Too bad for us that it was raining. There is everything you need to cook. The bathroom+toilet area was clean. I recommend, without hesitation, to spend one or more nights at Jean-Claude's. Thank you for your help!

  • Jean-Claude's site is really nice. If you are looking for peace and quiet, it is perfect. If you like animals, it's even better :)
There were 2 very nice woofers.
In short, we recommend 1000 times

  • We spent a very good night on Jean-Claude's land, in good company with his horses, chickens and a very curious cat. It was a very nice experience, thank you ????

  • Comment with delay.. Sorry!

The stay with Jean-Claude was perfect.
He is a very welcoming person, pleasant and who likes to share with people his advices, his good plans notably good places, good walks less touristy and with magnificent points of view!
We were only supposed to stay 3 nights and we finally stayed 5 nights because of the beautiful places to visit around!
This home camper offers a beautiful and pleasant setting as soon as you wake up and all the conveniences (barbecue, shower, WC... independent for the campers)
A great place to meet people and to enjoy nature!
    Thanks again ????
    The Bretons

  • It was really top, exactly what we were looking for on homecamper : a unique place, calm, ... We didn't stay long but we appreciated Jean Claude, good advice and welcoming.
Thanks a lot ! We hope to come back soon.

  • Thanks to Jean-Claude for his welcome and hospitality, excellent night with an alarm clock in front of the Horses ????

  • A big thank you for this peaceful night in the middle of animals (chickens, horses, cats, dog and goat)! The camping space is quite large and the access to a common room allows us to cook and to meet other travelers. Jean-Claude took the time to come and talk with us for some fascinating discussions! Thank you, we will be back !

  • Very nice setting in the mountains. Very nice meeting. Jean-Claude is very helpful and friendly. Perfect to recharge your batteries!

  • Very warm welcome and pleasant environment next to the animals.
The hygiene is not perfect (but it is also due to the other occupants) but everything is there (soap, pq) and it is very practical.
Departures of hikes from the site and proximity of St Jean Pied de Port or St Etienne de Baygorry.
Possibility of consuming on the spot (drinks etc).

  • Ideal land to put your tent on the farm, I recommend! As a bonus, located directly on the route of the Chemin de Compostelle.

  • Great place, very nice with lots of animals! We stayed one more night...
Jean claude is welcoming and very open! We recommend
If we come back in the area we will come back with pleasure!

  • Thanks to Jean-Claude for this short but very pleasant stay on his land. As in the farm, animals everywhere for our greatest happiness and equipments worthy of a real camping, we were several gampeurs and it was really very good atmosphere

  • We arrived in the Basque country to stay with my partner, and I found this host, we were very quiet, sanitary correct.

  • Pleasant stay with Jean-Claude.

  • We spent several nights in a van with Jean-Claude who welcomed us and advised us for our stay in the Basque Country. Everything went very well!

  • A good experience and beautiful meetings. What characterizes this Homecamper, it is its capacity to make cross the homecamper and thus to weave links. We met some nice people, among whom Jean Claude, very nice and full of advice for our visits. The sanitary facilities are very good, a fridge is available, bring a solid hammer for the stakes. Campfire possible with authorization, some shady places. The animals, including horses, are omnipresent, the chickens always at your feet, all of this little world is adorable. You can see a 4x4 or a motorcycle cross one morning but nothing bad. I rediscovered another Basque country, because the land is ideally located to start a road trip in the mountains. We missed the welcome but nothing bad.

  • Jean Claude welcomed us very warmly in a great place with many activities. We will come back

  • Location in the heart of nature. Clean toilets and showers.
Jean Claude is a welcoming host.

  • A great place!

  • A big thank you to Jean-Claude for his welcome despite our late arrival. Very nice place and well kept common parts. We spent a very nice night with the happiness of discovering some animals in the morning! Nice location, very close to Saint-jean Pied de Port.

  • Attention the place is also ground of 4*4, it is thus necessary to appreciate the noise of the engines and the animated skids, dust. From 9 am... Too bad because the place could be magnificent

  • Welcomed by Jean-Claude and all his 4-legged friends in his large hilly domain.
Beautiful places in front of the mountains, where the horses arrive galloping, the cows ruminating... very refreshing.
Beautiful discovery of the Basque mountains by the small roads not very frequented with views at 360° at the passes.
The village of SaintJean le vieux has a very well-stocked mini-market, a butcher's and baker's shop at the top... the terrace of the tobacconist's shop has a magnificent view and the people of the village are very friendly...
Sanitary facilities, kitchen, dining area are functional and spacious, everything is available to campers.
Thank you Jean-Claude for your welcome and the walking trails.

  • Very good, very nice. At the farm, the chickens come to the aunt to picnic with the campers, the pig very nice, great environment, I highly recommend

  • Perfect night, very nice setting, thank you for your welcome.

  • We spent a night at Jean Claude's place. We were able to have a barbecue with the horses that passed right in front of us. Very pleasant setting, quiet.

  • We were warmly welcomed by Jean-Claude who made us discover his Noah's ark. The setting is magnificent. The sanitary facilities and common parts are worthy of a real camping. But the atmosphere is much more friendly and original. We only have one regret: not to have stayed longer! We highly recommend it.

  • What happiness...
