The setting
Our house is located on a closed ground with lawn of 600 m2. The land is surrounded by fir trees, so there is no vis à vis. 30 m2 veranda, darts, ping pong table.
Below the house, we have the ponds (2) which are suitable for beautiful walks, fishing. One of the ponds is 3 km long and the second is 6 km long. It is very peaceful. You will see ducks, moorhens and swans. For your information, no mosquitoes in the evening or during the day because we are not stuck to the ponds.
Many fishermen come here. Behind the ponds, on foot, you have the river called "La Bresle". We are in a valley which is called "La vallée de la Bresle", bordering with the Seine Maritime.
For those who like to walk, the EU Forest is 3 or 4 km from the house.
I have been a B&B for 5 years and all my travelers are very happy with their stay at the house.
The spots
Our land is flat with a passage on the side of the house that is paved.
At the back of our lot is our garage with electricity, fridges, freezers, microwave, dryer, shelter for your bikes, scooters or motorcycles.
My husband is a great handyman and he will be there to help you if you have any problem. He also knows mechanics very well.
To place you, you will see with us what suits you best.
At the back of the property, there is a wooden hut and a small henhouse with 2 laying hens.
The sanitary facilities
You have the possibility to use the bathroom to take your shower.
A supplement of 2 euros per person will be asked and will be paid on the spot.
The bathroom is open in the morning from 8am to 10am and in the evening from 7pm to 9pm.
You have hot water of course.
There is a cold water tap outside the house but it is possible to take hot water from the kitchen.

The activities
As mentioned above, we have a ping pong table.
On foot, you can walk around the ponds below the house.
At 2 km, there is another pond with a paved path to cycle or walk around for 3,2 km.
At 5 km, you arrive at the town of EU, with its magnificent castle where Louis XIV lived, its gardens and its undergrowth. Very nice walk.
At 6 km, the seaside resort Le Tréport with its restaurants known for their seafood, its casino, a beautiful esplanade to walk and the beach with its pebbles and at low tide, a walk at the water's edge on a sandy beach.
At the end of Le Tréport, the funicular, which has been open to the public again for a few years, crosses the cliff and takes you up there for a magnificent view. On clear days you can see the English coast. There is also a restaurant at the top.
If you prefer to walk, you can climb the 365 steps which also take you to the top of the cliff.
On your way back from Le Tréport, you can stop at Mers les Bains and walk along a splendid esplanade. You will discover the picturesque houses of the seaside all painted in different colors. You can also walk at low tide on the sand, with your feet in the water and eat a fried sausage at the "cabane à frites" (homemade French fries), sit on the boards in front of the beach cabins and admire the sunset.
These three cities (EU, Mers les Bains and Le Tréport) are called the 3 sister cities.
Then, with your vehicle, go discover the Bay of the Somme towards St Valery. It is a very nice town with its old quarter, its old streets, its restaurants, its pedestrian street and its market on Sunday morning near the canal of the bay.
WARNING: SWIMMING IS NOT ALLOWED.
The sea rises at an incredible speed and every year many people take risks and lose their lives by drowning.
To make the crossing, nothing is better than a guide who knows the Bay and its currents better than anyone else, and the marked paths through the dunes are very pleasant, and the iodized air does you a world of good. You can also cross the Bay by small train. Information to take on the spot but also on the leaflets I (email hidden)The Bay of the Somme is also known for its seals that are often seen at low tide and at the Pointe du Hourdel.
And a little further, you have the Parc du Marquenterre where you can admire all kinds of migratory birds in their natural habitats. There are 3 steps of different lengths and at the end of your visit, an inn is waiting for you to taste the local products as well as very good Belgian beers.
