Come here, recharge your batteries in the Ardèche mid-mountain region and discover remarkable natural sites in the surrounding area (Ray Pic waterfall, sources of the Loire, Pont du Diable, canyoning, hiking, local producers' market, etc.) To be in contact with nature with a family in conversion to farming (vegetable garden, henhouse, beehive, autonomous hut) and with other travelers likely to propose artistic or playful activities or the expression of their talent, is already to place yourself in informal learning in the proximity of those who choose to integrate into their trip, the experience of sociology proposed.
By your mere presence, you will leave this place being able to answer the following question:
If each member of a group acts according to his or her desires and not by duty that he or she imposes on himself or herself or believes to be imposed on him or her, how is their collective life organized and what is the consequence of this emancipation on each individual and on this group?
The proposed vacations are simple and sincere and each traveler is a resource for the others.
Isabelle leads workshops on request to create mobiles with found objects and materials, small cars made of salvaged wood, circles of mutual help, circles of silence and OM. Perhaps the repair of the shower teepee in a participatory work camp.
The setting
It's a natural place with a minimalist impregnation that invites centering, relaxation, vacation in simplicity, expression of authenticity, symbiosis with trees, plants, animals, children and adults.
The land is partly sloping and wooded, there is a large grove of giant cherry laurels under which the equipment and our cabin are located.
There is a flat part in meadow at the edge of the cliff.
We reach the ground by crossing the river.
The cars park on the other side of the reception area, 50 meters from where we cross the river.
To wash, there is a shower teepee equipped with a bucket with a bulb, by pulling on the handle, the water flows in Italian shower, but there is especially the river, incredible effect but obligation of non pollution on the whole place (see rules).
The ground is largely raised.
We wish this sharing in a state of mind of symbiosis (vs. invasion of a species on another).
On the other side, there is a boulodrome and the field is a two minute walk from the village.
On Monday evenings, it is the farmers' market, the big meeting place for villagers and people passing through.
There is the Bourge, deeper for swimming and diving.
This stone village is superb, it is at the crossroads of four valleys.
Surrounded by mountains of chestnut trees for hiking, the village clock overlooks a natural wall with a climbing wall, many activities around are possible with canyoning on the Besorgues, via ferrata, walks accompanied by a donkey, the visit of the sources of the Loire and of the volcanoes at the mount Gerbier with its daily artisanal market at 40mn, the waterfall of Ray Pic at 15mn, there are restaurants and cafés of the village, the media library with many books and magazines, a computer space, etc
The spots
Soon the pictures ... they are being built
It is a very interesting compromise between space and village life on the spot (2mn by foot).
We are thus in contact with these two realities, human and not human. At night, between the trees, you can see the sky but you can also see the village which sparkles with its yellow street lamps which highlight the beauty of the stone.
In the summer, the village, which attracts green tourism, fills up and it is possible to share the noise of the people who like to let people know that they are celebrating.
Anyway, there is no such thing as total silence with the water flowing into the waterfall above. But is it noise?
There is a very shaded area under the laurel grove, a flat and open area on the sloping part and two sunny areas on the meadow part.
The camp where the dry toilet, the shower teepee and the eating facilities are located is about 30 meters away for each cabin.
For napping, there are hammocks in the shade under the grove and deck chairs are available.
During the day, the chickens roam the grounds and our cat lounges.
The kids and I are outside all the time, between the camp and the river.

The amenities
It is possible to have access to the internet via my phone, which is also a modem.
We are equipped with a solar installation to recharge the phones.
The cooking equipment is outside and sheltered.
Stove with gas oven, Italian coffee maker, dishes, large table.
Drinking water is used for drinking and for everything else, even cooking, we use water from the river.
ATTENTION, there is no fridge, we use the frisso (the water of the stream for certain things) and a trunk is provided to store your dry food safe from animals (there is a small casino, a bakery, the passage of the butcher on Friday noon and of the fishmonger on Thursday morning) and then the market on Monday.
There are board games and a swing.
The activities
Every day there is a meeting to organize the next day from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm (free meeting at the big table). Desires for meals are exchanged, activities proposed on the initiative of someone who wishes to share his or her talent, positioning by expressing the desire to be alone or in the presence of other travelers, volunteers for water and dishwashing, attendance, welcoming the arrivals and departures of travelers). This means that the meeting is lively, some travelers may be at breakfast and others are already starting to prepare lunch, while others have gone on excursions and others are taking the news...
