Description

Quiet and calm

The setting

Old farm in a quiet setting, where we are restoring the buildings to provide tranquil holiday stays. We have an orchard, large collective garden growing vegetables, fire pit and BBQ. Star watch at night next to the fire and enjoy fresh eggs for breakfast from our chickens. Stunning views of the beautiful Normandy countryside far from the noise of roads and bright lights of towns and cities. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and natural surroundings, a great place to just be.

The spots

There are various places you can pitch up which are flat and accessible around out site. Plot up your camper van to take the view up the valley or pick a hide away spot in the garden over looking the river valley. All in easy reach of toilet / shower and kitchen.

The sanitary facilities

Our facilities are clean and accessible. We use dry toilets. We have an independent indoor bathroom with hot shower and wash basin. The dry toilet is situated just outside the bathroom. There is use of a washing machine and drying racks for your clothes.

The amenities

We have an independent kitchen with a fridge and basic cooking facilites, cutlery, crockery, oven, micro wave, kettle, etc, for you to use if you wish.
We have a chill out area with internet access where you can play pool or sit and read, where the is power for charging/using laptops, mobiles etc.

The activities

We are located on the See river, considered probably the best salmon fishing river in France, licenses available locally to fish this beautiful river. We are approx 40 minutes from the world famous Mont st Micheal and the stunning bay, with all assosiated costal activities available. We are also surrounded by the famous battlefields of world war 2 battle of Normandy with the D-Day landing beaches and museums about 45 minutes away by car.
10 minutes away is the historic town of Avranches, where Henry II of England did penance for the the murder of Thomas Becket in 1172, a cosmopolitan town with plenty of historic sites of intrest and plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants to sample.
The rural village of Brecey is just 4Km away with it's Friday market, restaurants and super markets.
Also locally available is canoeing, horse riding, fishing, walks, swimming, cycling.

Rules

Well behaved dogs and owners welcome, please keep energetic dogs on a leash as we have free range chickens and ducks.
