Description

The land is located at 4 kms from Saint-Lary, in the village of Tramezaïgues, at 900 m of altitude, in the Pyrenees.
It belongs to our association.
It offers pleasant and shaded pitches and many amenities. However, it is not a classic campsite and it is self-managed.
This is why the prices can be attractive.
Those who stay in the family house or in the open air are responsible for their stay, respecting the place, the equipment and its cleanliness.
Normally, in order to stay with us, it is necessary to become a member of the association.
You can become a member by paying a fee (2022: 21 €) and you will help us to continue this project.
When you leave :
No waste should be left on site, it will be appropriate to evacuate the garbage bags in the collection points.
We are fully aware of the inconveniences that this situation may cause and we count on your understanding. We thank you for your participation in these sanitary measures which allow us to continue to offer vacations in good conditions.

The setting

The place lends itself to the discovery of the pleasures of hiking. Valleys, peaks and lakes compete with each other and plunge you into a preserved nature where each step is a window on a new and enchanting landscape.
You will also enjoy fishing or going down the river in the Spanish canyons.
The setting is calm, far from the roads, far from worries and filled with pure air.
The water comes from the mountains and is not treated (let it run a little before serving yourself). There is no need to carry bottles from the supermarket!
The nearest shops are in Saint Lary-Soulan.
A path starts from the village of Tramezaïgues, crosses the Rioumajou (on a rope bridge) and goes to Saint Lary located 3-4 Kms below (passing by the path of Caneilles).
Possible return by Vignec then Cadeilhan by a well exposed path in the morning.

The spots

The association offers you large shaded pitches in the park of its chalet. Be careful, few have an electric hook-up!
The access is by a small road which leaves the village.
It is in good condition but motorhomes longer than 6 m will not be able to enter because of the configuration of the bend.
The site cannot be available in June because the haying has not been done!
The pitches are indicated by wooden signs, they have names of summits of the Pyrenees.

The sanitary facilities

You will have 2 bathrooms and 2 showers in the basement of the chalet.
Toilet paper provided, free showers (hot or cold according to your taste).
Drinking water taps outside.
Due to current sanitary measures we have reduced the number of toilets available to those in outdoor accommodation.
The protocol will be posted on the door.
Disinfectant products will be available in each toilet.
Before and after each use (shower, sink, toilet), you are asked to disinfect the spaces with the product you will find in the sanitary facilities.
Campers: 2 showers, 2 toilets, 2 washbasins in the basement (accessible space next to the crockery shed).
Please make sure to keep the door between the 2 sanitary spaces in the basement closed.

The amenities

In this period of epidemic of Coronavirus Covid 19, we must adopt specific preventive measures to ensure the protection of your health during your stay.
We put at your disposal within the accommodation:
- Hydro-alcoholic gel and soap
- Multi-surface disinfectant sprays,
- Rolls of disposable paper towels.
Continue to respect the barrier gestures and maintain a safety distance of 1 m in the common areas. We recommend that you wear a mask when the physical distance cannot be maintained.
We do not provide them and ask that you make your own arrangements.
Dishwashing area outside but sheltered, with hot water and dishwashing basins.
2 self-service washing machines (free of charge but please bring your own washing powder), washing line.
Barbecues available.
Children's games outside and a games room for everyone in the basement of the chalet.
Petanque court available (outside).
Fridges to share (free) in the basement of the chalet
Relaxation area in the shelter (see photo) where you can play games or read in the evening (or in case of rain).

The activities

Our site is located at the foot of the castle on a natural space facilitating meetings.
We are at the edge of the GR 105 (hikers from Saint Jacques to Spain by the port of Ourdissetou) at the entrance of the Rioumajou valley, one of the most beautiful preserved valleys of the High Pyrenees where you can relax near its Neste (more often called Gave by the neophytes).
If you wish to hike with a qualified guide to get to the higher mountains or to benefit from explanations on the valley, do not hesitate to ask us the coordinates of our favorite guide. He will be able to advise you or accompany you to unusual places (he is also an excellent photographer). His website : Daniel Guilly
Several animations are proposed in the villages in the surroundings (museum of the mine, museum of the bear, swimming pool, aquatic ludic space in Loudenvielle, space relaxation (SPA, Thalasso...) Thermal station in Saint Lary, multiple restaurants...)
Spain nearby (by tunnel of 3 kms).
Possibilities of paragliding, climbing, rafting, canyoning, water sledging... and especially of difficult or accessible hikes for all levels.
Cap de Long dam, Néouvielle reserve, national park nearby.

Other things

At your departure:
No waste should be left on site, it will be necessary to evacuate the garbage bags in the collection points.
We are fully aware of the inconveniences that this situation may cause, and we count on your understanding. We thank you for your participation in these sanitary measures which allow us to continue to offer vacations in good conditions.
The family house that hosts you on its grounds also offers self-catering rooms with different possibilities and very attractive prices for "tentless" people.
There is no staff, everyone takes care of the cleaning and makes sure that the used spaces and equipment are clean.
On the spot, you will surely meet some of our association's elders who will be able to guide you or advise you if needed.
They will also be able to bake the cake you have prepared (in the Chalet's oven) or help you with anything else.
Don't hesitate to ask for advice or help, this place is very friendly (it is self-managed since its creation!) and should remain so.
A piece of advice: taste the fresh water of the village fountain.
Enjoy your stay.

Rules

Please respect and make sure that the grounds are respected: butts and other waste in the trash can on the village square (the garbage collectors do not come to the chalet and no one else will pick up your trash).
No pets allowed: unfortunately some owners are less respectful than their favorite animals and we had to stop welcoming our four-legged friends.
Same thing for the quietness: self-care also means sometimes "education". Don't hesitate to speak with those who don't respect you. It doesn't happen often, but sometimes you will have to "police" them.
Limit the passage of cars at night after 11:00 p.m. (put your car on a parking light or park in the village if you arrive really (email hidden)Drive at a walking pace and stay in the parking spaces whenever possible.

  • Beautiful night in this campsite in the countryside.
The sanitary facilities are great and the games area (table soccer) is top notch.

  • Great stay.
Very pleasant, clean spot with all amenities available.
    I'd love to go back.
    Would recommend

  • Ideally located when crossing the Pyrenees, the site is really top-notch. Superb grounds with several shady pitches. Sanitary facilities + convivial area + fridge/freezers. It was a perfect stopover for us. We recommend it 100%! To be left clean of course, as no one manages the site, it's up to each traveler to maintain it.

  • We spent a very good night on Aneto ????
The setting is superb and quiet.
It has everything you need for a great stay.
This was our first experience with homecamper and we'll definitely be back.

  • Splendid setting, tranquillity* serenity of the place
    A wonderful experience

    * a group very noisily occupied the gîte. Evening of August 19 until 2am with no respect for others. A lottery, too bad for the campers, who were all inconvenienced.

  • I've been coming with my son for 3 years now and everything has always gone very well. We love the setting and the peace and quiet.
This year a group arrived on Friday in the big chalet. No respect, they screamed until 3am. Free management doesn't mean forgetting all the rules of communal living and respect for other people's sleep.
Apparently there were some regulars in the group, or at least people very familiar with the place.
Very disappointed! Some people need to be reminded of a few community standards.

  • A pleasant stay in this lovely, welcoming place in the small commune of Tramezaïgue. The Les Isgles association does a remarkable job of enabling young people to spend their vacations in the mountains. As well as being a pleasure, camping on this site helps to finance these activities! We don't pay much because it's self-managed, but we sometimes have to remind certain campers of the principle of this system.

  • Super stay in nature in the quiet and all amenities ... thank you very much for your hospitality. We'll definitely be back.

  • Unforgettable stay.
The place is beautiful and peaceful.
    The self-management principle works well.
The fact that there is no reception is rather confusing and frustrating as we would have liked to have more information about the place.
We only got it from a regular.
We'll definitely be back, as we haven't visited everything in the area.

  • Magnificent site in the middle of the mountains! My stay was very pleasant and enjoyable. A place worth visiting for its beauty and the warm welcome from the members of the association. I also liked the concept of a shared place, which makes it easier to forge links with other travellers... I'll be happy to return :-)

  • L'experiència que hem tingut ha estat molt més que agradable. L'espai i la gent que l'envolta és fantàstic. Totalment recomenable. Felicitats per tenir aquest espai enmig de la naturalesa.

  • It was perfect, we spent 5 nights in a quiet and beautiful place, we will return and I recommend it.

  • Beautiful place! So pleasant that we extended our stay!
This self-managed campsite has all the necessary amenities (maintenance is the responsibility of the users). It's a shame that the campers aren't all self-responsible.

  • I spent a night camping at the end of July, and it's perfectly situated for those who like to go hiking, and the facilities are very good, with fridges available if needed. If you're passing through the area, don't hesitate!

  • It was perfect! A quiet night in a beautiful location surrounded by mountains.
Organized place, the site is very large, each pitch is spacious.
There's everything you need, nothing to complain about.
We even wanted to stay several days because we loved it so much!
    Go with your eyes closed

  • Super !

  • Stay from August 1 to 10, 2023. We had everything we needed at the campsite. I regret that not everyone plays the game of self-management regarding the maintenance of sanitary facilities, but the place remains clean thanks to those who respect.
We couldn't find compost for our green waste.
When we arrived, someone had set up on our pitch (pic d'adet). With campers setting up along the boulodrome, we came to wonder how the association managed arrivals and departures without being on site.
The overall experience remains very positive, as the campsite is calm and shady. The village of Tramezaygues is well located in relation to Saint Lary.

  • Very warm welcome, well-maintained site and very attractive price.
    Had a good night

  • Top ANETO location (which we inaugurated)! Super setting, peace and quiet. Very good welcome with explanations of how things work. We'll be back with pleasure ????

  • Superb location! Beautiful, spacious pitches. Amenities (showers, toilets) always very clean! Very warm welcome.

  • A week's stay in a family tent in the magnificent setting of this hamlet. The volunteers are charming, attentive and offer excellent advice. Sanitary facilities and equipment are simple but effective and plentiful. A perfect week, if you accept the spirit of the place, i.e. self-management and therefore to put the hand to the dough for the cleaning and the respect of the place. We love it!

  • We had booked for 4 nights, but extended our stay by 2 nights because we were so happy. The site is very well placed for visiting the region, with peace and quiet guaranteed. At night we were lucky enough to hear tawny owls.
We took advantage of all the facilities and of course took a drink of water from the village fountain.
We'll be recommending this site to our friends and family.

  • We had a great time

  • Very pretty setting. Ideal for a family stay. The gîte's facilities (showers, toilets) are pleasant even when camping.

  • A quiet and restful place, few people during our stay.
A reception only by mail but all the important information was there.

  • The place is absolutely quiet. We stayed there for three nights under tent and appreciated the extra comfort of the chalet, with free access to showers, facilities, kitchen, outdoor dishwashing area, game room,...
    Thanks to the association ;)

  • Beautiful place at the foot of the mountains, very good reception, family atmosphere.

  • We spent a very good week, in a quiet and spacious place. Very nice walks to do.
A small renovation of the sanitary facilities could be planned.

  • No problem, ideal spot with a truck. Full nature, nice hamlet. Too bad for the construction site below, but nobody can do anything about it, that's life ✌️

  • The self-managed site is a very good idea! The setting is great and the other campers/hikers are very nice!

  • Pleasant stay, very quiet.

  • A perfect place to rest and discover the Néouvielle massif while walking!

  • Nice site, too bad there are no outdoor tables for campers who arrive on foot, bike or motorcycle and who do not have the possibility to forward their equipment.

  • All the campers of the association have shown a very warm welcome. The field is large, very spaced out. It is clean and well equipped.

  • We stayed 3 nights and we loved the setting, the concept as well as the contact with the host even if it was done by mail
    I highly recommend

  • very good stay in a very pleasant setting, small drawback: we had very noisy neighbors in the evening (family party) and despite our remarks the 1st evening, continued the other evenings ... too bad it has spoiled a little our stay especially in the evening
    Sincerely

  • We spent a very good weekend, beautiful location, sanitary, shower and dishes nothing to say, a real moment of relaxation and tranquility thank you

  • Top location, nice setting and clean sanitary facilities

  • We spent a good night, in a quiet place. Small drawback for the toilets, some travelers obviously did not understand the functioning of the place. Too bad!
Perfect situation to go hiking, spacious and peaceful place

  • Autonomous reception we had trouble finding our site, and for cause vehicles park at the site.
Strong warmth a lot of gadflies.
Apart from that, which remains the fault of bad luck, the quality price ratio and the equipment are top.
Good spirit and nice little village.
Very good hiking spot on the heights, along the Nesté ????????

  • Place in the middle of nature, idyllic! Very quiet. The people in charge are welcoming and accommodating. The chalets are equipped with a kitchen for travelers who book a room, but as there was no one there, we were allowed (we campers) to use the stove.
Thank you very much for the warm welcome, the availability of the people in charge to give information.
When you leave a place like this one and you are already dreaming about the projects for next year, it's a good sign ????
What is difficult is the self-management of the place, because all the campers are not as careful as each other. Indulgence for the teenage camps where the counselors have a lot to supervise.
    Thanks to all

  • Amazing location, very quiet and great clean facilities. A real gem.

  • Really a little paradise!

  • Exceptional! A haven of peace at the foot of many hikes!
    Calm, organized, relaxing and secure.
We were with our 1 year old daughter and everything went very well
I recommend and long live this association!

  • Very quiet and pleasant campsite.

  • Beautiful place and great people to meet. Thank you so much. I recommend this place!

  • At the top! Very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the site and the organization.

  • Great experience and nice meeting. The space is nice, the environment beautiful! My son also liked the playroom. We will be back, thank you!

  • A very good welcome in a family atmosphere.
A good location in a green place, with all the necessary equipment (showers, barbecues, indoor rooms, washing machine)
    Perfect!
