Description

Do not miss the opportunity to hang with the Islanders. There are 5 families that live on Batutsi Island, making a population of about 500 people.

The setting

It's very quiet on the Batutsi Island. There's a lot of vegetation all around and the Islanders are very friendly.

The spots

The property is surrounded by a fence to prevent farm animals from entering, but the fence does not interfere with the view of the lake and surrounding mountains. The property faces the East, which means that Sun will be right in your face as it rises in the morning.

The sanitary facilities

The lake is for bathing and swimming. Should you need a toilet, the Islanders will provide one for. However, we can build a toilet on the property very quickly, should you not need to use someone else's.

The amenities

There's a 5mX4m shed on the land, should you need store anything.

The activities

I operate a boat on the lake Burera. For as long as you are my guest, my boat will take you anywhere on the lake for FREE. There are 5 islands on lake Burera, which you can visit at your leisure. The famous Virunga Lodge is located up the hill across the lake, where you can get a massage and fine dining. Did I mention the volcano mountains for hikers? How about visiting the mountain gorillas?
