Description

Welcome to Havreholm farm camping.

Havreholm is a historic farm from the 1200s. We have made a small area available for campers. It is a low cost campsite with few facilities.

The farm campsite is for everyone but is probably mostly aimed at families with children.

It's open all year. No need to book a spot you can just drop by.

As it is a farm campsite and not a professional campsite, it is not possible (according to Danish law) to offer space for more than three caravans at a time.

On the property there is a wild garden which is used for workshops on permaculture and teaching about campfire food and biodiversity.

As a guest at Havreholm farm you can move freely throughout the farm. You can look at the animals, use the farm's play facilities, taste the farm's herbs, fruits and berries, enjoy the various flowers in the garden or light a fire and enjoy the birds song.

There is a small private motor airfield and rescue helicopter site approx. 250 meters from the farm. There are some fun homemade airplanes in between.

The setting

The camping area is a small green place surrounded by trees and shrubs that protect against the wind and most of the noise from the nearby road. The road can be heard. Especially in the morning and afternoon hours.

There is both sun and shade on the camping area. There are table-benches on the site.

The farm is a historic farm and is being restored. We work in several places on the property. Dont worry about the mess. Enjoy the process.

The electricity is established and paid in advance in cash on arrival for the days that electricity is required. Electricity costs 10 euro per day. Bring your own cable for electricity.

Accommodation in own tent costs 3.50 euro per person per night.

Firewood burner costs 3.5 euros per bag.

  • I only stayed one night because I wanted to leave early enough the next day to cross the bridge to Sweden. The hosts are pleasant and present on arrival. For the moment, it's better to be totally autonomous as there's still a lot of work to be done. But the hosts are full of ideas and willing to make the place look nice. Too bad they left some empty caravans lying around. I thought I'd find other people, but I was all alone. I did get a visit from two sisters, who played with Hippie for a while. I didn't get to say goodbye, as I thought they weren't up yet. I wish them all the best.

  • A night on a grassy field, toilets available and 2 adorable little girls with whom our children were able to play.
Thank you for the warm welcome.

  • We received an impeccable welcome from this kind Danish family. Our 9-year-old daughter had a great time with their 2 youngest daughters.
The farm is very large. The toilets are indeed a bit far away, but that's not a problem as we were on vacation.
The noise of planes and cars didn't bother us.
We'd love to go back, as they're a lovely family.

  • A very warm welcome on a beautiful site!

  • Warm welcome from the family.
    Very pleasant location.
    Negative points:
    - Very busy and noisy road, even on Sundays.
    - nearby airfield and heliport with 3 night operations
    Possible for one night

  • Christel and her family are extremely welcoming and helpful. They even brought out a camping table just for us. The place is lovely and one can barely hear the cars from the surrounding street even on a tent.

The only negative we had is that the water station and toilet are quite far from the camping ground. A non-issue if you have your own.

  • We had a very nice stay with Christel. We had everything we needed and the host family was super friendly. Thank you!
