  • I've never had an experience like it. We're a group that has been renting land for several years and everything has always gone smoothly.

The host asked us to be there at 8pm on the day. We said we'd be there by 9pm at the latest, as our group was working and couldn't be there at that time. Some of our group were there from 8.30pm. We apologized for the delay. We informed the host of our delay, who left us instructions by message. We took care to follow them, trying to recognize the locations from the photos on the site, which don't exactly represent the reality of the terrain. We parked our cars as indicated.

We felt attacked from the outset by Joel. It all started with a mistake when we booked "1 tent for 8 people", we apologized again for this but you didn't want to hear it and accused us of not having paid even though everything was in order. We offered to move the tents if necessary, to invite you for a drink with us to ease tensions and even to compensate you. We think we've done what's necessary to ensure that everything goes smoothly, but we haven't felt that you want things to work out between us, and I quote: "you're from Brussels, I can tell", "I'd like you to shut up with your stupid excuses", after we've asked yet again what we can do to make things right.

We agree that certain things have not been respected (we're really sorry we burnt one of your logs), but we find that your attitude, your total lack of benevolence, your judgments, your unfounded accusations (we broke absolutely nothing in terms of equipment, we paid for everything and the site was just as we found it when we left) and your lack of good will have spoilt the stay we had on this site.

A pleasant site, but a very poor welcome.

    To be avoided.

  • nice plot, warm welcome, nice people.
The woods are nice but a bit messy.
Caution, toilet is only good in emergency. Not very clean/nice for the ladies.

  • A warm welcome with Mr Ollevier and his son. The setting is great, the place is top to put its tent, we spent a pleasant evening!

I recommend it for anyone passing through Belgium and wishing to sleep in the middle of the Belgian nature!

  • A nice surprise to discover this beautiful place and the beautiful people who take care of it.
Ideally located opposite the village while being quiet in nature with a beautiful living space.
    We even saw fireflies!
Thank you very much for these good moments.

  • Super nice and quiet place.

  • message sent to Joy
    Hello Joy,
I travelled a lot in France with France-passion (= reception of motor-home owners on their property by farmers, wine growers, various producers) and I liked it a lot. What was offered was a "spot" and a welcome.
I thought I would find something similar (what I knew during my two previous "home camper" escapes).
Unfortunately, I found only a quiet place (meadow and wood) but no interest for me because no welcome or presence except a cat (stray?) who, like me, was looking for company. It was not what I was hoping for nor what I wanted. So I didn't stay ... veni, vidi, parti ... It was a mistake on my part to have booked two nights!
I went to the marina (very pleasant place) with a walk along the canal and then I continued my stay on the side of Tournai.
It is certainly a very beautiful isolated place, calm and in full nature but place which could however become delicate by time of rain for the motorhomes (and in particular to go up the way which skirts the meadow).
    Yours faithfully
    JeanPierre

  • Very good reception and very good evening.
    To do again :-)

  • Good welcome!
Very nice and quiet place, too bad the weather was not good enough to enjoy the wood and the campfire!
    Well ????

  • Super! To be repeated. The tranquility of nature and yet close to everywhere

  • Extraordinary place!!!!
The meadow is beautiful, the wood too!
We can make a great campfire!
We are very isolated, and at the same time, 5 minutes from the center.
    We will come back!
    To recommend +++

  • Always a warm welcome, a lot of space, we are quiet, really nice and accessible for a vacation with friends, thank you again, we will come back!

  • Quiet camping spot, lots of privacy.
Joel is smooth to deal with and gave a smooth tour.

  • Beautiful setting.

  • For a stay with friends, the place was beyond our expectations. A superb spot and a warm welcome to forge beautiful memories. In addition to the proximity of a lively and pleasant center... I can only recommend it !

  • The place corresponds to the description, we have an enormous surface in a wooded and calm frame.

  • We were very kindly received by Joel, everything was top notch. The campfire in the middle of the forest was a unique experience. Just do it ;)

  • Beautiful meadow, bordered by a wood and a clearing where you can make a campfire.

The owner, Joel, responds very kindly and quickly to messages. His daughter welcomed us, she is nice and helpful.

What a joy to be able to meet with friends (former scouts) around our tents and the fire!
We had the impression to be in the middle of nowhere, in the nature...
At the same time, we were close to all the facilities (train station, shops...).
There is, and this is a real plus, a drinking water source at 1km.

    It was just perfect!!!

  • Friendly setting
    Friendly host
    Quiet and welcoming place
I will come back without hesitation
