In absolute peace and quiet, alone in the heart of nature, my riverside property welcomes you far from any neighbours.
Horses are welcome, and dogs are accepted if they are quiet and sociable.
Well-maintained site, large trees, barbecue and tables.
Sea 15 km / Mountains 60 km / Spain 40 km by direct freeway access.
Mountain bike rides to beaches and villages, without having to use the road.
By train from Rivesaltes Perpignan TER or "Train Rouge".
Caution: with the drought, the river may be dry.

The setting

Absolute peace and quiet, on the banks of the river via a reserved access that belongs to me. The 5-hectare plot borders the river, and swimming is possible.
For individuals and couples, not overlooked, less than 100 meters from other campers (maximum 3 couples).
3 perfectly shaded pitch areas.
A secluded pitch for small motorhomes or caravans.
Groups of friends welcome for 1 to 2 days maximum, with the possibility of reserving the 2-hectare site.
Large and potentially noisy families are not allowed.
My only requirement is respect for the site and for peace and quiet.
No dirt, no cigarette butts.
Possibility of sleeping in a chalet (supplement €10/night).

The spots

Open pitches, near the river, or more than 250 meters away.
For minimum stays of 3 days, possibility of creating an enclosure for your dog with mobile fencing. Supplement 10 € / night.

Other things

  • A quiet little corner of nature, perfect.

  • In a word: great for us! A large plot, clean, well-maintained, well-defined, partly fenced, in the countryside, in the middle of orchards, away from the city without being far from it, flat, easy to access, trees, for us alone, at least out of season. We were in "personal autonomy". Pleasant, tranquil setting, views of the snow-capped Pyrenees on the horizon. You can walk for miles in the surrounding area. Excellent communication with our host, both before and during our stay. A superb location, a haven of peace and quiet, yet relatively close to "civilization", perfectly matching the description and our expectations. We could vaguely hear the "real" singing of the bells, which was pleasant and surprising. We were able to let our Beauceron "loose" and even get to know our host's Beauceron for a few minutes. The site was quite sheltered from the wind, which was blowing hard that November day. Dominique was very warm, available, helpful, and at the same time "discreet", he welcomed us, then let us use his property: PERFECT! ;-) Before arriving at his place, we explored (among other things) the magnificent site of Salses Le Château. On the way back, we passed through Oms, Palalda, Arles sur Tech, the Col d'Ares at 1513 m, Olot, then the superb villages of Rupit and Tavertet. We'll certainly be coming back one day. What's more, it's less than 400 km from home ;-)

  • Hello
I hesitated for a long time to leave a comment but my experience was bad.
I was in a tent with three children and my partner.
    The site is well located
Sanitary conditions: we have an individual toilet (like a big pot, not a dry toilet) but there's no place to empty it (in everyone's common sense in a grove) we preferred to make holes like in wild camping rather than also have to clean it without an adequate place. I'll skip the details, but we obviously weren't the first...
It was bad luck, but in August the river was unbathable (stagnant, rotten water). We just wish we'd been warned.
A spring provides drinking water in cans filled the same morning; one morning one of ours had obviously been used for fuel oil before! My son pointed out to me that the water had a strange taste and the can smelled of fuel oil.
The location is natural but not bucolic (airport right next door, neighbors not so far from where we were).
If you're in a tent, the terrain is mostly rock, and you have to rake your pitch yourself before you can pitch your tent.
All in all, I found that there was a huge discrepancy between the advert, the rather good comments, the happy people on site (but who stayed for more like a month looking for accommodation in the region), the rather substantial price for almost wild camping and our experience..,
We didn't meet Dominique, who everyone agrees is a very nice guy, which I don't doubt, but frankly, the tent camping conditions leave a lot to be desired...

  • Dominique's hotel is very friendly.
We spent 2 very pleasant days.
We will return with great pleasure.

  • An evening stopover. Very warm welcome from Dominique.
Huge plot, you choose where to sit to be sure of getting the shade you need in August.
More water in sight on hot days :/

    Absolute peace and quiet.

  • A very warm welcome, the grounds are huge and you can get away from it all. The equipment is basic but suitable for a short stay.

  • A quiet place far from everything between orchards.
Welcomed by a friendly group of campers.
A small river to refresh the dogs

  • A warm and exemplary welcome, a beautiful stay in the wild and tranquil countryside. Bonus: the river for swimming.
    Highly recommend.

  • 5 hectares almost all to ourselves, away from the world, the vans in the shade of the Oaks, the river to cool off 100m away, the ideal calm after late-night musical evenings in Barcarès. It was perfect!

  • Super place I recommend

  • A great moment of calm and relaxation.
Plenty of shade, thanks in particular to the hazelnut trees.
Not far from all amenities. Pebbled access path a few hundred meters long, practicable.
River nearby. Surrounding orchards. Basic but adequate sanitary facilities.
Regular spring water replenishment. Fresh water good for body and soul.
    At Roots ????

  • We had a great time at Dominique's place.
We stayed for three days. Two days we were alone on his property.
There were a lot of trees, so we found a nice spot for our tent in the shadow.
The ground was a little bit rocky, but we used our tarp to protect our tent.
Sometimes it was a little bit noisy because of planes, but it didnt bother us.
Domenique and Karine are very nice persons.

  • ????sur tous les points: reception, environment... just avoid choosing the day of the opening of hunting... if you do not want to be awakened at 7am by gunshots. But the superb setting makes you forget this inconvenience ! ???? (just also not necessarily hot water)

  • With delay, I make a return of our stay ressourcant at Dominique.

Site true to the description, ideal for nature lovers. Space, calm. Feeling of freedom and reconnection to the essentials. I almost feel like buying a plot of land and camping all year long...

The proximity of the sea is an undeniable plus.

Thank you for the welcome and the availability.

  • A corner of nature perfect to find oneself and recharge one's batteries.
A big thank you to Dominique for his welcome.

  • Near Rivesaltes, in the middle of vineyards and apricot trees. Difficult access road, the green setting was not there, due to the drought, for campers, the planting of sardines is therefore a pain! Dominique was welcoming and reactive during the exchanges, not present on the ground but he came to bring back drinking water bottles. To know: no electricity on site.

  • Dominique is super friendly, he picked us up from the station as we were travelling by train. The campside is very simple but contains everything you need. If you don’t have a car it’s important to know that the campside is in a bit of walking distance to the next stores/restaurants. You can bathe in the river and the small swimming pool of the campside.

  • During an EVJG we wanted to be quiet and we were, it was our only wish. Despite the 37 degree temperature on the day of our arrival, our host had provided us with a small pool. The site is well shaded and the equipment is rustic and functional.

  • Perfect stay in a quiet place, I recommend.

  • Very good reception, quiet and flat place, I recommend.

  • Fortunately we have all the amenities in the camper. Lack of hygiene, water proposed with impurities, WC type portiporta in the shower on caille botis.we did not return for the last 2 nights settled.

  • Very welcoming and helpful host. In the middle of nature the land is vast and next to a river. A few planes pass overhead on weekends but much less during the week.

  • Corner of nature is what we were looking for with the strict necessary impeccable. We were able to visit the region while resting quietly in the evening on the grounds. Dominique's welcome was very nice and he was very present for our requests, which he satisfied ????

  • Stay of 3 nights for a total change of scenery, very good welcome from Dominique, concerned about our well-being. Site located in the middle of orchards, near a river where it is good to swim. Only nuisance the planes (perpignan airport)

  • Very good stay, very relaxing

  • We spent a very good stay, in the peace and in the middle of nature. Dominique welcomed us very well, it was a pleasure to stay with him these few days. Discreet, very well maintained ground, the swimming pool was a small plus not negligible for our girls with this heat!

  • Perfect reception. Thank you dominique The place is very isolated. Provide a gps. The comfort is minimal. Birds, foxes and silence. Exactly what I was looking for

  • Nice stay with Dominique. Helpful and available I recommend :)

  • We were received like kings in this great corner of nature where it is good to live! To know Dominique is very enriching: a great sympathy, very benevolent, friendly, human, are part of his many qualities. A stay in complete confidence!

  • I had booked with Dominique, but stuck in Japan, I could not come. Dominique kindly offered me to postpone the dates of the week of stay, and finally I came to see the site without staying there, because I had other obligations. But I could see how perfect the site was for a quiet stay, swimming, shade etc. .... Thank you Dominique

  • Attention bikers, the access is not at all easy for road vehicles. Not easy for tents but rather for van or camper. Concerning the hut we regretted that it does not close from the inside. Nice sanitary space. Dominique is nice. Thanks for the bottle.

  • Great! First time using Homecamper, no regrets!

We were a family (a couple + 2 children 3 and 5 years old), and it was perfect. Not far from the beach, from a horse riding school (the kids went pony riding), and a river right next to it. However, my daughter and I had an allergic reaction to the river water, so be careful!

Otherwise, communication from Domique was perfect. Frederique welcomed us (I think he is a 'neighbor'). No vis-a-vis, absolute privacy! 2 wonderful hammocks, big bbq, enough tables and benches!

    Perfect.
    Thank you again!

  • Dominique found the time to welcome us despite a late reservation. I thank him for that. He took the time to meet us the next morning in a very nice way. Indeed, I apologize for the branches that had not been removed before leaving. In any case, a pleasant night in a natural setting.

  • Ras

  • Great first stay via homecamping at Dominique. Roots sanitary facilities but being improved, plenty of shade and space at disposal, absolute quietness. But the most is the river, really beautiful! And fishy for those interested.

  • Our first experience of home camping was at Dominique's, we were welcomed like kings, the various pitches can suit everyone's tastes, we had a great stay! Thank you for the welcome

  • We spent a few days relaxing in a natural setting at the top!

  • Very nice this little cabin in the middle of nowhere. Access to the pool and the river. Dominique very nice even if we saw each other only a few minutes.

  • We had a very nice stay on Dominique's property. Very quiet and spacious place, ideal for your 4-legged friend! ???? with the bonus of the river (almost private) just behind!
Thank you for your warm welcome!
    We recommend this place!

  • Coin sympa ????

  • Unfortunately we had to shorten our stay but we thank Dominique for his sympathy and kindness. We will come back again.

  • Thank you very much for your warm welcome in a natural and bucolic setting, with birds and frogs as neighbors.
I look forward to coming back!

  • Great site for an escape into nature! And Dominique was very friendly and helpful. Would visit again and reccomend to friends

  • I spent 2 months filled with a beautiful meeting and beautiful surprises. The place is full of little treasures and it is an enriching experience when you live it alone as I did. I recommend without hesitation !

  • Dominique is a sympathetic and attentive person. The place has charm and should be even more appreciable in summer.

  • This stay at Dominique's very welcoming home was just as we wanted it to be calm and relaxing in the fresh air. We were alone on the property because our stay was in September and the river was ideal for swimming.

  • first successful experience, enriching and pleasant, perfect to get off the beaten track and find our essence, calm assured, just Nature, wind and rain hohoho but if needed Dominique and Michel are available, and welcoming. Water at disposal and presence of the Agly just next door, it's really a plus. Between apricot trees, vineyards, almond trees and oak trees, the region is arid, the south, but very quickly we have the beaches and the mountains really close.
Thank you and see you soon!

  • Very good good reception

  • Pleasant and quiet week.
Very nice experience and what a pleasure to see our dogs in total freedom!
Dominique is a courteous and welcoming host. Let's leave with nice memories...

  • Super site! A retenir!
