We are located almost exactly between Montevideo and Punta del Este, on Ruta 9. Driving time is 45 minutes from Aeropuerto de Carrasco and 60 minutes from downtown Punta del Este. COT buses pass directly in front of the property twice per day in both directions (let us know if you’re coming by bus and we’ll help you navigate the schedule and get dropped off at our stop). We’re also under 30 minutes’ drive from the balneario beach fronts of Atlantida and La Floresta, 10 minutes from the small town of Soca and 3kms from small local shops where you can buy basic amenities.
The setting
The camp is a grassy area closed off near our paddocks for cattle and horses. Almost no light pollution means unbelievable views of the (email hidden)We're close to Route 9, but it is lightly trafficked and the site is quiet and scenic.
The spots
We have a pretty large camp and don't limit the size of tents or caravans. Our gates are a bit too small to fit motorhomes, but let us know your situation and we'll see if we can accommodate your rig. The ground is flat and soft, lots of grass and some trees for shade. We also have posts to hang hammocks.
The sanitary facilities
Campers get access to three full bathrooms (one directly off the campsite in the common area, two a bit of a walk away in the main house). We have hot water in all the facilities.
The amenities
We have WiFi in the common areas, although the rural setting means it's not strong enough to steam videos. Most any other internet activity would work just fine. We have a full kitchen in the main house that you are free to use, and an electric kettle, cutlery and barbecue in the quincho common area.
Electricity supply is inside the common area, we have extension cords.
The activities
We can help you schedule horseback riding on the property, but you can also hike around on your own or head down to the beach towns all along the coast about 20 minutes away. In addition to the beach, from the ranch you can easily coordinate day trips to local attractions like the Castle at Piriapolis, Casa Pueblo, the Lussich Arboretum, Fundación Pablo Atchugarry Sculpture Park, the Salto de Penitentes waterfall and high tea at Las Cumbres.
If you're interested we can also host you for a traditional asado and tasting of Uruguayan wines.
