Description

Hello nature lovers!
We welcome you to the heart of a 6-hectare wooded estate overlooked by a 16th-century château.

Located on the heights of the Tarn in the heart of nature, the gentle setting will make you forget the passage of time.
History buffs, you've come to the right place ☺
By spending your vacation with us, you'll be helping our association to renovate the site and preserve a small part of France's heritage ❤❤
Join our association by coming camping.
A membership form is to be filled in on arrival.

The setting

Surrounded by farms, farmland and not far from the Serenac forest, this magical place steeped in history will delight nature lovers.

You'll be able to see cows in the surrounding fields, farmers ploughing their fields, and if you feel like it, you can take part in the picking of seasonal fruits found on the estate (plums, mirabelles, grapes, figs...).
So don't forget your little basket!

We have animals (chickens, roosters, ewes, lambs and our dog Lily).
Most of them live free on the estate.

The spots

We provide 6 hard-standing platforms measuring 5 m x 10 m, under lime and oak trees.
Caravans, camper vans, tents, etc. can be accommodated without difficulty, as well as tables and chairs.

The entrance is easily accessible and separate from the main entrance to the estate, so you can get in and out without disturbing anyone, of course (while respecting other holidaymakers).

The sanitary facilities

We provide 2 toilets, washbasins, 2 showers with hot water, a solar shower and a shower with cold water.
"It happens that there is no more hot water, so please wait 30 minutes because it's a cumulus". thank you in advance.

  • Very warm welcome from Hadia and her family
The space is very large and shaded where we were comfortable.
    Between nature and conviviality
    I would recommend

  • Our stay at Hadia's was ideal - one of our best campsites ever! The welcome is extremely pleasant, and the grounds are vast and shaded by large trees. The sanitary and kitchen facilities are clean and complete. We're delighted to have played a modest part in the family's project to renovate the château through this stay.
PS : the home-made jam available for sale is remarkable !

  • If you're looking for a stopover in an exceptional setting, you've come to the right place.
Hadia will be delighted to welcome you to her haven of peace.
We're delighted to have stayed at the Château and to have been amazed by the place.
A nostalgic thought to our two mascots Lily and her adopted companion Rocky.

  • The estate is a magical place, a haven of peace. Hadia and her parents are very welcoming. The plums are delicious and Hadia's story of the château is fascinating. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll be sure to come back. Thank you for opening this place to the public.

  • What a wonderful encounter!
A family that shares and cares.
    We'll be back for sure!
    Hadia : solar person ☀️⭐????
    Thank you

  • A warm welcome, a superb castle, a very large park. Everything to make us come back in this superb region : Albi, Cordes sur ciel...
    Thank you for everything.

  • A remarkable welcome, a kindness rarely seen!
The place and the meal were incredible!
    Thank you for everything!

  • Very nice stay! Great story, nice place, beau chateau and very nice people. We also had dinner at this place: marvelous!

  • We had a pleasant stay with Hadia and her family. Her smile and her good mood make her a very welcoming host! The place is perfect for a family stay. You will enjoy the space, the activities with animals for children, impeccable and privatized sanitary! Hadia is very attentive to her campers! So don't hesitate any longer and meet this family with a strong commitment, and who has launched into the renovation of the French heritage!

  • Excellent reception of Hadia on her large ground around the castle.
I was able to install myself at my convenience in the middle of the trees.
The sanitary facilities are simple but well maintained.
The countryside lends itself well to walking, for cycling it is hilly, especially towards the banks of the Tarn.
I recommend for the availability of Hédia, the setting, the welcome and the tranquility.

  • Nice place.
It's a pity that the owner is not here, we could have had the "history" of this domain.
We were received by 2 very nice people.
We don't mind the obligation to join the association but it would be nice to give clear explanations about it and also give the statutes and rules of this association.
The grounds are very well maintained.
The sanitary facilities and the kitchen are correct.
The swimming pool was impracticable..... The water was green and saturated with chlorine. But it is not serious, the river is not too far.
Mosquitoes infested ground (about 30 bites in one night).

  • Super welcome very good stay we recommend without hesitation!!!

  • Everything was perfect: the reception and the site.
    Corresponds to the description.

  • Excellent place with all the necessary comfort to spend nights in a tent. Hadia and her husband are very kind and inspiring. Despite the rain, we left the castle with the desire to return as soon as possible. Great people in a great place.

  • We extended our stay by 3 days to take advantage of our spacious location. The kids enjoyed the ice cream sale and the animals, the parents enjoyed the quietness and the setting.
Thank you Hadia for this stay, we hope to have the opportunity to return!

  • Everything was perfect, we were really delighted to camp in this beautiful setting with century-old trees and calm. What a blessing!
The welcome was superb, we discovered a family using all their time and energy to restore a small part of the French heritage and we were happy to participate a little. Hadia explained us the history of the place and we had the privilege to visit the castle of Gautherie... We will come back for sure! Thanks for everything and a special hello to Rayane :-) Karin and Guy

  • Very beautiful domain in a huge park.
We were able to enjoy a home-made couscous.
    Warm and friendly welcome!

  • Nice 1st experience on homecamper.
The place is superb, the welcome perfect.
Think of the anti mosquito !
Swimming pool is perfect for children to cool down.

  • What a setting, what nature, what history ! Hadia and her family welcome you to the château de la Gautherie, and let you enjoy the magnificent park of the château. But more than the park, it is a human adventure that this place offers you. Come and discover the incredible history of the castle told by Hadia, the meals made with vegetables from the garden and love, by her mother. Meet her daddy while walking in the park, he is always tinkering and repairing, while being happy to tell you the mysteries of the Gautherie. Here you will have no neighbor within 50 meters of your tent, and all the comforts (kitchen, shower, toilet, electrical outlets). This place is magical. We will come back for sure!

  • Peace and quiet for this superb domain.
Thanks to Hadia for this warm welcome.
We will come back several days next time.

  • Beautiful setting, very pleasant family

  • A very pleasant stop in this castle, renovated with passion by Hadia and her lovely family. The price of the bare pitch for a tent is perhaps a little too expensive (few sanitary facilities, problem of hot water etc). It was interesting to align ourselves with the prices of the surrounding campsites
But to think that our financial contribution will help to renovate the castle and the magnificent domain is a consolation and even brings a certain pride to have participated in the French heritage.

  • We stayed 4 days at Hadia's who is a very welcoming host, she explained us the history of the castle and the work she has done with her parents for 7 years to bring back to life this domain what courage! There is an immense ground with trees centenaries, sheep, hens and an adorable dog.on with sites very distant from each other the calm one. Go there with your eyes closed!

  • Wonderful stay in a tent in the park of the castle. Excellent welcome and exceptional setting. Perfect for families. Delighted to have been able to contribute to this wonderful restoration project.

  • Small stop of 2 nights in this pretty corner... very good reception of Hadia and her family! The setting is really very nice. A beautiful castle and a very nice park with trees. The girls loved playing in the park and the company of Lily, the owners' dog, who is really adorable with children.

  • We spent a very good stay, the site is magnificent, we spent a very good time with Hadia who told us the history of the castle, we thank her for her kindness and hospitality.

  • Short stay, but perfect...
We decided to leave at the last minute just for the weekend, we chose this magnificent castle with its immense grounds, Hadia, her husband, their son and their adorable dog Lili welcomed us like kings...
Everything is impeccable, the pool, the independent toilet/shower/kitchen...
Adorable owners who will take time to tell you the history of their castle around a small aperitif generously offered.
If you want to play soccer, their son and Lili will be able to exhaust you for hours, you can also participate in the meal of their animals and pick the fruits and vegetables of the season.

In short, a very nice meeting,
    We recommend without problems.

  • We had a great time on the domain with Hadia and her family, the place is very beautiful and quiet, the hosts are exceptionally nice and welcoming, we will come back with pleasure to spend a moment on the place for sure.

  • A warm and benevolent welcome, a magnificent setting and the company of lili, roussette, bob...and the others. Thank you to Hadia and Eddy for allowing us to spend a unique night at the foot of the castle.

  • We stayed 10 days with Hadia and her family with our three children aged 10, 8 and 7. We had our tent and our arbour near the small building where we had at our disposal, shower room, WC, small kitchenette (with electric plate), refrigerator and freezer. All that it is necessary to camp in all serenity.
Concerning the reception : Hadia welcomed us warmly and knew how to put us at ease, to choose us the best place according to our situation. We also met her parents, full of generosity and attention.
Concerning the place : the park is simply majestic, hundred-year-old trees, oaks, sequoia, chestnut trees...
    One word : serenity
And then there is also the dog Lili, our friend who protected us every night and welcomed us every morning. Also Rousette, Blanchette or Brunette who came to chew the crumbs of the breakfast.

If you like pure camping with amenities, you will be happy at the Château de la Gautherie. In addition, you will do a good deed for the restoration of the castle and the regional heritage.

Thank you to Hadia and her family.

Julie, Abdel, Issa, Ambrine and Yacine

  • Very pleasant welcome and stay with lovers of old stones and heritage.
My apologies for forgetting to clean the barbecue :-(
Owners available and of a great kindness.
    Thank you

  • Wonderful place ;)

  • A grandiose stay full of history in the company of Habia and his family. A magnificent setting, quiet, splendid!
Total change of scenery! We could feel like marquis or musketeer of the king the time of a stay!
Habia and his family were very pleasant, very welcoming and very attentive!
    We recommend without hesitation!

  • I spent a very good stay, two nights in a tent and three days on a motorcycle in this beautiful region. The castle, the park, everything is beautiful. But most of all I want to mention the great hospitality I encountered. I learned a lot about the history of the castle and the hard work to get everything in shape. Very good breakfast too... Thank you very much!

  • Impossible to be disappointed, it is a sure value with a welcome and a setting that will not leave you indifferent... Often disappointed by camping and even more by Airbnb-type summer rentals, here is a formula that these people embody perfectly, where conviviality combines sympathy and well-being. It is a clever mix of sharing a moment that we were looking for and that Hadia, her family and their place offered us and we thank them again...
    I strongly recommend

  • They are very nice and welcoming people. We spent a very relaxing week in a very pleasant place full of history that they told us with pleasure. A big tip of the hat to these parents who did a great job to restore the domain. Thank you again for this superb stay and we are ready to come back in the next few years.

  • Great welcome by Hadia and her lovely family. Our host welcomed us as friends and shared with us the magnificent history of his domain. Thank you for your kindness and your unfailing hospitality. Your place of life is just magical ! Go there with your eyes closed!

  • We were delighted with our short but very pleasant stay.
It's simple, we are so captivated by this place, impossible to go elsewhere.
    We felt so good.
The space! the greenery, the trees, some of them hundred years old, filled with soothing energy, the animals (chickens, rooster, sheep...)
The kindness and benevolence of Hedia (the owner of the place) overcomes everything :-)
We intend to come back and more than once for sure.

  • Very pleasant stay in the domain. We made some nice encounters. Hadia and her family are very welcoming, warm and accommodating!
The castle and the domain are beautiful and we could enjoy the calm and the very well maintained park. We had at our disposal a gas stove, a fridge and very clean toilets.
We also recommend you to try the famous cookies and cuckoo clocks of the grandmother. Excellent!

    Toulay and Nicolas

  • Excellent stay at Chateau DMS Debah!
We spent 2 nights and 3 days there from 03 to 05 August 2019 and we were delighted.
Firstly because the hosts welcomed us like friends. We felt at home.
As for the Domaine, it is very beautiful and pleasant where silence reigns supreme. Only the sounds of nature can be heard.
The breakfast with homemade jams and fruits from the garden is really the best.
Small bonus, the castle and its domain have sheltered a long time ago a vacation camp. So for those who, like me, were there during their childhood, nostalgia has its little effect and it was for me the opportunity to share (and to remember) memories and anecdotes with the new owners.
We will repeat the experience but this time, we will stay longer in order to visit a little more the surroundings.
If you are looking for peace and quiet and a place to recharge your batteries, with warm hosts, the castle and its domain are made for you.

  • Hadia welcomed us very warmly and told us the great history of her castle and the anecdotes that surround it.
I strongly recommend to everyone to pitch a tent in the large shady park under the shelter of the castle that Hadia is gradually restoring.
