Description

Here you will be in calm and in contact with the forest as well as the river and the animals. Not far from there, great climbing routes are accessible at the foot of the cliff.
You can also stroll and have a drink at Cantobre or Nant as well as at the "guingette", the small bistro at the water's edge.

The setting

Many tourist sites (caves, chasms, cirque of Navacelle, ...) will be offered to you at less than one hour by car.
Be careful, small and narrow bridge to cross, width of 2,35 meters.

The spots

The places are vast and numerous, in the sun or under the trees, close or not to the river, you will inevitably find yours.

The sanitary facilities

We no longer have dry toilets or showers.

The amenities

A large refrigerator is at your disposal as well as plugs to connect your devices (cooler, chargers...)

The activities

Cycling, climbing, hiking and running on the trail circuits are marked out from the campsite.
Canoeing or kayaking, paragliding, canyoning can be discovered through the different "leisure bases" or by your own means.

Other things

We do not accept animals.

  • Very good reception and perfect place to relax and rest. I will come back without hesitation!

  • The stay was good but the reception was disappointing, no communication, frankly I would not come back anymore

  • We had a great time. Disorientation with the appointment. We loved to wash in the river. Great experience.

  • I recommend it a thousand times!
Fred has a huge property with access to the river and remote camping areas. We are not on top of each other and it's great!
Plus: Fred is very nice and his bistro on the water is great.

  • Great places, conducive to rest. Beautiful corners to place the tent in the shade. River right next to it. We spent 4 great days

  • Very nice stay in the water. Thanks fred !

  • Great stay at Fred's. The place is magical!

  • beautiful nature place for wild camping!

  • Super spot!!!! We had a great week!

  • What an experience!
We were able to disconnect from our comfort, our worries, our daily life. The 7 of us (2 adults, 5 children) found unsuspected resources of adaptation!
Thank you Fred for your welcome, your simplicity.
We will certainly do it again!
    Harold and company

  • An exceptional stay, a magical nature, a beautiful meeting with Fred. Our little 4 year old boy didn't want to leave anymore!
Thanks again Fred and good luck !

  • Arriving in the early evening, I had to pinch my arm to be sure I had not arrived in paradise.
Welcomed by Fred, he will show you a place to put your tent, make a campfire, wash in the river...
2 days/nights of pure nature in a quiet place. Spartan comfort but the watch stops the time of your stay.
To recommend to the amateurs of simplicity.

  • It's a beautiful place, preserved nature and absolute calm! It's heartwarming to see how Fred and his partner love their animals, who live in true freedom. A must do again!

  • INCREDIBLE environment !!!! MAGNIFICENT!!!

  • Top host, magnificent grounds and setting. A very pleasant campsite as good as we expected!

  • The place is charming like the hosts who propose in addition a delicious home cooking in the guinguette. A stopover like in a postcard.

  • Completely cut off from the world, we spent a moment out of time, even if the terrain is not easy to access.

  • We spent the week driving up the Tarn gorges in the northern Auvergne. We arrived at Fred's for our first night of camping. A magnificent property on 26 hectares with a river and a small house bistro. We only regret the lack of communication towards the toilets and shower closed because of Coronavirus.

  • Only one night on site but a magnificent setting. The only thing missing was the showers and toilets because of this covid19 period. We also had a hard time finding the place. If Fred hadn't contacted us we would have had to go wild camping. The place is beautiful.

  • We had a great time at Fred's site! It's very nice to have a stream near the pitches
We had the visit of the donkeys which are adorable, you can think to take a cord to delimit your corner of paradise so that the cohabitation with the donkeys is all the more pleasant
The nature lovers will be satisfied!
Good continuation to you and see you soon we hope :)

  • Great place
    From the bivouac ????
    We loved it.

  • It was a real Paradise at Fred's land. The bistrot is also AMAZING. Thank you Fred for the amazing time!

  • Alas, despite a phone call to specify our arrival by camper, Fred simply told us that we were not the first. The road leading to the site is very narrow, the trees overhang very widely and the height is very limited. As he didn't want to cut them, my wife used the broom to pull up the branches... Finally we arrived at a small bridge which is smaller than the width of the motorhome (2,35m). Unhitching the trailer, turning the camper around (which is 6,5m). The character is obnoxious and partly reimbursed us the amount taken. Same galley to find the main road. It is a pity that all the necessary information is not given at the time of contact. It was our 1st outing with the motorhome. Fortunately, there are other more friendly people.

  • Hello,
We spent 6 days on Fred's land with my partner and our daughter this late August.

Fred and his half were very helpful and also offered to provide the food (bistro at the water's edge). The salmon and homemade sorbets are divine.

Horses, ewes, rams and chickens give rhythm to the daily life and enchant the children.
The nature is wild and offers an incredible diversity. From sunrise to sunset, it is a spectacle that is offered to you. Superb!

Well being and rest in a magnificent region, we will come back!

Thanks again to both of you,
    Yannis.

  • Nothing to say, beautiful setting, quality welcome! Fred with the small care for us! A superb stay! We will come back

  • A real little corner of paradise on the banks of the Dourbie, hidden in the middle of the causses. All the pleasures of wild camping (quiet corners, small fires...) with the minimum comfort (dry toilets, garden shower). Magnificent landscapes, climbing paths, beautiful hikes at each start of a small road and especially great encounters.
In the evening, the owners run the Bistrot sur l'eau. A small bar/resto/guinguette. One eats there generously of great fresh and local products very well cooked.
Big favorite. See you next summer!

  • We loved our stay at Fred's,
With a van, Fred let us settle on a plot of land in the shade of the trees. The program included relaxing, swimming in the river, visiting the surrounding villages, hiking and stargazing.
The dry toilets were very well maintained and the shower cold but invigorating!
    We recommend it!

  • Very good stay, very happy with the reception and the location, very beautiful views and great villages perched in the void. We recommend for you, for a change of scenery.

  • a great place with direct access to the river to take a dip, hike departures and very welcoming hosts! and especially no giant slides ... thank you again to Fred and Mauricette

  • Five nights on the field of Fred and Mauricette both very warm, we will return!

  • The description corresponds to reality. A tap at the end of a flexible pipe, a shower connected to the same tap, dry toilets, electricity... All very rudimentary for my taste... And two large dogs running free on the site, one of which attacked me and bit me... I shortened my stay which will remain a very bad memory.

  • Very friendly welcome, enchanting setting, ideal to recharge your batteries
