Description

Plot in the urban area of a typical village of Rioja Alavesa, with an architecture of narrow and winding streets, with a landscape surrounded by the main crop: THE VINE, with the charm of a small town (less than 1,000 inhabitants) and with a very unique attraction based on different cultural, scenic, gastronomic, adventure options...

A place to come to rest and enjoy, just let yourself be carried away by its rhythms, environment and customs, living every moment.

Very well connected, just 15 minutes from Logroño (Capital of LA RIOJA) and 7 minutes from Laguardia (Capital of the Cuadrilla de Rioja Alavesa), with stores, restaurants and leisure centers for all tastes.

The setting

The plot is sparsely vegetated so as not to interfere with its usefulness, however it has vines on one side, three fig trees and some garden plants.

The environment is quiet and peaceful, very close to the village church and well connected to reach the center in two minutes walk.

The spots

The soil is grass on the ground (ask for photos of the current state), has good drainage, without stones to nail the shots well. It has shade from the adjoining buildings and the trees it shelters.

The ground is completely flat and it is possible to choose where to camp on the 550 meters it has.

The views are very nice towards the valley that goes down to the river from the top of the village (the photo on the cover is from the GR99 route arriving to the village from Logroño).

At the moment the height of access is limited, we are working on it, but it must be taken into account. It is accessed through a gate with two folding leaves, which leads to the plot through a ramp (it is important to assess the slope).

The sanitary facilities

The plot is equipped with cold water, hot water installation is not yet available (it is planned). There is no toilet or shower (pending subject).

The opening hours are very simple, calling by phone you have the possibility to meet whenever you want. Of course, the reservation must always be made through the HOMECAMPER portal, respecting the rules.

The amenities

The plot has good coverage for the use of cell phones with internet services.

It has a barbecue with grills for use with charcoal, always being careful of the risk of fire.

The activities

It is very interesting to learn about the particular wineries in the area, small and traditional, which produce very high quality wines capable of competing in the best competitions and tastings to win well-deserved gold medals.

In addition to wine and its culture, there is a growing world of local olive oil and honey, both of which have very unique characteristics in this area.

The landscape is very interesting and exclusive allowing gentle walks and enjoy the same, its tranquility and spaciousness.

We continue with the Ebro river, its flow allows activities such as kayaking, swimming, and of course fishing (carp, barbel, trout...).

Other things

The proximity to the medieval town of Laguardia makes this place even more interesting, since from here we can go out to see the region with the guarantee that we will return to rest in a quiet and peaceful place.

In addition, the proximity to the city of Logroño allows you to have all the services offered by the capital of La Rioja at your disposal.

Rules

There are no rules if there are no neighbors, but if there are neighbors we clearly have to respect their welfare as we want them to respect ours... that's all that needs to be said about it.

Tent ready

We have three tent trolleys and several igloo tents for four people, of different sizes with additional supplement per night (tent trolley +30€, medium igloo +8€).

The tent tents have two rooms with a 1.5m wide bed and a central living room with table and benches, with a porch and a porch (about 28 square meters). They are also equipped with a kitchen module with three gas burners, sink, cupboards and a drawer. They are certainly a very comfortable and safe option because they clean and disinfect much better than a tent.

  • The place to camp was part of a small and very Spanish village which we loved. For a short while we became part of its life and community. We enjoyed its atmosphere, and lovely wine. Alvaro could not have been more helpful or friendly, telling us of place to eat in response to a quick text. We did not stay long, but it will always be memorable, which we value highly - as tourists we belonged to Spain - how fantastic!

  • We changed our itinerary at the last minute, so I can't leave any overall assessment other than perfect communication with Alvaro???? Looking forward to seeing you in person!

  • Thank you for your warm welcome. The large, flat, enclosed plot is ideal for overnight tents, with access to a drinking water supply, surrounded by vineyards and fig trees, and overlooking the Rioja. In La Puebla de Labarca and the surrounding towns, you'll find plenty of good food and inexpensive lunches. Located in the heart of the village, access to the site isn't super convenient for our little truck, but it's still passable (vehicle to be parked outside the site); and there's a permanent clock all night long: the church chimes every quarter of an hour, including at night. Suggestion: the installation of toilets (dry ones, for example) would be a plus. An excellent stopover between France and Portugal.
