Description

The yurt is close to the PUY DU FOU (20min by car).

You will appreciate my accommodation for the calm it offers and the omnipresent nature all around.
You will like its equipment (electricity, heating, WiFi, private bathroom) and its location in the middle of nature, in the heart of a wood and at the same time so close to the city and exciting tourist sites.
My accommodation is perfect for couples, solo travelers, families (with children).
In the park of my guesthouse you will find 3 adorable dwarf goats that maintain the hillsides and are very curious, dwarf chickens and laying hens, various parakeets.
There is also a vegetable garden and an orchard, as well as a whole part of wild wood where a natural fauna thrives in all tranquillity.
Reservation for a minimum of TWO NIGHTS.

The setting

The guest house and its real mongolian yurt are in a wooded domain of 1,5Ha in hillsides, above the river Sèvre Nantaise.
The whole valley, including Les Beaux Chênes, is classified as a "natural zone".
There are no neighbors within 600m.
The natural fauna is king in these places.
Squirrels, roe deer are discreet, but they are there. Dragonflies, damselflies, butterflies, and multiple birds enchant the day with their presence.

The spots

It is a real Mongolian yurt, imported and handmade on site in Ulaanbaatar.
Almost exclusively made of natural materials (wood, sheep wool, horse hair, cotton,...), it offers a total change of scenery by its round shape, and its profusion of wood and natural smells.
Spending a night in it is spending a night in the heart of nature, with the comfort and reassurance of a closed accommodation.

The sanitary facilities

The toilets are individual.
They are about 20m from the yurt, in my house, but with an outside access.
You are therefore totally free to use them independently. (sink, toilet, shower, towel dryer, hot water of course).

The amenities

The yurt is equipped with a double bed (160*200), a pull-out bed (80*200 or 160/200), and if needed an extra folding bed (baby bed, or 80*190 bed).
Comforters and pillows are provided. (Sheets and towels are optional: 5€/person/stay).
It includes a coffee table, stools, trash can, WIFI, light, electricity, and electric heating if needed.
Outdoor garden table, deck chair.
There is NO kitchen.
But a small barbecue is available on request (in compliance with safety regulations).

The activities

The setting invites you to relax, to read in peace and quiet under the song of the birds, to walk and hike (on horseback or by bike) along the river below (GR, Vendée-Vélo at the bottom of the domain, equestrian center nearby).

The surroundings offer a wide range of possibilities (accessible by car):

- Castles of Tiffauges (Bluebeard), St Mesmin, Clisson, and the dungeons of Bazoges, or Pouzauges,...

- History of the Vendée Wars (Torfou Column, Vendée Memorial, Martyrs Chapel and Logis de la Chabotterie,...)
- Natural areas (Birds city, various lakes and forests, rivers,...)
- Oriental Park of Maulévrier (and its Bonsai show in September)

Other things

Well-stocked grocery store (+ fresh bread from the bakery) 1.5km away, in the next village.

Rules

I will be present at your arrival (the yurt is in the park of my guest house).
I am entirely at the disposal of my guests for any information and in case of need.

Arrivals after 3 pm and departures before 12 am.

Independent access, parking on site.
No smoking in the yurt and the bathroom.
Children are welcome.

Reservation for a minimum of TWO NIGHTS.

Possibility of breakfast (€8 / person)

The breakfast includes:
A hot drink (coffee, tea, herbal tea, chocolate), fresh baguette and pastries from the bakery, homemade jams, local honey, orange juice, seasonal fruit, organic or local yogurt.

    The setting is very nice, the yurt is comfortable, the sanitary facilities not too far away and clean.
    Stéphane is a very welcoming and sympathetic host. He introduced us to his chickens, his goats, and made a small visit of his garden located in the middle of the trees...
    We enjoyed a short walk by the river just a few steps from the house. There are many activities nearby so we didn't have time to enjoy everything.
    Maybe next time?
