Laundry will have designated area to hang to dry.
We rent our personal Beach Hut.

The setting

Salinas Grandes beach is located 25km from Leon.
It is a less frequented beach compared to it's sister beach Las Penitas.
Because it is less frequented you feel as if you have the beach all to yourself.
Both beaches are separated by the nature reserve called Isla Juan Venado.
The beach of Salinas Grandes has great waves making it ideal for surfing and boogie boarding.
The beach is also joined by the estuary making it ideal for kayaking, stand up paddle board (SUP), fishing and swimming.
Salinas Grandes has the best mangroves of the reserve !

The spots

Once you get on the road to the beach called Camino Salinas Grandes you will drive 14km to get to our gamping ground.
Once there you will be in a secure surrounding.
You have options as to where you wish to pitch your tent(s).
There will be designated spots for your vehicle(s).

The sanitary facilities

You will have access to a shower and toilets all with running water.
The running water is not drinkable (unless you are a Salinas Grandes native).
Please note that we are on a septic system.
Do not flush any toilet paper, baby diapers nor hygiene products.

The amenities

Electricity is available.
Let us know if you need an extension cord.
Kitchen, BBQ and fridge are available for your use.
Should you want a bonfire our caretaker will get that going for you.
Caretaker stays on property.
Rustic place to eat is just a few feet away.

The activities

Primarily it is a great place to relax.
You can enjoy swimming, kayaking, boogie boarding, surfing, SUPing or just sitting in the dip pool.

Rules

No wild parties.
No loud music.
No drugs! You can smoke in open areas.
Please keep an eye on your pets and children.
It is best to arrive when there is daylight.
Easier to set up and find the place.
Please clean up after yourselves.
Show respect to caretakers and property.

Extras

Possibility of breakfast ($2 / person)

Breakfast you can go to "Comedor Belen" local rustic spot a few feet away.
They probably will offer the usual Nica breakfast of rice and beans, eggs and tortilla.
