Description

Do you prefer the company of Lamas and wild animals to the crowds?
Then you'll love our little caravan. It nestles in the heart of our 7 hectares of meadows, woods and garrigue, sheltered from view, noise and pollution... in the sun in mid-season, in the shade of chestnut trees in the warmer months.
Nearby: wild rivers, medieval villages, hiking trails, climbing sites, paragliding...

The setting

Meadows, chestnut trees, garrigue, 150 meters from all roads and dwellings.
>>> Reserved for stays of 2 nights ... or more.

The spots

From 2010 to 2018, our friends Nadine (guitarist) and Paulo (violinist) toured the villages of the Monts d'Ardèche, with their tractor, this trailer, a band of musician friends and the big top of their "bal itinérant".
Each summer, they played a dozen concerts and travelled over 250 km!
As they age, they continue their adventure at the wheel of a more modern vehicle... and have entrusted us with their caravan so that other "adventurers" can enjoy it too.
This former washerwoman's trailer is light, bright, cheerful and cosy, and as in a tepee, encourages direct contact with the surrounding countryside.
Inside: sleeping area (140 x 190 - not suitable for very tall people!), kitchen area (spring water supply - we also provide a supply of bottled water guaranteed to be drinkable), removable table, lighting + 12V socket, storage lockers.
Outside: snack areas, solar shower, 7 hectares of private grounds.

The sanitary facilities

150 meters from the roulotte: WC + bathroom with free access.

The amenities

In the caravan, everything you need for cooking and eating: hob, crockery, pots and pans, etc...
Lighting + 12-volt USB socket (for charging phones).
In an open-access room next to our house: fridge, freezer, washing machine, WIFI, 220-volt sockets.
For occasional use: board or outdoor games (pétanque, mölkky, Frisbee, etc.) + a mountain bike.

The activities

From May to November, you'll be able to enjoy seasonal produce from our woods: cherries, strawberries, raspberries, plums, figs, apples, blackberries, hazelnuts, grapes, chestnuts, mushrooms... (in free "moderate" harvest) and/or on request, from our garden.
Nearby: a wide range of outdoor activities - rivers for fishing, swimming, hiking for all levels, mountain biking, rock climbing, paragliding, many tourist and heritage sites to visit.
We can provide you with tourist guides and maps of the many local hiking trails.

Other things

>>> Reserved for stays of 2 nights or more.
Bed 2 places 140x190 cm: we provide you with a comforter, pillows & blankets, but you will come with your own bed linen and towels.
Domestic animals (cows, horses, llamas) and wild animals (badgers, wild boars, genets, weasels...) occasionally frequent the surrounding area. They are calm and peaceful, as long as you don't disturb them!
We ask you to leave the premises as clean and tidy as you found them - we'll take care of the washing and tidying up after you've left.
In the event of a significant mess, €30 will be deducted from your deposit to cover the cost of cleaning and tidying up.

Rules

You can smoke outside, but not inside.
No noise after 8pm.
Clean, quiet pets are welcome, provided they are never left alone.
To protect the health of people who are allergic to their fur, cats are not allowed inside the caravan.
We'll be your "closest" neighbors, discreet but always ready to answer our guests' questions.
You'll have everything you need to be self-sufficient... and if you need anything, we'll be happy to help you out.
Mediterranean climate.
Nature and unspoilt landscapes, organic farming, peace and quiet, rejuvenation.
Torrent and rivers for wild-water swimming; grocery store, bakery, bar, post office 3 km away.
The winding road is limited to medium-sized vehicles (less than 8 m long and 2.40 m wide).
