  • In a word: excellent for us! A large plot, clean, well-maintained, well-defined, partly fenced, in the countryside, in the middle of fields and orchards, away from the city without being far from it, flat, easy to access, trees, for us alone, at least out of season. We were in "personal autonomy". Pleasant, peaceful setting. You can walk for miles peacefully in the surrounding area. The Douro Canal is right next door. Communication with our host was excellent, both before and during our stay. A superb location, a haven of peace and quiet, yet relatively close to "civilization" and the main highways, perfectly matching the description and our expectations. We were able to "unleash" our Beauceron and even get to know the property's dogs and cats for a few minutes. Siro picked us up at the "goudron" in the evening on arrival and locked up his dogs so that there would be no worries with our Kékou. Our host was very warm, available, helpful, and at the same time "discreet", he welcomed us, then let us use his property: PERFECT! ;-) Before arriving at his place, we explored (among other things) the magnificent region of the Douro resurgence, Soria, Penafiel... On the way back, we passed through Valladolid, less than 20 km away, and the superb sites of Tordesillas, Toro and Zamora. The salads and peppers we picked up there lasted 15 days. We'll certainly be back one day with great pleasure.
