Description

Welcome to our little paradise at the gateway to Pau.

We look forward to welcoming you with simplicity and conviviality! You'll be the only one in our garden: we want you to feel almost at home!

Enjoy the garden any day of the year.

The setting

The 3000 m² garden is enclosed and secure, so you can make the most of your stay with us. The configuration of the garden will enable you to maintain your privacy.

Fruit and ornamental trees create shady areas in different parts of the garden, so you can relax away from the sun.

We have 3 free-range pullets.

The garden features a saltwater swimming pool, 11m long and between 1.10m and 1.50m deep. It's open all year round but not heated: we can give you tips on how to get into the water easily in winter.

Peace and quiet reign here, even if the garden is close to the ring road.
Shops are 10 minutes from the house, and the bus stop is a 5-minute walk away.
We're close to Pau train station (10 min by car, 25 min on foot).
If you have a car, you can park it here.

We look forward to sharing our time with you! I speak a little English :-)

The spots

The pitch is free. As far as caravans are concerned, I only accept small caravans of the "Eriba Puck" style with dimensions close to 4m long and 1.80m wide.

The sanitary facilities

Toilets and showers are provided by local people (see conditions in other remarks).

Please shower before 11:30 pm and after 6:30 am. For special cases, we can discuss together.

The amenities

Outdoor dining tables and chairs are available free of charge (please leave pitches clean)...

Barbecues are free if you don't use charcoal. Otherwise 2€.

The summer kitchen is accessible only during the summer season, and is self-service, with combined fridge/freezer, microwave, Nespresso machine and dishes to share with us.
The kitchen is included in the package you'll find in the "other remarks" section. Soft drinks and coffee pods are available at extra cost.

Washing machine and tumble dryer are available at an additional charge.

The activities

We offer a number of free activities on our premises: swimming in the pool (see conditions in "other remarks"), darts (on request), relaxation and rest in the garden with a 5/6-seater Jacuzzi Spa at extra cost.

Nearby, you can go hiking in the mountains or on the plain, or head out to the Basque coast for fishing, surfing or simply to cool off in the water.

As a sports organizer, I offer Nordic Walking activities with the loan of poles: a 1-hour outing along the banks of the Gave, and gentle physical activities such as "Pilates for beginners/ Stretching/ Zen Body/ Relaxation" for 1 hour with the loan of equipment. What's more, as a practitioner of well-being and energy massage, I can offer you massages lasting from 30min to 1h: a pure moment of relaxation! For all sports activities and/or massages and/or access to the Spa Jacuzzi: extra charge, please inform me the day before.

Other things

We will agree together on the time of reception, the services offered and the additional rates of your choice:

RATES FOR ACCESS TO EQUIPMENT: to be paid on site and in addition.

Overnight stay in camper (if our WC, shower and summer kitchen are not used): please allow for a supplement of €5/person/night. Electricity and swimming pool are included in this supplement.

Overnight stay in a tent or van not equipped with WC and shower: please allow a supplement of €8/person/night (electricity, water, WC, shower, summer kitchen and swimming pool included in this supplement).

If you are completely autonomous and do not wish to use the comfort and facilities, 3 €/night/person for electricity.

An extension cord is available if required.

Other additional services according to your needs:

Washing machine: €4 with detergent + machine drying possible for an additional €5.

Tent rental (2 places): 22 €/night in addition to the reservation price. Please bring your own mattress and comforter.

Access to Jacuzzi for 40 min (5/6 places): €20 per person, reduced for 2 people or more.

Breakfast: 7€/person (please let me know the day before)

Meal with us: 15€/person (please let me know the day before)

Assiette Béarnaise (Charcuteries and cheeses, homemade bread with local flour) and homemade bread/brioche with a glass of Jurançon (sweet white wine) or Pacherenc (dry wine): 15€/person (let me know the day before).

Possibility of ordering homemade bread (in the morning for the evening): €5 per 800-900g loaf.

Arrival after 5pm (to be agreed together) and departure before 10am.

If you're tired of sleeping in your tent, you can sleep in a room or in a caravan (ask for the rate for 1 night + cleaning costs).

Rules

Be sure to read the ad, which is very complete, especially the "other remarks" paragraph. In fact, what you pay on the site is only the reservation of the pitch, after which you will pay on site for access to comfort, services and amenities (this will avoid you paying too many fees with the platform).

Please respect the cleanliness of the site and its inhabitants, and keep noise down in the garden after 11:30 p.m.

We don't smoke, but we're tolerant as long as home campers are discreet and cigarette butts are disposed of in the garbage can. Smoking and eating in the pool/Spa Jacuzzi area are not permitted!

If you have children, we ask you to be very careful, as the pool is equipped with a submerged cover but no barrier.

Dogs are accepted as long as we discuss it beforehand, as our animals are completely free outside and we want them to live their lives without being too disturbed!

Extras

Possibility of breakfast (€7 / person)

I've been baking bread for over 25 years with flour from Pyrénées Farine in Serre Castet.
For breakfast, there's coffee, tea with or without milk, eggs from our hens, plain yoghurts, jams (bought or homemade), butter, sugar, homemade bread, oranges you can squeeze or fresh fruit to munch and fresh croissants.

We discuss this with you the night before, so that your breakfast gives you a good start to the day! We usually have breakfast with you, unless there's a special request (we know how to adapt to your needs).

Tent ready

A 2-person tent can be lent to you, but you'll have to set it up and take it down yourself (-6 min) and return it clean.

/Bring your mattresses, comforters and flashlight.

  • Valérie agreed to welcome the 6 of us to her little corner of paradise.
We had a great time and a lot of laughs.
We took advantage of her activity and her gifts. She was a great help to one of my friends.
Very human. We still have a lot to talk about.
The only negative point is that she can't accommodate more than 6 people and we'd like to come back even more. It's going to be war! Lol
Everyone in our group was able to find what they were looking for, despite our very different personalities. I personally still have a lot of information and hiking tips to get from François.
    Thanks for everything.

  • Very good location near the trees, swimming pool and summer kitchen nearby.
Shower and toilet to share very easy access.
A very good address and the owners are adorable. P

  • Valerie is very welcoming and received us like kings, do not hesitate to stop by her place.

  • A good stay, Valerie and her husband are welcoming and warm! The location was perfect for my van, access to the outdoor kitchen and the pool is very nice. I will not hesitate to return when I will be visiting again, thank you again!

  • My son and I were very grateful to pitch our tent in Valérie's garden. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. The set-up was very well planned with outdoor kitchen and easy access to shower and toilet in the house, and access to the very nice pool. My trip only allowed us to spend one night but I would definitely return to camp at Valerié's and explore this lovely area of France.

Swimming pool, outdoor kitchen will be quality assets when the weather is good!

  • We had a lovely stay with Valeria and her lovely friendly family. The property was secured by locked gates and doors. We felt very welcomed and enjoyed breakfast with all the family. Francois her husband was very helpful. We had a wonderful and relaxing stay on their property and had originally booked for 1 night but stayed 2, would definitely go back.

  • Extra stay ! With Valerie, François and his little family... A great meeting.

  • Very nice setting with chickens running around in the garden! It will be necessary to arm you however of anti-mosquito!
Valerie and her husband were pleasant and attentive!
A small drawback : we thought that electricity and toilets were included in the price (we'll read better)

  • Go ahead !!! Valerie and François' sense of welcome and common sense made this mini stay a great moment of conviviality. We enjoyed the grounds, the pool, the homemade summer kitchen, the chickens and the cat of course!
