Situation
  • My assessment is based on our (false?) premise that Home-Campers are individuals who host on a very small scale in their own home, in a field.
Here, that's not the case - and we didn't know it. It's a real campground with... I don't know 30 or 40 sites, I'm not sure.
And the sites are often VERY small (there were 6 of us in 3 small tents) with no separation between sites - and many of them are not shaded (some are).
By arriving (rather in state of shock, we thought to be alone there!), we were proposed a site literally too small to put 3 tents (we had reserved however!), another one a little better but nevertheless ugly. We asked for something else, and they put us between 2 chalets: we were almost on the terrace of the chalet! The occupants complained, I understand them but it was not of our fault! Finally the next day, we moved all our camp just in front where we had a little more place but very little shade. And what a work to raise the camp and to go up it! We were there to make a pose...
On the other hand, the swimming pool is great, and the small restaurant/bar setting extremely friendly and familiar, we ate there and it was good at a reasonable price.
The owner (Belgian) is very friendly and warm, she really tried to find solutions for us - but simply many of the pitches are too small, no air between pitches, not always shady. Our youngest children liked it very much; my wife and I were disappointed even though we ended up relaxing and enjoying it.

  • We had a very nice stay here, everything was perfect the hosts, food, facilities, views and sunsets. Would recommend and would stay again
