Description

Pleasant land to pitch your tent or put your caravan (I PRECISE THAT THIS IS A HOUSE WITH PRIVATE LAND, you won't have the comfort of a real camper space), you can discover the Mont St Michel 15 kilometers away.
Less than 1 kilometer away, you'll find all the shops you need, including mine :) "Salad bar, walking, biking, jogging... calm, relaxation, rest assured.

The setting

No traffic, surrounding countryside, fields as far as the eye can see, and pets (dwarf biquettes in a pen and chickens by your side). Pets allowed, but please respect other campers, and if you're staying with a local, pets are not allowed (at €25 per night).

The spots

Two separate flat plots to pitch your tents and a space on small pebbles for a separate caravan or to put your cars, shared terrace or only one depending on whether there are several of you, access to electricity, normal socket and water.

The sanitary facilities

Sanitary facilities available
If you really need a shower at the home, we can arrange it for you, provided you leave the house clean and don't overuse the water.
Outside tap accessible 24 hours a day + electric socket + freezer access if needed for ice blocks (please ask me)

The amenities

Internet available, depending on range and location.
External power socket for vans or telephone charging (not to be abused given the rise in electricity contracts) if long stay, we look at consumption together and see :)

The activities

On-site: walking, jogging, hiking and horse-riding less than 2 km away,
Games: shuffleboard, soccer, kite flying, etc. on the grounds.
Located 15 km from Mont St Michel, 65 km from Saint Malo and 120 km from the D-Day landing beaches.
Tricot factory in St James and American cemetery.
May 25 to 27, 2024 "80 years of D-Day" with the "Tattoo" show on June 6-7-8, and many other events from June to September in our beautiful commune of Saint James.

Other things

Courtesy, respect for everyone, friendliness, sociability, sharing, ZEN relaxation camping.
Breakfast (7.00€) on request the day before, as well as evening meal (15€ per person - galette saucisse or, depending on the weather, full galette + local drink or barbecue with grilled camembert + marshmallows for children).
Possibility of stopping by my "salad'thé" shop for teas, herbal teas, salad bars, aperitif boards, regional products ... all to bring back souvenirs in your luggage :)

Rules

Arrive when you like, with confirmation by phone at least the day before
Free access for everyone through gate
Smokers welcome, provided they respect the rules of cleanliness on the terrace only (smoking away from pets).
Pets welcome, but please respect the yard and lawn for the needs of your loved ones.
I have two teenagers who, like me, work in 2 other businesses in St James (shifted hours from morning to evening) but we'll be happy to welcome you and/or prepare breakfast for you or share a barbecue.

Extras

Possibility of breakfast (€7 / person)

Brioche, bread, jams, honey, pastries (on request), teas, infusions, Rooibos (also with Thé d'Hier), coffees, homemade orange juice, fruit in season, dairy products.

Situation
  • 10 minutes from mont saint michel, a very pleasant stay surrounded by animals

  • Not bad, cold shower not expensive. 2e she made me discount at 1e

  • Quiet, relaxing space in the middle of nature, access not suitable for everyone and too close to the house. Very welcoming host

  • My companion and I spent two nights at Elodie's... A very welcoming, caring host with a great sense of humor! Who cares about your well-being... We really felt like we were visiting a friend.
Maybe we'll see you soon, Elodie! With great pleasure!!! Ludo & Marie

  • Very friendly and helpful host, I recommend!

  • Host very available by phone, received by tenant. Not adapted for CC, rather for campers because we could not connect to the electricity and the parking is in the private alley in slope. 33€00 for 1 night for 2 adults and 2 children... 3x more expensive than in the campsite for CC where we went afterwards. + 5€ for water and a washing machine. Nice but way too expensive considering the place

  • Nice place to pitch your tent. Tenant concerned about your well being.
    Clean. I will certainly return.

  • Very good welcome!!! very good exchange I recommend ;-)

  • pleasant stay in a quiet place near his gite.
we tested our van for the first time.
    first time.
    successful week end

  • A big thank you to Élodie who allowed us to take a shower at her place the night of our arrival and who allowed us to have our dinner in the warmth before going to sleep in our mini-van.
    I highly recommend her.

  • It's a pity that the owners were not present at the reception, we were alone, good setting, for one night it's enough, price a little high, certainly the Mont Saint Michel is 20km away but from the camp no view on it.

  • Our stay was short but it went very well. Elodie's children were helpful and very welcoming. A big thank you!

  • Simple and nice, especially for tents!

  • Ideal for stays under canvas, my appreciation is for this choice of stay.

For van and camper, it's just a place to spend the night near the touristic place of Mont-Saint-Michel.

The family is very welcoming and caring.

  • No interest at all just to stop for a break on the road.
The land is not very well maintained and the campers have to park right in front of the house. The showers and toilets are at the inhabitant. Only the children are there to welcome us. For the tents this place is perhaps more appropriate.

  • Great welcome!

  • A very nice and courageous person

  • Warm and friendly welcome! We had a very pleasant evening!

  • Our two nights here went very well! Although Elodie was not present, she knew how to guide us and was very kind and helpful. I recommend without hesitation

  • Top welcome, complete breakfast & good advice to visit the surroundings! I highly recommend a stay at Elodie's

  • Very pleasant place with all the conveniences.
Elodie is very friendly and welcoming!
    Great breakfast!

  • Great host! Very friendly and helpful! The hot chocolate was very good!!!

  • Elodie is a welcoming and energetic host. We were able to park our vehicle on a place on the side of the road outside the fence (road not very busy and quiet night). We were able to have access to the shower and the toilets at the inhabitant's house. The shower is on the floor. On the other hand there was no independent dry toilet nor independent solar shower as indicated on the advertisement. The location is ideal to visit the Mont Saint-Michel (20min by car).

  • Very pleasant stay with my dog. It was my first time camping with a local and I was not disappointed. Quiet and very pleasant site in the middle of the countryside. Very copious breakfast. I thank Elodie and her children for their welcome and I think I would go back.

  • Thank you for your welcome and your dynamism whatever happens!
    Have a good trip
