Description

The village of Ramous is located halfway between the mountains of the Pyrenees and the beaches of the Landes and the Basque Country.
It is a convenient stopover in your discovery of the region, we offer spartan but functional accommodation.

The setting

Located in the countryside, our little house was built in stone in the 1900's on a 4000 m2 plot of land on the banks of a stream, surrounded by corn fields and acacia forest.
The old national road called "Route Impériale" runs along the house in the direction of Orthez, it is a bit noisy during the day, but quiet in the evening.
Not far from the A64 freeway, the town of Hendaye on the Spanish border is one hour away from the house.

The spots

The pitches are located in the meadow.
The land is flat and not fenced, some young trees provide shade.
Electricity is not available on the pitches.
Only telephones can be connected in the common area. To connect a bike, a cooler, a minivan and other appliances, we ask for a supplement.

The sanitary facilities

A small extension behind the house houses the sanitary facilities.

The amenities

In the common area, there is a toilet, a shower and a sink for washing dishes.
A straw hut is also available in the garden for picnics.
No equipped kitchen, no fridge, no freezer, no internet and no camping table on the site.

The activities

Near the house you can swim in the lakes and gaves, hike, kayak down the rivers, go to Spain and enjoy the beaches of the Landes and the Basque Country.

Other things

We ask you to pay special attention to the silence of the place and the connection to nature.

Rules

Our homecamper is not suitable for groups who want to get drunk and party. We spend our vacations on site in our house near you. We would like to keep the place quiet especially in the evening and early morning. No more noise after 11 pm.

No cooking or food storage facilities, campers must be self-sufficient.

We do provide laptop power in the common area, but no more. Any additional electrical hookups will be subject to our prior approval and will be charged in addition to your stay. No electrical hookups available at the tent sites.

Smoking is only allowed outside.

A compost bin is available for organic waste. We will take care of your glass containers.

    - No maintenance of the oil tank (empty oil tank), so cold shower during 3 days
    - The host allows himself to touch our personal belongings and to move them under the pretext that he is careful with the electricity
