Description

Hello campers,

We are starting to welcome campers at the farm.
The land is a field being developed for maximum comfort in camping mode.
Maximum 4 persons.
The meadow is located at the back of the farmhouse.
Below, there is a meadow with cows and you can listen to the pheasants singing in the morning.
The meadow is fenced and its access is through the family vegetable garden.
There is a fire pit and some facilities for roasting marshmallows in the evening.
There is no light pollution, which is extraordinary for those who wish to get lost in the (email hidden)Dogs are accepted only if they are happy to have two playmates (Ozzy and Rusty) who will be happy to welcome them.

The setting

We are located in a small village typical of the Ardennes condroz.
The site is in a small meadow behind a farm/chapel.
The farm is no longer in activity but you can see that it is still surrounded by fields, cows and agricultural activities.
We are the last farm in the village and so there is no noise (except the birds' caw, the foxes' cry, the pheasant's field and the cows' meumeu).
There is no light pollution and the access to WIFI or 4g is extremely low.
We are in a green zone (and yes there are still some ;-) )

The spots

For the location, you have a choice.
There is no shaded area.
We are not for intensive mowing so this meadow is wild and rustic.
THE AREA IS NOT ACCESSIBLE BY VEHICLE.

The sanitary facilities

The sanitary facilities are accessible at reasonable hours (as long as the house is not asleep) from 6am to 10pm.
They consist of a bathtub, a toilet and a washbasin in the house.
To be disinfected by your care after each passage.

The amenities

For the facilities:
- wifi is available near the house (really close) weak signal.
- the kitchen is available during the hours when the house is accessible and consists of a gas stove, microwave oven, toaster. Cutlery, plates, glasses are also at your disposal.
A table is at your disposal as well as a barbecue.
- Electricity can be provided to you by an electric extension cord outside (if no rain) otherwise you will find it inside the house.

The activities

For activities, you will find many in the area.

We are located on the path of the artists' trails regrouping almost 140 km through various villages (leaflets available or via the site parcours d'artiste).
We are also located a few kilometers from the mini town of Durbuy, the smallest town in Belgium.
From the Ourthe river where you can discover hiking, kayaks, adventure course ...
At 3 km there is a golf course (Méan)
The farm is located at the three borders (Liège, Namur and Luxemburg) where you can discover a lot of little things.

Other things

We would like to say that here live two dogs, they are nice marshmallows. They may bark and come to say hello when you arrive.
No we will not lock them in a room and we do not accept disrespectful gestures towards them, they are our family and I think it was important to stipulate this before meeting a bad experience again. :-)

Please respect what we put at your disposal:
We reserve the right to ask for a refund if the material provided to you has been trashed or broken. Let's not forget that this is for everyone.

Respect:
The grounds and garden are not a dumping ground and the cleanliness of the one put at your disposal must be clean and free of garbage when you leave it. If you want a garbage bag, just ask for it and a compost is available. ???? Be careful with fires in the field if it is not done in the area made for this purpose.

Respect the animals:
Dogs, cats, cows and chickens are not toys.
Do not give them anything to eat.

Stay up late for everyone:
There really is no curfew, as long as you respect other people and the quiet of this place after dark.
We reserve the right to say STOP if this is not respected.

Access to the house (kitchen, bathroom) is available, but please announce yourself when you want to use it.

And ultra important: smile and good mood are absolutely mandatory in these places ;-)

Extras

Possibility of breakfast (€6 / person)

For your breakfast, we can prepare toast, eggs (fresh from the hens), pancake or French toast, coffee or tea and some homemade jam.

Tent ready

We can provide you with a tent for 2 people and two cots. For a fee of 5€ on site.

Outstanding

  • First experience for us in homecamping, as well as for Lise as a host.
    And I think it exceeded our expectations on both sides.
    The site is nice, with a view on the cows (BBB...). Lise is very caring and considerate. Her dandelion honey and the caramel cream with Guérande salt are delicious on the bread in the morning...
    She also provided us with an old stable to secure our bikes.
