Description

Location in a quiet hamlet.
Morning birdsong and starry sky without light pollution guaranteed!
Covered garage available for shelter in case of bad weather.
I only welcome one family or group of friends at a time so that each one can enjoy the calm and serenity of the place.
Thus, the sanitary facilities are entirely for you and your family/friends.
Ideal in these times when sanitary measures are to be recommended.

You will be welcomed at Suzanne's, my mother, a true native ardechean!
She will be able to show you typical places in the area.
Living several kilometers away, I can be reached by phone at any time, and can welcome you myself if the schedule allows it.

The setting

The hamlet is located at the end of the communal road.
There is therefore very little traffic.
You will have a view on a large meadow, lined with trees, with the Ardèche hills in the background.
The setting is very calm.
A few meters away, there is a forest of oaks, which shelters many cicadas.
The latter can be very noisy for some during the day, but fall (email hidden)Then comes the song of the tawny owl and the crickets.
At night, without municipal lighting, and clear, the land allows an incredible view of the sky. A paradise for astronomy enthusiasts
Depending on the season, it is possible to observe shooting stars.

The spots

There is the possibility to park a vehicle, van or camper in front of the studio.
It is accessible to all types of vehicles.
The studio is 35 m², the toilets are independent. It is a stone vault which allows to keep the natural freshness.
It is fully equipped:
Microwave, gas hob, fridge, dishes, kitchen utensils

The sanitary facilities

It is possible to access the bathroom from inside the studio, but also from outside. This allows you to share them without embarrassment if you come with a large family or group of friends.
For their maintenance material (sponges, broom etc...) is provided.
The sanitary facilities consist of a shower, a sink and a toilet.
They are independent, installed in a vaulted stone cellar.
There is hot water, however the balloon is small, so try not to spend more time than necessary in the shower :-)

The amenities

There is the possibility to connect extension cords outside for campers and vans. We can lend you an extension cord.
An outdoor water access with a long hose is also available.

The southern Ardèche is full of outdoor activities.

The village of Les Vans with many bars and restaurants is 5 km away.
There are also 3 supermarkets and all useful shops: tobacco, newspapers, bakery, souvenirs etc.

Markets are less than 6 km away:
Les Vans Saturday morning
Joyeuse Wednesday morning
Lablachère Sunday morning

In summer, night markets take place in Les Vans and Joyeuse. Days and times to be seen according to season.

Rules

The basic rules of any group living are of course to be respected:
No excessive noise
No throwing of rubbish on the ground. Garbage cans are located nearby.

Smokers are accepted as long as no cigarette butts are thrown on the ground.
We are in a particularly dry region, the danger of fire is real.
