Description

Hello !
Please ,read ALL our description before contacting me!

We'll be delighted to welcome you to our little ecolieu for the pleasure of meeting people, for a minimum of two nights. If you'd like to stop over for a night, we can welcome you on a plot of land 2km from our house, if you're prepared to take the water and showers in a house 300m away, where you'll have access to a private kitchen. This year, we can also offer you the possibility of spending the night in an old house currently being renovated (so it's not a gite...), if you're arriving late, if you're traveling by bike and need a laundry break or for any other reason! The place is a little rustic but it has the charm of these old houses, and its 3 bedrooms have very good beds (in all, 2 beds of 140, one of 160, one of 120 and one of 90).
The price per person is indicative, and if it's an obstacle to your arrival, we'll find a solution!
Priority to families, because there's no shortage of children here!
The place is ideal for them, with plenty of room to roam, but their games may not be suitable if you're looking for a lot of silence...
If things are going well and we're available, we can share meals, with everyone bringing what they want - the table is big!
We have 2 children aged 9 to 11 and a half, a large vegetable garden and lots of free-ranging animals.
We can accommodate your pets, provided they don't chase our cats, chickens and horses.
Hay and pasture available for your horses!
Depending on your vehicle, you will be welcomed in our courtyard, or in the meadow below the house.
Please note that you will be arriving at a deliberately SIMPLE place to live, in the countryside!

The setting

This is the beautiful Limousin countryside, green and a little undulating.
Our place is in a hamlet of 20 people, and 250 cows.
Peace and quiet are guaranteed (except for the children's games)!
No road noise, and the nights are beautiful, with (phone number hidden)light pollution.
You can even sleep under the stars.

The spots

We can accommodate a caravan or other vehicle in the courtyard, and the 2000 m² meadow is available (or only part of it if our horses graze there) (the pleasure of camping with them! or almost).
You'll be in the shade for most of the day, on flat ground.

The sanitary facilities

We have our own dry toilets, which we also use.
With regard to our sanitation, please bring eco-friendly products for showering and washing up.
Please note that we are not a campsite, but a family who welcomes you, as they would friends, for the pleasure of meeting you.
So please feel free to treat our place a little like your own, and if we personally take care of the disposal of the toilet buckets, I'd be grateful if you could contribute to the upkeep of the premises (put a sponge behind you in the sink, sweep up the toilet if the sawdust has spread a little, etc.), as there can be quite a few of us for family sanitary facilities and not for the community.
You will also note that our kitchen is not at your disposal, and that you will have to take precautions to preserve and cook your food.
Dishes will no longer be washed in our kitchen, but the courtyard is equipped with a permanently accessible water point where you can fill your bottles and jerry cans.

The amenities

There is a telephone network, for most operators.
No wifi available, but internet access at the village post office.
You'll be able to charge appliances here, and if you need to plug in, you'll be installed in our courtyard.
Please bring your own extension cord.
We may offer to share our meals with you, but unless you let us know beforehand, please bring your own cooking equipment, as sometimes our availability is more limited than at other times.
We're still working on the house.
Life, that is. In fact, if we discuss it beforehand, we'll be able to clarify things very simply and find solutions.
If you go to this beautiful one-hectare plot 2 km from the house, you'll have access to a fully-equipped, private shower and kitchen 300m away.

The activities

If the ages are right (in this case, 9 and 11), the children will surely enjoy playing together, and there's no shortage of facilities.
But your children will of course remain under your responsibility at all times.
In the vicinity, there are many beautiful walks, a pond with an observation post, a lake for walks and pedal-boating, and a lakeside swimming pool.
We'll lend you bicycles if you like pedaling, and we'll take you to discover our secret spots if you like...
On foot, there's a little meadow by the stream...and just 3/4 of an hour away, you've got Limoges and so many beautiful things to discover!

Other things

If you're looking for a classic welcome at a classic venue, we're sorry to say you won't find what you're looking for in our proposal.
After all, this isn't the Amazon either, is it?

Rules

We ask you to leave absolutely nothing lying around (especially cigarette butts).
Remember to bring ecological products for washing dishes and body care, and a basin for your dishes.
Your pets are welcome, as long as they respect the calm and safety of our children and animals, who live freely on the site (including rabbits and guinea pigs).
Even if we don't come to check it, please don't consume drugs or alcohol in quantity.
Unless otherwise agreed, the communal areas are the toilets and bathroom (in the house), and the meadow.
They are non-smoking.
Unless otherwise agreed, we expect you to arrive at 5:30 pm and to leave before noon.
Thank you for your trust and understanding! We look forward to welcoming you!

Extras

Possibility of breakfast (€8 / person)

A small basket will include, depending on the day, homemade bread, pitta or pancakes, hot water in which you put one of our herbal teas, tea or coffee, and homemade jam served with salted butter.
We can offer a gluten-free or lactose-free version (at 10 euros).
Leftovers can be served as a snack, perhaps, as the slices are generous.

Tent ready

We can lend you a small two-seater tent with a large inflatable mattress or a 120 foam mattress, or even a very comfortable 90!
We can also arrange for you to spend the night in an old house that is currently being renovated, but please note that it does not have the comforts of a gite! There are 3 bedrooms, a beautiful exterior and a ballroom among other things, so it's big, but not yet finished.

  • We spent 2 nights as a stopover on the vacation route, one at the alley where we camped in the garden of the village house with access to the kitchen and toilets. And a second where we should have camped in Jennyfer's meadow. But a problem on the road made us arrive very late and Jennyfer was very compassionate and kind, she did everything to make us feel comfortable, thank you again!

Nothing more to say, we'll be repeating the experience every time we go down to Bordeaux!

  • Super :
I was looking for calm and nature , I was served .
A tobacconist also sells eggs and bread 5 minutes walk away.

  • Thank you for the story and the trust.
We were able to make a very comfortable stopover with our children on the way back from vacation. The place (a house under construction in the village) was very quiet, with sanitary facilities, a kitchen, a garden, games and books.

  • Hello,
We stayed at Jennifer's house with 3 friends. Despite our late arrival, Jennifer made sure we could stay in her house. We were just passing through and were able to take advantage of the beds and amenities to get back in shape and back on the road :)
    Thanks again

  • Great welcome, beautiful meeting, thank you for the generosity, the sharing and the festive evening at the Bridiers show! A little corner of paradise with wonderful people.

  • Very good stay, very pleasant setting, ideal for children. Very welcoming family, available... Laughter, exchanges, kindness... We look forward to returning.

  • Jennifer rented us her caravan at the last minute to survive our terrible stormy night, thank you very much, and see you soon!

  • Nice corner of nature and nice welcome.

  • We could not dream better to spend a night during our passage in the Creuse.
Jennifer and her family welcomed us with open arms. Everything was smooth and very pleasant. Thanks again

  • A huge thank you Jennifer for this one night getaway very rich in exciting exchanges! We had a great time and thank you for your warm welcome, your confidence and the experience of your lifestyle that makes you dream. We will come back for sure!

  • Beautiful meadow, flat and shady. Very nice and welcoming people.
The only problem is the hygiene... non-existent! Sanitary facilities (shower, WC) and kitchen very very dirty... dry toilets are absolutely not a problem... when they are clean.
I want to point this out in a constructive way. And on the other hand I would like to salute the great kindness of the owners...

  • It was very good. The children played together. Lots of animals and a quiet meadow.

  • The house of happiness !!!!
We met extremely nice people and the kids had a blast!
    Thank you for everything

  • Great welcome, charming and very welcoming hosts. Perfect flat location for tents.
    To discover.
