Description

In the heart of the Parque Natural do Douro Internacional, come and discover a small rural and sparsely populated village, located 15 km from the Spanish border, in the North East of Portugal.
We provide a tent for up to 4 people (2 double rooms), equipped with double mattresses and bed linen.
The land is located in annex of our house, you will be able to stay in complete autonomy (only the toilets and shower are at the inhabitant's).
The location is ideally situated at the start of the hiking trail to Faia de Água Alta, offering breathtaking landscapes.
During your stay, we are available to advise you on tours and to taste the local products, including the olive oil we produce.
Creative activities are also offered for children and adults.
Breakfast on request.

The setting

Located in a small rural village, you can appreciate the calm, the serenity of the place.
Very little traffic, except the passage of herds, at certain times.
Walks in the village call for meditation. You will be able to meet some inhabitants still present and very welcoming.
Hiking paths are indicated.
In the evening, enjoy the sunset that you can admire from your camp.

The spots

We put at your disposal a tent equipped with comfortable bedding, bed linen and towels.
The ground being independent of the house where WC and shower are at your disposal, you have a true autonomy. A picnic area is reserved for you.
All you have to do is relax and enjoy!

The sanitary facilities

We put at your disposal our WC and shower. Nevertheless, for more independence, a solar shower is at your disposal in the garden.
Accessible from 7am to 10pm.
We provide the necessary toiletries.

  • An exceptional location, large, quiet, with a magnificent view of the valleys and fabulous starry nights!

    Clara does everything to make your stay a total success!

    The showers (solar and at home) are perfect and very clean, the welcome is friendly and warm, the communication perfect and the aperitif allowed us to discover a sublime Port !

    We warmly recommend without reserve because it is an exceptional camping experience!

  • Clara is simply totally welcoming, kind and helpful! An aperitif-snack upon our arrival. She took several moments with us during our stay to go around the tiny place and introduce us to the few locals - also very nice and welcoming (as often in Portugal!)
    We had access to her first floor, a small fridge, toilet and shower and sink.
    Two criticisms: the ground is too small for the 6 of us; I think that 2 to max 4 would be more appropriate.
    And : the ground is not at all shaded. We talked about it with Clara, and I think they will build a pergola or something like that.
    The village is very secluded, small and rural - we kids loved visiting the sheep, the pigs... And as I have already written, the welcome of the villagers and especially Clara (who speaks French) are just perfect. The person and the place will remain in our memories!
