  • Wild camping in beautiful nature only without having to give up the comfort of toilet and shower! Franck is very friendly and open and he obviously cares about this piece of nature.

  • What can I say about Franck and the warmth of his welcome on his beautiful land.
I spent an extraordinary day with Franck who knew how to share his lifestyle and make me discover all the workings of a life that I did not know.
All this without mentioning his sincerity and generosity. By going to Franck's place, you will find a sublime place to camp and a wonderful person to welcome you there.

  • Nice stay

  • After reading the comments, we wanted to go and rest at Franck's place. Alas, except from 11 pm to 6 am, the train passes every 2 hours !!!!! The river is dirty, the dry toilets are only a pierced chair and the solar shower a plastic tank with a pipe-head at 60 cm high. A bit low for adults! Be careful, there is no water : Franck tells you to go to the cemetery of the village to fill the poor jerrican that he leaves you. In short, we had reserved 6 days and left after 24 hours. This did not please Franck who was rude and dishonest.
In short: PLACE TO AVOID ABSOLUTELY

  • What can we say about this very special stay? We are torn between the desire that many other people could also live this enchanted parenthesis and the selfish desire to keep this place secret... ;)
It was a great experience, to be repeated without hesitation!
What happiness to find small simple pleasures: to live without looking at the time, to eat what we fished, to admire the starry sky to appreciate the sight, the peace, to walk, to bathe, to find itself... the real life!!!
A big thank you to Franck, the keeper of this haven of peace for his generosity and his benevolence.

  • Unforgettable stay spent with my daughter.
The place is a real paradise, which allows to decompress from the daily stress, it is appreciable to walk on the island and to observe the nature and the present animals.
Our host Franck, was welcoming, caring, available and concerned about our well being.
My 13 year old daughter enjoyed learning how to fish with the "carrelet", and discovered the pleasure of tasting the fruit of her patience.
We also had the privilege to visit the mill, a unique place. On the terrace there is a magnificent view, one has the impression that time stops, and that one dominates the world.
We will return it is on, because we did not have time to benefit thoroughly from the place, the time not being completely with us.
Thank you Franck, thank you for being who you are, thank you for all that you do for biodiversity and for future generations, I admire your way of being, your way of living in quasi self-sufficiency, you are the example that everything is possible.
    See you soon.

  • Great experience at Franc's, superb setting, thank you for your kindness, see you soon.

  • Great experience to be able to stay in such a beautiful and quiet place, to be able to swim in the river. After only a few days we had completely forgotten the city center of Brussels.

  • Perfect.
Perfect is the word that best describes this experience.
    The setting is beautiful, certainly.
It is a place where time stands still and you can allow yourself to be guided only by the sound of the birds.
It is a place where I could experience a certain withdrawal from the world that could be a little out of the ordinary.
But the place is nothing without its benefactor.
    Franck is passionate and exciting.
He puts an incredible amount of energy into the development and preservation of these habitats and lands that it is natural to be amazed by so much generosity.
I had such a great time thanks to him; we had great moments of sharing and I loved hearing each of the stories that make up the character and passion he has for the Living.
A very beautiful lesson and an incredible surprise of life.
Franck and his domain are one and the same and I am privileged to have been able to live among them for these few days.
Obviously, I would like to keep the secret of the place and the man for myself.
But not to incite the world to discover what I could discover myself would be selfish and probably a real waste for every camper who is looking for calm, nature, serenity and sharing.
So here it is: go and meet this wonderful character that is Franck.
Take the time to discover the man who takes care of nature.
    "The man who planted trees...
A hero of Giono, then. But as if by magic arrived in our days.
It is a moment of happiness.
A great, a superb and intense moment of happiness and sharing.
So one word: Thank you, Franck.
I will undoubtedly come back very soon to have the chance to dive back into this piece of paradise that secretly everyone will make a little bit his own.

  • Our stay with Franck was incredible. An exceptionally generous and caring person to the world around him, he has created a small paradise within nature. Here nature comes first, and he has landscaped the islands around him to make room for the biodiversity of the area, while making it accessible to visitors. The small river that surrounds the islands, the variety of animals that live there, and the quietness that reigns around, give this place an air of magic!
I can't recommend this stay enough. We came as a couple and Frank was very kind and welcoming, providing us with everything we needed to have a quiet time. We had our doubts before coming, but they disappeared the moment we arrived! Incredible. We will be back, 100%.
Thank you once again Franck! (And sorry for the delay of this comment!)
    J&J

  • A really great experience! Franck's islands allow a total disconnection from the daily rush. For one night or for several weeks, you will not be bored if you like nature, observing the fauna and flora, taking time to enjoy the river... Franck is a really nice host, considerate but who also knows how to be discreet. He shared with us his way of life, his vegetables and his projects. We didn't miss anything during our stay and we learned a lot thanks to Franck! We now know how to fish. And we have a lot of memories and we really want to come back. Moreover, our dog also received a very good welcome!

  • Franck knew how to make us discover his little corner of paradise and share what is dear to him as if we were expected friends. He was very attentive throughout our stay, discreet and available, letting us live our stay in our own way. His main concern was to make our life easier, if we only asked for it. He opened his home wide and we lived an experience we were looking forward to. Franck is a colorful and richly caring host. His property offered us everything we needed, green, water, trees, isolation without being far from services, a sought-after tranquility. We could have met nobody during these 15 days, happiness! Franck gave us access to his vegetable garden which we enjoyed. And what about our last evening under the stars! We feel a lot of gratitude for Franck's generosity...a thousand thanks for this enchanted interlude...
