Description

At the gates of the forest, this site is not overlooked, only visited by some game. Great hikes through the woods.

The setting

Isolated land on the edge of the forest, only the bells of the village located at 500 m are audible as well as the songs of birds, the wind in the trees and the fall of the pine cones.

The spots

No special location, at the discretion of the traveler!
Access is by a dirt road.
The terrain is slightly sloping, so you should plan on using chocks for your motor home.

In the nature !
Water point at 4 km in front of the canal port.
Washhouse at 100 m.

Barbecue available. Branches at will.

Very nice walks through the woods, abbey and mill nearby.
Golf course at 3.5 km.
Chateaux and grands crus.

Other things

Important : No emptying on the spot, you will find a service area at 10 km, in Epineuil, place des Relichiens (free tokens at the shopkeepers).

Water point at 5 km in Tanlay (in front of the port and canal), bakery, butcher's shop/supermarket, pizzeria, hardware store, post office, pharmacy, hairdresser's...).
Don't forget to specify that you are in motor home... to encourage the communes to install emptying areas !

Rules

Dumpsters are located in the village. Organic waste can be left for the animals.
Fires are forbidden in summer except in the barbecue and in the chimney.
Cigarette butts must not be thrown on the ground.
Dogs are welcome.
Possibility to keep your pet during the day in order to enjoy the cultural visits : 5 €.

  • Un grand merci à Corinne qui a accepté de nous recevoir un 27 décembre ce qui n’est tout de même pas habituel. Malgré une tempête locale, elle nous a attendus avec un feu de cheminée, tardivement et bien après l’heure prévue, nous-même étant bloqué par une tempête de neige !!!
    Une vraie gentillesse qui fait plaisir, encore merci à elle.

  • Nous avons passé un excellent moment chez Corinne, qui nous a très bien accueilli.
    Le spot est situé au cœur d’une belle forêt isolée, au calme, idéale pour les balades à pied ou à vélo.
    Malheureusement, nous ne sommes pas restés assez longtemps pour profiter de cette belle région.
    Nous reviendrons faire du vélo le long du canal, à 2 pas de chez Corinne, puis découvrir les vignobles de Chablis.
    Je conseille cette adresse à tous les amoureux de la nature et de calme.

  • The pls e is amazing, totally isolated and in nature. We had a wonderful stay but... the site isn’t suitable for a large van. Unfortunately driving back out we damaged the underside of our van as you cannot get around the corner without doing so. Its a shame it turned a magical experience into an expensive experience

  • Het was een verborgen plek bij het bos, we keren er zeker terug.
    Er zijn geen voorzieningen zoals water of electriciteit, maar een ervaring in de natuur!
