Description

Our spiritual home is set in 3 hectares of enclosed parkland, and is open all year round, except from July 15 to August 15, 2024, the period of the Olympic Games, when we apply a special rate (see advertisements).

The setting

The park is in a quiet location, high above the old village of Saint-Prix, a small middle-class town in the Val d'Oise.
At night, we discover the lights of Paris, La Défense, Montmartre and the Eiffel Tower.

The spots

there's a large, shaded parking area for motorhomes. However, access to the park is limited to vehicles under 7 m (narrow gate). The camping site is on a slope, but with a few flat areas suitable for scout and chaplaincy tents.

The sanitary facilities

There is an outside toilet and washbasin. There are no accessible showers.

The amenities

no internet in the park, but 4G easily available.
No accessible kitchen except for a fridge.
no electrical outlet available (except for recharging a phone).

The activities

walks in the Montmorency forest, visits to the château de la chasse, the Renaissance museum and the old village of Saint-Prix

Other things

the Transilien (Line H) takes you easily to Paris for all cultural and tourist visits.

Rules

stay limited to 5 days. Curfew at 10 p.m. to respect neighbors. Gate (email hidden)Please arrive before 8pm. Please let us know on arrival if you need to leave early.

  • We had a very nice stay here under big trees inside a wonderful garden.
    For us, walking with kids, the distance to the station where the trains go to Paris was a bit long, but there's a bus (we found out too late).

  • We stayed for three nights and showed our children Paris. The property is very nice and large. Toilets and refrigerator with freezer tank were available. For us completely sufficient. The only drawback is the proximity to the airport, which you can hide at the price but happy.

  • Domain and very pretty village but that we could not visit. The only drawback is that there is no possibility to walk around the town in the evening because the gate is locked. What would be great a key box or code to see return in the evening at our convenience.

  • A very pleasant one-night family stay (in a van) in this magnificent park, well planted and carefully maintained. Very good welcome by Thierry and his wife, with in bonus a small visit of the place. The site is very beautiful and calm, conducive to rest. The view on the North-West of Paris is magnificent on a clear day. Finally, the independent toilets + washbasin and the proposed breakfast are a real plus. We recommend without reservation and would be delighted to come back, longer this time, to visit the surroundings.
