Description

Recently installed in this typical farm of the region, dating from the 50's, we are in the process of renovation.
The house was chosen for its large grounds in order to accommodate travelers but also and especially, horses and other animals.
Nothing is finished, but isn't it the work of a lifetime?
We will be delighted to welcome you for a night, a week... in our little haven of peace, to exchange, share our travel experiences or simply to rest.
Here live with us our 2 daughters but also 2 dogs, 1 pony, 2 cats, chickens, swallows, titmice and other animals with fur, feathers...

The setting

Country and bucolic setting, small road with little traffic around the house, risk of tractor noises during the day, some cows bellowing and other noisy sheep...beware of the noises of the countryside, you get used to it!

The spots

Nothing is defined, the ground is vast, allowing to isolate itself.
Shade or sun, you choose!
Having a big enough camping car, the access is easy, but better foresee the chocks because it is not perfectly flat!

The sanitary facilities

Cold water in self-service (in a reasonable way), for what concerns the shower access from 9 am to 6 pm seems reasonable to me.

The amenities

A wifi code will be given to you if needed but the network is not great, especially with the big stone walls!
We will gladly make room in the kitchen and the fridge but without abuse...
Electricity with external connection and loan of an extension cord if necessary.

The activities

Our house is located not far from several historical sites (the tower of roche en regnier, the castle of saint andré de chalencon, the castle of Artias, the bridge of the devil, Craponne sur Arzon, Retournac...) and of course the Loire, still wild, on which you will be able to try your hand at the canoe, to make tyrolienne, to climb the natural wall of climbing which overhangs the town of Retournac...
Le Puy en Velay, a place of lace, history and architecture, is less than an hour away.
In short, if you want to be amazed by the mountainous and wild landscapes, to get some blisters on our hiking trails or to relax while sipping a drink with the birds singing in the background, it's here !

Other things

It is best to contact us for more information and to discuss the possibilities together.
We are not a camping site and do not pretend to be one.
But having lived on the road and after some difficulties to find accommodation, we found the initiative of this site superb!

Rules

Even if we don't necessarily like the rules, it can help to keep everyone on track.

"One person's freedom ends where another's begins!"

At our house there are children running free, they are not mean but we fear for them when motorized vehicles or unknown dogs arrive .
Speaking of dogs, ours are not aggressive but it is their territory so be careful not to let yours roam, especially if a disagreement is felt.

Apart from that we are not against nightly barbecues or music as long as it remains reasonable and friendly!

Extras

Possibility of breakfast (€3 / person)

Depending on the season, we will try to offer fresh and local products, even home-made (bread, butter, jam, eggs...) and of course tea, herbal tea, coffee.

  • Everything was perfect, from start to finish, we couldn't have asked for better. Jess and Ju are really cool! The place is very nice. With my 4 companions, we spent 2 unforgettable weeks and this home camp was a great part of our incredible experience. We were sad when we left, and it is with great pleasure that we will come back here for other vacations like this one!

  • Hello, we spent a good night at Jessica's house in a pleasant setting (too bad it was raining). Very good welcome. Thank you

  • Everything was perfect! Julien and Jessica are really great hosts.
The land is nice, dry toilets in a caravan so we don't have to disturb them to go to the toilet. The independence very pleasant.
We really spent a great weekend! We will come back for sure! ????

  • Super stay of 3 nights at Jessica and her family. We thank them for their welcome, their smiles and good mood, their advice. We went hiking around the village of Chalençon, canoeing in Vorey and visited the surrounding area, it's beautiful! We recommend without hesitation Jessica and her region !!!! One 10 out of 10????????????
